The main contact for this business seems to be Oscar Torres at 815-943-5904. In our opinion, you'd…read morewant to MAKE SURE that you get a proposal for work to be done in writing with this company, so that there is no misunderstanding about what work was discussed. We tried to contract Twin Peaks to follow up to excavation work in our yard. We discussed with Oscar to remove the top remaining clay/rocks in the excavation areas, and fill in with 2.5 to 3 inches of top soil, and then seed with grass. We discussed extensively with him that the 2.5 to 3 inches of top soil was an estimate, but basically that they would remove the 'fill' to that depth, and fill in with the top soil. What we got was anywhere from 3 inches (very rare) to almost exclusively 1 inch to 1/2 inch of top soil. He never contacted us on his own to follow up on the job even though he works in the neighborhood frequently. When we finally saw him doing a job at a neighbor, went to talk to him, and showed him the areas that basically had no topsoil, he really had no response besides, "What do you want me to do?" He offered to aerate the areas and overseed again. We replied, unless he wants to dig out all the fill, install the 2.5 to 3 inch topsoil that we contracted for, reseed, and then water for a couple months daily with his own water, we really don't think it was worth it. In our opinion, Twins Peaks screwed us over by not doing what we contracted for. Again, if anyone ever wants to use Twins Peaks, or any contractor for that matter, make sure that you have a written, signed contract (not estimate) for the job. We even tipped the crew some more cash before we realized that they didn't do the agreed upon job. In our opinion, do NOT think about trying Twin Peaks Landscaping in Island Lake, IL, for your landscaping needs.
