Mr. Stanley's analysis and application was as perfect as humanly possible. Please consider a visit with him before a chiro, pt, medical doctor, etc. In two visits, I feel 70% improvement. Katie at the front desk has the most welcoming smile! Dr Stanley is super accommodating and made sure that I was comfortable . He made had great suggestions regarding treatment that seemed a bIt unconventional for my lower back. I came in with back pain and I expected to have needles in my back while laying flat on my stomach like the traditional way, but he ended up putting the needles in my wrist and my head to increase the blood flood that would also reach my back ... at first I was very skeptical but after the treatment , it worked! I searched out for an acupuncturist like the one on the cruise I had taken recently. It wasn't the typical visit and instead using my pulse in both of my wrists was able to pinpoint exactly the treatment I needed. I had oral cancer and the surgical sites have been numb and my saliva was aided by a spray that I had to buy over the counter. I was told by the specialist that it could take years and possibly never have feeling return back to those areas and the saliva I would have to deal with. Thanks to Stanly Chuong I have 99% feeling back in those surgical sites and my saliva production has increased full force in just 3 visits. Life changing in the best way. I have had the same shoulder issue for over 2 years. I have gone to an orthopedist had cortisone shots (not good for my body) and gone to countless PT sessions. Had the worst flare up to date, decided to try acupuncture. I went into the appointment with severe pain and very limited range of motion. The day after my acupuncture appt my pain had subsided so much I felt human again. A total of 3 visits and just wow! Beyond amazing difference. I have been sick for 2 years 4 months. I've been going to the doctor a lot, many specialists, I've bought so many home remedies (herbs/vitamins/essential oils) I'm guessing we have spent around or over 20k attempting to get me better. I was talking to my mom while at the gym about how I felt like giving up because I'm tired of feeling like this and an elderly man suggested I try acupuncture. That day (Monday) I made an appointment and went within a few hours. I'm not going to lie, I was very skeptical. How could this possibly help me?! I wish I could put my symptoms but let me tell you, I have an appointment today with a geneticist for cancer counseling to give you an idea. So I go in, was taken back right away. I sat there crying telling him everything and how horrible I felt. He told me he was going to make me better. He actually set a timeline and told me on day 3 of treatment id notice a change. Two significant health problems have not yet gone away, but are almost gone. He found a big issue doctors haven't even treated and made me aware of it. I cried to him once again today, but this time tears of joy. Instead of feeling like throwing in the towel, I feel encouraged to keep going. If you are sick, I would highly recommend giving him one chance at treating you. You will see a difference. Each acupuncture session is 66 if you pay cash, 70 for cc. Most insurance companies cover it and will reimburse you too! During my first treatment he even gave me some Chinese medicine (all herbal) to take -which was only 10 dollars, super cheap compared to all the prescriptions I have paid for at Kaiser with zero side effects. I wish I could go into detail about how he has changed my life in just 4 days (3 treatments) he was God sent. read more

