I came here for the first time a few weeks ago just to get a minimal trim because my hair is super damaged from coloring. Miriam was super professional and kind. I had a haircut and I did a conditioning treatment. Since my hair is slightly short, I brought in my clip on extensions and asked if she could blend them in for me and she did an amazing job and I love how it looks. I didn't get a super New haircut as I had tried to cut my own hair up a little bit as left it choppy at home as salons were closed because of Covid. so we're working on growing it a little bit first before I can really style it. read more

Nadia is very good with easy colors, however she may not have much expertise with working on blondes. She over-processed my balayage with her lack of care and attention, leaving my previously very healthy hair frail and very damaged. I last went to her about 9 months ago, and the pieces she over processed are still healing and not growing back. I do commend her affordable pricing, but if you want a good job done just pay the extra money to see a specialist. That being said, her license is also a bit outdated (early 2000's), so her skills may not be formally updated in a lot more trendy and technically trained hair services. I would recommend this hair studio for more mature middle aged women and men that are looking for simple work done. read more

I was in need of a local hairdresser I just could not find one just driving around. So I turned to yelp as I generally do. I found this one and several other but Nu Image is right next to our dog groomer, why did I not see that. She was able to get me scheduled on last minute notice. Extremely nice and very professional I love the way my hair turned out. She gave me her professional opinion which I love but ultimately did exactly what I asked for. Miriam is a good stylist, but she is a very bad businesswoman. I can't count the number of times she has kept me waiting when I have had appointments. She took a walk in before me and when I had a wedding to go to and was crunched for time she had me come back an hour later, even though I had an appointment. Yesterday was the last straw. I hadn't seen her for a while so I made an appointment. I arrived early for my appointment and she wasn't even in the shop. She had just left Riverside. I waited 15 minutes, she still wasn't there so I just left. This has happened so many times with her I just didn't want to wait anymore. I'm done! read more

First time here and got a haircut by Miriam! She did a great job! Only reason for the 1 star is because I didn't realize she over charged me until I got home! I just wanted a quick haircut because my fiancé and baby were waiting in the car, she washed, cut and started blow drying which I didn't ask for!! she just started doing it! I assumed it was part of the service so didn't really care and since my hair got cut really short It was going to be quick! Anyways she quoted me $25 for the cut when I called, when I went to pay she said it was $35!! I figured I just misunderstood over the phone when I called and she said $35 instead of $25! I was in a rush and wasn't trying to be rude! So I paid!! but I did ask as I was paying (I thought it was $25) she said it is! But I dried your hair!! Didn't hit till I got home! That I paid for the blow dry which I didn't ask for nor she informed it going going to be more money!! So sad because she did a good job! And I would have been a loyal customer! read more

Love Miriam! She's super accommodating, gets to know you and does a fantastic job. She also uses Olaplex so it helps a lot if you're bleaching your hair. I live in Redondo and have been coming to her for my last few cuts. Granted, my in-laws live here so it makes it convenient but she's amazing nevertheless. She bleached and toned my hair back in February. Of course the toner was gone within a couple weeks since I went for an ashy gray but the bleach job itself was so amazing! This is my hair now, no toner in it currently and the color is an amazing ash brown. Having thick Asian hair usually means an ash brown is super difficult but she managed to do it! read more

Miriam did it again!! She did the Brazilian blowout on my hair and I love it!! It only took me 14min to blow dry my hair straight!! It usually takes me 30-40 min with a round brush and then I have to go over it with a flat iron. Not anymore!! This is a game changer. read more

