The property is bit tired, but the location makes up for it. Let's call it a three-star hotel in a five-star setting. Literally across the street from a beautiful beach full of beautiful people, and around the corner from the Corso, with all of Manly's best shops and restaurants. Only a few blocks from the Manly Wharf, providing frequent ferry service to the City, as well.
The rooms are reasonably clean and decently appointed. All east-facing rooms have ocean-view balconies, with those on the second floor having a huge patio with seating for 6-8 people.
A couple tips; If you're staying on a Saturday and/or Sunday night, request a room on the north side of the hotel, away from the thumping bass coming from the disco. You'll need to join the hotel loyalty program for complimentary wifi.
The front desk staff can be a little stuffy, but efficient enough. The breakfast offerings are quite good, with excellent service, as well. read more
