I was a member for almost a year initially but cancelled due to Luana "moaning" about her personal issues during facials. It is not appropriate for a practitioner to put their personal and business issues on clients. After leaving facials exhausted with a bad vibes I cancelled. I never voiced this in person to her because I did not have the heart to say. But I went back and I rejoined for a 2nd time, I wanted to support someone who seemed to have issues. My second experience ended disappointedly. I asked to extend my membership by 1x month in person face-to-face with Luana after a facial, who was pleasant and agreeable at the time. There has been disruption with the move of the salon, and I'd found it hard to get appointments there. After Luana was agreeable I spent my time looking for appointments. Then Luana changed her mind and said I'd have to renew for 3x months rather than be allowed to extend my current membership by a month. It was unprofessional to be agreeable with a client in person and then change mind. YES this did anger me and I wasn't so pleasant about it. Luana did not have the best people skills at reading the room and she basically told me to go to another salon which unfortunately made me even more angry. I've had my own business for over 20-years - no matter how heated my clients have gotten with me I would never dare tell someone to go elsewhere. I mentioned I would voice my concerns on a review, which I am entitled to do so and was accused of being vindictive. I am allowed to express my opinion on a review if I wish thank-you. I've also put some positives below so it's a balanced review with positives. NEGATIVES I was more loyal to this salon than anywhere else in Boca Raton - mainly because I wanted to help someone who always seemed to be in a state of distress about her business and personal life - I booked facials, bought loads of products off the shelf, I went to the other practitioners who worked there for lashes and massages Treatments of staff - Luana appeared to have an attitude with 'staff' - one day went I went in she'd gotten rid of most of them and commented "I don't want to book appointment's all day long for people' ... I thought to myself, 'you run a salon - booking appointments is part of the job!' This is not a positive way to have you're salon marketed by word of mouth to people! Love this place! I have a monthly membership for $12 and you get 50% of all services, so it's a great deal! All of the services I had have been relaxing and have helped my skin. I love the vibe and atmosphere - from the bamboo ceilings in the spa rooms, to how they merchandise product in the front of the spa. I have sensitive skin and the products they use haven't caused any issues like I have experienced at other places. Everyone is so friendly and nice and makes me feel welcome and comfortable.