I'm gonna list all the pros & cons here: Pros: I think my neck & shoulder pain improved after the acupuncture. The receptionist spoke fairly decent English & was kind & friendly, professional. Cons: (Dec.) It was very cold. -Granted, I have low thyroid, but still. The office complex is not a great one. Walking into the office gave very little relief from the bitter cold outside. I was not happy that I had to walk BACK outside into that bitter cold to have to go use the bitter cold outdoor bathrooms. Then no warm office to go back to either. When it was time for acupuncture: The dr did not have a caring way about him. It also seemed that his questions were nothing to do with concern or compassion for me, or for treatment, but to be nosey & judgmental only. There I am laying on the table, which by the way, has a sheet, then paper. This guy is soooo cheap. You won't get enough heat in the room. You can't get an indoor bathroom, and you're not even so sure you should lay on that bed. He's so cheap/ lazy. Can't be bothered with washing sheets. There's a narrow strip of paper on the table-bed, on top of a sheet. I only HOPE some sweaty, filthy body wasn't laying there, prior. The worst part: So there I am on the table, no shirt on, in month of Dec, in a cold office. Now I've had a lot of massages done lately, even back in Oct, when it was still warm here. They ALWAYS cover you with sheets, blankets, sometimes even heated blankets! :-) This guy offered NO such thing! NOTHING! Finally, I speak up. I'm pretty cold. So he turned a heat lamp on my back. Okay.. a lil warmer, but I'm still cold. I say "thank you. I'm still cold though... my legs & feet, etc. So he looks around. He wound up putting a tiny hand towel over just my feet. So I still had to ask for leg covering. He put something else on me. I had to bear through the cold for an hour, apparently. I knew I wouldn't be coming back to this guy, after all I'd experienced so far. Not only that, but it was "so funny". They turn out the light after the needles are you in, as if you're suppose to relax. They come in & check in on you & leave saying "okay. You take a nap, okay??" What a joke! 2 ft away is a door that goes outside, & the outdoor bathroom noise coming through another wall. I heard every person come into the bathroom, keys jinling, doors opening & closing, flushing. I heard all the outdoor traffic of cars whooshing back & forth, doors slamming loudly. As I pay & get ready to leave, I bought chinese pills from the doc for my congestion in lungs, and some tea my daughter had been wanting. Receptionist is about to leave the room for the stuff to get for me, when she says "Oh... you maybe wanna spend MORE money? Buy something else??" I HATE that kind of money- greedy mentality these people have. And for what? So they can be so cheap that you're cold the whole time?? -NOT coming back here. The only other acupunctures I'd been to was 1 in Tracy. (too far to go for reg acupuntcure.) & I went to Frank Shen on Carver yrs ago. I only went once, so wasn't sure of the results. BUT, I DO remember him being an incredibly kind, GENTLE, CARING man. He had such a caring, gentle way about him. I'll be going back to him next time, for sure. read more

I've had sciatica for 3+ years, never considered acupuncture until our cruise this last February. Had to go to Oregon in March, out of desperation, I tried them, since every office in Stockton was booked up on a Friday. The office is in a small location, but the Doctor is very good, the treatment allowed me to go the entire 10 hours by car without pain. I now go about every 6 weeks for "maintenance". I have suffered from sciatica/back pain for a few years now, and was told acupuncture can help relieve that pain. I went here because I was unable to get in to another well known acupuncture facility in Modesto and was taken the same day I called. I showed up and explained my symptoms and that it was my first time trying acupuncture. Dr. Chuong was in no rush to get me out and listened to me and took his time, I was a bit nervous at first, but it wasn't long before that was a thing of the past. I'm not a big advocate for taking pain pills so if I can do anything a little more natural I will, and I feel that this definitely helped, but depending on the severity you may need to do it a couple times. read more

I chose Modesto Acupuncture after much research. I have some sort of muscle connective disorder brought on by antibiotics I was given and ultimately allergic to, to treat pneumonia; which, medical doctors are still unable to figure out why such damage to my muscles occurred. This issue has been going on for 9 months, and each day becomes progressively worse. I decided to try acupuncture, and wanted someone who was educated in the field -- with the credentials to back their knowledge. Stanly Chuong L-AC was the man I chose. Even with all of the research I did, you really can't be 100% certain the person you choose will be as knowledgeable as you hope they'll be or as they profess online. Yesterday, my left hand middle finger and my right hand thumb were swollen and could hardly move. My pain is usually at an 8 if I don't take the anti-inflammatories my physician prescribed. I had my first treatment. As unbelievable as it sounds; I see improvement! I am excited about this new journey I'm embarking on for healing. It is the first ray of hope I've had in many months! I will keep everyone posted as I see you change. Stanly's office is clean. It is NOT a Day Spa setting, but it's clean and tidy. I have already informed other people I know with chronic disorders to check out Modesto Acupuncture. I truly think there's something to this! I have been a patient of Stanly Chuong for the last year and a half, receiving treatments originally weekly and now every 2 weeks. When I first started going to Modesto Acupuncture I was in pretty bad shape. I had bad headaches daily, severe itching above my left eye and having asthma since childhood I used an inhaler daily. My headaches and itching are pretty much gone altogether and for the first time in my life (I am 66 years old) I haven't used my asthma inhaler for the last 9 months and believe I will never need to use it again. Stanly is extremely knowledgeable and caring person who listens to your concerns and always makes you feel comfortable. I feel like I have been given my life with health back thanks to Stanly. I actually look forward to our treatments. I have even tried to see Stanly weekly but he says "not necessary anymore", a tribute to his honesty.
