I work in the ER, and although I was sent home with steroids and antivirals, I still felt lost because many of my questions were unanswered and no one could give me a clear reason why it happened. I was told it could have been triggered by a virus, stress, or lack of sleep. Before starting acupuncture, the entire right side of my face was completely paralyzed. I could not smile at all, I could not close my eye, and I had to tape my eye shut every night to protect it. Watching your face change like that is incredibly hard and scary, and it affects you emotionally in ways people don't always understand. After finishing my steroids, I decided to start acupuncture with Dr. Lanie Quan, and I truly believe I came into the right hands. I am currently on session six and the difference has been incredible. My face now looks close to normal again, my movement has improved so much, and I finally feel hopeful in my recovery. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Lanie Quan and her team for supporting me through this journey and helping me through my Bell's palsy recovery. I showed up and showed them my card and they assured me they accepted my insurance, but since it was a Saturday, they would have to charge me the full $80 and would reimburse me the rest via check. I never received that check. When I called a month later to follow up, they said they don't take my insurance. I told them I never would've gone there if they had told me that from the beginning! Most every one takes Blue Cross PPO, but if they didn't, they could've simply told me so and I would've gone to virtually any other Chiropractor (as most take it). Instead, they took my money and deceived me. So as far as I'm concerned, this place is a total scam. I would give them zero stars, but that's not an option.

Given my previous experience I recently decided to return while experiencing extremely tight muscles in my lower leg which after just one session has made a huge difference. I've been experiencing this tightness for 2 years since having Knee Surgery and literally no amount of trying to resolve it (with heat, stretching and PT) has worked so the fact that a 30 minute session had such a huge improvement is amazing! They are very busy here so getting an appointment may take a few weeks but Wilson is awesome and will do all he can to get you taken care of.

But, if you can get past that, and just chalk it up to some people are just offputting, the Dr is amazing. I saw him about 10 sessions for severe chronic sciatic pain/piriformis syndrome. I had tried everything, physical therapy, anti inflammatory medicine, muscle relaxers, steroid injection. Nothing ever helped, until I started receiving acupuncture treatment. This is literally the only thing that has ever worked, and it works extremely well. Trust me, I don't appreciate the poor customer service from the lady at the front (she's actually his wife) but if you are able to endure it (lol) and just let it go, it will be the best decision you've ever made!
