They come do work for my neighbors not me but they are always blocking my driveway. I have asked them multiple times not to and they are just very rude to me saying there's no where else to park and there is no problem even when I point out sufficient parking areas. If you are blocking someone's property then yes there is a problem.They have done this multiple times over the past 2 years and it is so frustrating. I've reached out to the company and still have this problem. Everything just falls on ears of people who don't care. Please don't be rude to your neighbors this way when you are living next to each other and want to have good relations. read more

We have been using Contour Landscaping for several years and find the service and skill to be the best. Ed treats our lawn like it was his and is always finding ways to improve it. Even something basic like lawn mowing is treated with innovation. One week the yard is mowed in a horizontal and vertical pattern. The next week it is mowed on a diagonal. We just switched to Contour this spring and, so far, are really pleased with the results. Communication is excellent. Yard has never looked better. We had one minor problem with a damaged sprinkler head and they responded immediately to say it would be repaired. Just the best! We had Contour Landscaping draw up some plans to help beautify our backyard and the project was completed over a year ago. We are enjoying our backyard immensely! The time they took to listen to what we wanted, think about and design a plan for the planting, and then do the planting was just amazing. At the end of the planting, Ed patiently went plant by plant while I took notes on how to best care for each plant. What incredible professionals! I asked them to fill in dirt and add sod near a driveway and sidewalk to make it level with the pavement, because the existing situation made it easy to trip if you stepped on the edge. But they didn't put in enough dirt, so I'll have to call someone else to do the same job. Yes, the job looks fine, but they didn't do what I asked them to do. read more

Some people on my block use them. I rarely park on the street but today I had to with some stuff I was bringing home. When I got home they parked their truck in front of house which is fine but they put out 15 orange cones taking up 30 feet front and back of their trailer practically blocking whole space in front of my house and my neighbors. I complained to a guy and he said it's because he is working at the house. I told him I lived there and I never hired him and he was obviously not working there or my neighbors next to my house. And he told me there are plenty of parking next block and I can park there. I told him he can park there and front of the house where they are working. He informed me that I don't own the street! It is illegal to use traffic cones without permit in some states. I am not sure about Chicago but even if it's not illegal I don't see how you can justify blocking that much space with orange cones for you gardening trailer. It is just not nice and if that's inevitable i would expect them to be apologetic about it instead of yelling at me how I don't own the street. I give them one star based on their workers' manner that would translate to customer care. I wouldn't want my contractors being rude to my neighbors and make enemies with them. read more

Used Contour Landscaping to have our yard resodded and landscaping redone after some Extensive plumbing work left us with a mess of a yard. Dan came and laid out a great plan at a competitive price and was able to include repairing a small patch of driveway that was also dug up. Great. We had to wait a few months to have the work done, which was somewhat expected but added to because of rain. During our email correspondence, there were several time things didn't seem to be very clearly understood but t was ok (I didn't like one plant he chose, and there were options for some plants and several times it didn't seem as if he understood which I was talking about). Finally we had the work done, and prior, Dan came out to go over everything. I very clearly told him to not cut the ivy growing on our home. It was extensive and I had been growing it for almost 5 years. The crew came to clear out the old landscaping and, lo and behold, they cut and killed the ivy. I don't know if Dan didn't tell them, if they made an error or what but it was irreparable. Add to this, I expressed that I was a bit frustrated at the slowish pace and he said the job was nearly done, even though 3/4 of the front yard wasn't resodded. When I said this, he tried to tell me we never agreed to have the whole front yard re-sodded (we did). The reason this isn't a one star review is because they did make up for the error and did additional re-sodding in the back yard for free and expanded another area they were originally going to redo. So they did make up for their mistake, but it still would make me wary to use them again. read more

Just amazing, I cannot say enough about the great job the guys at Contour did. My yard was more of a science experiment before I contacted Contour, I now have the nicest looking grass on the block thanks to the painless sod installation.
