The office was clean and front desk staff very friendly upon check-in. They did x-rays and let you know what was being done. We did have to wait (little longer than expected) before seeing the doctor. But the office staff get us informed not like we were forgotten. When Dr. Shack came in she greeted us with a big friendly smile:-) instantly I think I forgot how long we had been waiting. She explained everything in detail. No beating around the bush. Her knowledge of the work she does definitely shows. Tomorrow we are already coming back for a second visit to address a couple problem areas. My husband was very comfortable with her and how thorough she was with him. I was just there for support! We are quite pleased so far!

At the time, I still had some of my lower natural teeth and two implants placed by another dentist that were functioning well and looked fine. Instead of advising me to return to the original implant dentist, I was told they could fix my smile and make me look great. I trusted that. What I received instead was a bulky, unnatural-looking bridge that left me feeling humiliated and devastated. After paying around $22,000, I was left with dental work that not only damaged my confidence, but made daily life harder. Because of my autoimmune condition, chewing and swallowing were already difficult. After this treatment, food began getting trapped under the bridge whenever I ate, and I often have to use a water flosser immediately afterward. Something as simple as going out to eat now feels stressful instead of enjoyable. For that reason, I've tried many dentists before settling on Dr. James' (husband and wife team). The staff (hygienists, front-office scheduling) is very receptive to people's needs and they have remained consistent for 5+ years. Everyone is down-to-earth and makes you feel at home. If you're a big wimp, like me, they take great care in reducing the pain. More than other dentists I've experienced in Palm Beach County. I originally found them through my dental insurance plan, which they've always honored without claiming that someone isn't covered, or is different, than what insurance allows. This is a huge problem with some dentists I've used, who would look for reasons to overcharge. After being a patient for 5+ years now, I am confident in saying that I feel they are some of the best dentists in the area. One sidenote: they are a relatively small office and their schedule seems very booked-up. Despite that, they've always been great about calling me when there is a cancellation.
