Tried the red light/infrared sauna special. Couldn't enjoy it more. Very soothing in the sauna room, sauna was between 115-135 degrees, warmed slowly, thunderstorm sounds on the background. They offered coconut water or mineral water, plenty of towels, and my private sauna. Was worried I'd want to get out after a few minutes but was pleasantly surprised 15 min had passed, and I had no problems staying in for 40 min. The lobby is relaxing and everyone was welcoming. I went in because I had horrible tmj pain. I saw Dr. Saleh. He had great bedside manner, was friendly, and professional. Prior to my visit I ended up in the ER after a dentist appointment with muscle spasms on the whole left side of my face, excruciating tmj pain, I couldn't eat on my left side because of teeth and tmj pain. I was drinking smoothies. I was taking Ibuprofen and tylenol around the clock and it wasn't helping control the pain anymore. ER prescribed a muscle relaxer. That helped stop the spasms, but the next day I was still in pain. Then I was desperate enough to try acupuncture after a friend reccomended. After 1st session with Acupuncture I felt so much relief. I immediately stopped the muscle relaxer. By the 2nd session I stopped Ibuprofen. After 3rd or 4th session I was back to my "normal" before the flare up. I am still working on healing but I am so thankful to now have Dr. Saleh to visit if I ever get another flare up. I am thinking of scheduling a monthly visit to keep inflammation in check. I highly reccomend Dr. Saleh. If you are in pain, don't hesitate to go in and get help. I only wish I would have given it a try sooner. read more

What a beautiful yoga studio and massage room. Very clean and quiet. I liked that when I checked into yelp I was offered a free yoga class, SCORE! I'll have to come back and use it. My massage was amazing as usual, my sciatic had been bothering me and Cynthia helped release some of the pain. I didn't want to get off the massage table. I only go here for yoga classes, so I can't speak for anything else they offer, but the classes are pretty good compared to others I've tried in this area. Emily and Marie are my favorite teachers here. They listen to their students and students' needs, and are very yoga-oriented. (Not fitness-oriented, straight from the gym scene.) I wouldn't call them gentle teachers (despite the names of some of the classes), but they're good teachers with plenty of experience. I like that the classes aren't usually full-to-the-max, so there's room to move around, and plenty of wall space. Amy's qi gong-oriented classes are unique and interesting, and always packed full. She's popular! It's empowering to see different body types and ages here. The equipment there is kind of lousy (and almost worth deducting two stars). The bolsters are a joke (they're tiny decorative pillows that don't help at all), the blocks are too small (I almost injured myself trying to use them for a lunge), and they do have mats to use, but they're VERY thin. Bring your own mat! (That's probably a good rule of thumb anyway-- sharing mats can be icky.) On the plus side, they finally got some sandbags, so they get a star for that. I love the floors in this place-- the cork is more forgiving than bamboo, and probably not as chilly. The space is very odd-shaped, and all the mirrors on the walls creep me out a little bit. Because the signage on the door isn't very good, and because the classes are scheduled back to back, it's easy to walk in on a class who is still in shavasana, or for the UPS guy to barge into the middle of a meditation. It also seems like no one shows up early to be ready to begin at the start time (maybe because so many classes are scheduled back to back), which is different than any place else I've practiced. Their website needs work, and the mindbodyonline site they use for scheduling is never up to date. I've shown up before to classes that were cancelled, but it wasn't updated on the calendar and there was no sign on the door. (Once there was a new student waiting with me-- who knows if they missed out on a potential new customer because of that.) When there's a substitute, they don't update the calendar either. It's important that I know who is teaching a class before I walk in (and need to decide whether or not to go). Overall, yoga feels like a bit of an afterthought here, given everything else they offer, or yoga is just not a priority for them. However, there's a definite need for a space like this, and I hope they continue to grow their yoga offerings. They also offer a free community class, which is important to me. read more