I have been meaning to leave a review for a while but I love this place! I recently moved to the area and was going to another salon. .. they destroyed my hair! My hair was literally breaking off and I was on the verge of shaving my head and starting from scratch. Then I found this place, they saved my hair and have done a great job with the colors! I now have am amazing hair cut and a great blend of color. My hair is growing back and it is almost back to a decent length. I love this place, friendly stylists, great service and good prices. It was my first visit. My daughter had her haircut with Miriam and I had Sabrina. I really liked the fact that Sabrina took the time to talk to me about the haircut, what I meant by trimming and haircut, and offered her opinion. By her suggestion I end up having some layers on my super curly hair, and so far I'm liking it, it gave it some bouncing without more volume. Miriam was very good too, she was talking to my daughter about the haircut and giving her opinion on the length and the effect a shorter hair would have on her. I would give 3 1/2. I really didn't want to write a review, but I would like to share my experience for others awareness. This review is probably my most thought review. The first time I came here I believe I had Miriam. She is very nice and will get to know you. The first time I got my haircut, my hair was cut parted down the middle, although my hair is always parted to the side. Due to my hair being cut parted in the middle, when I parted my hair to its usual side, the cut looked pretty weird. I didn't end up liking it, but dealt with it. She curled my hair, it looked nice but she curled it pretty fast, with my hair still being a bit wet. Months later I gave this salon a second chance thinking maybe it was my fault for not making sure she cut my hair parted to the side. But, when I came in the first time, my hair was parted to the side, thinking if she knows it's parted to the side, maybe she should have it cut that way so it can look nice. I scheduled an appointment for 5:00. I scheduled an appointment because I had a very busy schedule that day, and needed things done the time I scheduled them. When I came in at 5, a walk in came before me. I believe appointments should come first and be priority, rather than walk ins. I waited 15 min, which isn't a great big deal, but when you're in a hurry it effects greatly. I had Miriam again, she put treatment in my hair while waiting which was nice of her. When I sat down to get my cut I explained to her what happened. As I was touching my hair, I realized either the conditioner or treatment wasn't fully washed off, as I could feel it in my hair still. I explained to her how I want my hair cut. With everything she's very quick, washing, cutting, blow drying and curling. but I would rather have someone take time on my hair for better results. I came home and after my hair was completely dry I sadly ended up not liking it very much again. I tried liking it. It's not a horrible cut, but its not hair I genuinely like. I want to go somewhere that will cut my hair very nicely, and will take their time making sure it's really nice. Haircuts here are only 19$, which is much cheaper than most places. But, I would rather pay expensively than cheaper, having them take their time on my hair, enjoy my experience, and love my end results. From my experience and from looking at other people's cuts as well as my own, it's not as professional as how other salons are. If you want professional and to love your results maybe try a different salon. Maybe that's why this salon is cheaper than most? read more

The lady that cut my hair did it without passion. Not even a smile. When I wanted my hair cut in a certain way she said it was going to look like a grandma and it was going to look ugly or emo. She was making my hair more thin without asking me as well. I don't recommend getting your hair cut here. read more

After moving from OC to Moreno Valley I was a bit skeptical about trying out a new place to do my hair color and cut because I don't just trust anyone with my hair. But after having a bad experience with my last hair salon in the OC I decided to go here and try it out because of the good ratings it had on yelp. It seemed to good to be true but I still went ahead and tried it out because my hair was so nasty and I just needed it fixed ASAP! Plus it is super close to where I live. Sabrina (One of the two ladies who work there) saved the day by fixing my horrible hair color and restoring my healthy hair back. (It was so badly bleached at my last salon visit). She is very honest about her work and that's what I love!! If your looking for a place to get your hair done wether it is getting it colored or cut, this is the place for you! Horrible! Horrible! Worst experience ever. I went in expecting an excellent service. I was referred by a friend whose hair always looks great. I went in expecting the same. But, I got a horrible results. My hair was beautiful virgin hair now it is damaged and fried. Miriam asked to see a picture of how I wanted my hair done. She did nothing but damage my hair. Came in today for just a trim and was told to come back in an hour. That didn't seem like a problem to me. Came back and noticed that no one was waiting ahead of me. Two stylists were in the back dying other clients' hair and the third stylist was wrapping up on blow drying her client's hair. So, I'm thinking I'm next. NOPE. I'm guessing it was the stylist's friend that came there after me and hopped right onto the chair. Maybe she had an appointment? Sure, if you made an appointment to JUST get your hair straightened and nothing else done. Aside from the hour wait, I still had to wait another maybe half hour to get noticed. The stylist I got was super cool, but she was in a bit of a hurry. Too hurried that my haircut didn't come out evened. One side is a bit shorter than the other and layers seemed too choppy. At least I wasn't charged a crazy amount on the trim, but $19 will only go so far. read more

I just moved to Moreno Valley a month ago from Walnut. Not being familiar with Moreno Valley I found Nu Image thru yelp. So I said I would give it a shot. I called and the girl on the phone told me hair cuts start at $17, that it all depends on the length of the hair. Anyways, I made an appt. for my 15 yr. old daughter. Her stylist was Sabrina. Sabrina washed, cut and blow dried her hair. She did an amazing job. I am very happy with the results. But, the only thing I did not care for was the hair that was all over the floor. I was waiting patiently with my other daughter and my almost 5 year old son and I had to keep on reminding him not to kneel or sit on the floor (he was playing with his toys) because there was so much hair all over the place. I understand that they ladies are cutting hair all day long. But it would be ca courtesy to sweep and keep the waiting area a bit more cleaner since there are customer's waiting. I sure don't want to drag other people's hair home, do you? Other than that I was very happy with Sabrina work :) read more