I have been going to Amy for acupuncture for 8 months now, and I have to say she is wonderful. She is always smiling and happy and she puts you at ease immediately. She asks questions and really listens so that she can give you the treatment that YOU would benefit from the most. I was in a car accident almost a year prior to going to Amy. Since I was at the point of figuring out what I could do for pain management, I decided to try acupuncture in conjunction with myofascial treatments. So far this combination seems to be helping - I still have to take prescription pain medicine, but now the pain is tolerable. Just trying to figure out frequency of treatments in order to manage my pain. If you're afraid of needles, I swear it doesn't hurt. At most it feels like someone flicked you softly with their finger. When I first started going, Amy cupped my back. My previous acupuncturist had also cupped my back once and it was not enjoyable or helpful at all. It was a completely different experience with Amy. It's going to sound odd, but acupuncture "centers" and relaxed me. My husband will tell me sometimes that I need to have acupuncture just like I tell him he needs to go get a massage. When I discovered Amy I was in constant chronic back pain that had me in tears almost every day. My days off work consisted of laying in bed, icing my back, and taking pain medications which led me to develop gastric ulcers. I did physical therapy for around a year and a half, got regular massages, and even tried accupuncture elsewhere, and doctors told me my only option left was to receive spinal injections. My first visit with Amy she told me to come for 3 appointments and then just once in a while as needed. I looked at her blankly as if she didn't hear me say I've been suffering with this for years. I have been wanting to try yoga recently and I found this place right here on Yelp. I really appreciated the calming, relaxing atmosphere. My instructor was very helpful with making sure my form was correct at all times without making me feel foolish. There were a few poses that I could not do because I'm such a beginner, my instructor helped with modifications. NTouch is by far the best spa and wellness center in Modesto. Amy, our massage therapist, always amazes us with her intuitive analysis. She always knows EXACTLY how to treat us for optimal results. My husband has arthritis and suffers from chronic pain. His pain can't be alleviated with cookie-cutter treatments, and Amy understands this. Her massage treatments often incorporate cupping, acupuncture, heat, etc. Which ever treatment Amy deems appropriate, for that particular session, it is ALWAYS the right choice. He always walks away feeling so much better than when he arrived. My treatments are for a different reason. I have aches and pains from past whiplashes, but primarily from everyday stresses. Amy's approach is different with me -- she knows how to calm me down and soothe my aches and pains with a gentler approach. In the end, I leave NTouch feeling like a brand new person. So whether you need help with chronic pain or you just want to spoil yourself with some relaxation, NTouch is the place to go. I have been going to Ntouch for various treatments and yoga since they opened in their new location, adding the yoga portion. I started my yoga practice with Ntouch. The classes they have offer a variety of movements for the varying needs and lifestyles of their clients. I have done gentle flow and more vinyasa style on separate occasions and always felt like the teacher was attentive to each person there, yet I was getting exactly what I needed! The prenatal yoga is probably the best in town. And I say probably because I was so fulfilled each class, I never felt the need to go anywhere else. Lori Fenner leads an amazing class that helps momma and baby connect in such a powerful and unique way. My recovery since childbirth has been great because of the combination of prenatal yoga and all of the acupuncture Amy Arreygue was providing during the last two months of my pregnancy. I went weekly and swore by it. Helped so much with the anxiety of the last hump before the baby arrives. I always feel so peaceful leaving her office. She is knowledgable on integrating healthy habits into your daily life (diet, stretching, qi gong, etc). Shelby Snyder is also an amazing therapist there. Her massages send you into another world. When you come back to earth, your body feels so refreshed and taken care of. She is very attentive and intuitive to the needs of her clients. She is one of the only therapists my husband has felt comfortable with and enjoyed the massage. To sum it up, this place is the business! Super friendly and positive. Their involvement in their immediate community of clients/friends and the greater parts of Modesto is highly important to them. It's great to k ow this place exists with their progressive styles of treatment. I went to Ntouch and was seen by Amy. She is amazing! After even 1 treatment I noticed a HUGE difference! I was a mess going in there, she had her work cut out for her. I had a roll over car accident 15 years ago so I have neck pain often, and do to standing on my feet all day at work, some weeks I work 7 days a week, my back, legs and feet hurt too. I told her that I hurt "My everything hurts". She could feel the tension for sure, she used massage, cupping, and acupuncture. I absolutely cannot believe the difference that one visit made. It wasn't a miracle cure, but it was close. The ache in my back and neck had become almost unbearable before seeing her. I'd tried stretching, Epsom salt baths, & orthotic inserts for my shoes. While all of this kind of helped, the absolute difference was felt after going into Ntouch and seeing Amy. The office staff was very friendly & the relief I felt after is priceless. I was experiencing lower back pain and nothing was helping so I booked an appointment on the Yelp app which was super easy with a quick response from Ralph who was very helpful and responsive. I had been to NTouch for yoga classes and really enjoyed them but this time I was trying acupuncture and cupping with Amy. I had done acupuncture before so I knew what to expect and barely felt the needles go in - she even put one on the top of my head which I didn't feel at all. Cupping was new to me and it feels a little itchy but didn't hurt or cause any discomfort. Amy was great as she took the time to ask questions and answered all of mine. She also explained her process each step of the way and gave good advice on stretching and suggested specific yoga poses. My lower back pain still exists but is a bit more tolerable since my treatment at NTouch. I will be going back soon for more of Amy's amazing services! read more

This review has been a long time coming. I have been seeing Amy for acupuncture for about a year now. And I have to say that she has saved my life. Quite a grand statement, I know, but it's true. Let me explain. I have suffered from chronic pain for over 6 years. I had 3 ruptured discs in my neck, one of which was fused, the following 2 remain ruptured. I also have facet joint syndrome throughout my neck. The facet joints are like the skid plates on both sides of the vertebrae. You're supposed to have a gel pocket in between these plates, I do not. I also have arthritis in my neck. I have been to every vertebral surgeon and specialist in the area. I also have been to the leading pain management specialists and have been through many procedures to relieve the pain. They have even burned the nerves in my neck. Nothing has worked. I was desperate. So I made a list of what my options there were and started to go down the list. The first option was acupuncture. I figured I would try it just to write it off. When I met Amy the first time, she even said, you are here so you can write this off, aren't you? She said it in a kind and non-judgmental way with a smile on her face. She followed it up with, if you give it a chance, I think it can alleviate some of your pain. But you have to try it at least three times. I agreed but in the back of my mind I was convinced this was still a bunch of horse $#!+ and it wouldn't help. Long story short, I am FREE OF PAIN. I can't believe it. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think any of this would even help, much less do away with it. Mind you, once in a while, I do need to return for a follow up. But it isn't very often, like once every few months. Earlier I said that Amy saved my life. And in all honesty she has, because if I continued down the path I was on, it would have ended in death. The pain was so excruciating that it didn't matter how many Oxy's I took. There were times when I took 3 Oxy's, two Tramadol's and drank a lot of whiskey and still was in agony. Sooner or later the pills and attempts to kill the pain were going to kill me; that's a fact. So I owe my life to Amy. I'm alive again. Enjoying life again. No more pain pills. The years I have left are not going to be fraught with pain and suffering, because of Amy and her God-given gift. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you Amy. If you have pain, give her three chances. Maybe she can fix you too. read more
