Subpar My sister…read moreand I bought an extended facial as a Christmas gift for our mom, and as a former esthetician, I can confidently agree with my mom that this was a subpar experience--certainly not worth the $120 we paid. According to their website, the extended facial is supposed to include everything in the Signature Facial (hot towels, a facial steamer, and a relaxing massage using essential oils that covers the shoulders, hands, arms, and scalp), plus added healing masks, a sinus massage, and a foot massage with a hot towel treatment. However, the reality was far from what was promised. During the facial, the technician suggested my mom skip the foot massage and instead get extra time on the scalp massage, which she agreed to. What a mistake. The scalp massage was a total letdown. The technician spent maybe 5 minutes on the sides and top of my mom's scalp, completely ignoring the back. When my mom asked why no essential oils were used, the technician casually replied that they don't use oils on the scalp. The pressure was so light it barely qualified as a massage--more like a feather brushing across her head. When my mom asked about the pressure, the technician explained that they were "taught in school to save themselves" for career longevity. Really? That's not an acceptable excuse for delivering such a poor service--and certainly not something you should ever say to a client. The facial itself was equally disappointing. Not only did the relaxing massage portion of the facial feel rushed, it felt more like a light rub than a proper massage. The technician also failed to incorporate the facial steamer, which was promised in the Signature Facial description. After applying hot towels to my mom's face, the technician left the room for what felt like 10 minutes, instead of using that time to give a proper massage or incorporate the promised sinus massage. It was clear she wasn't putting in any real effort, doing the bare minimum, and making the entire experience feel like a waste of both time and money. In short, this experience was a huge disappointment. The service was far too costly for what was actually provided. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and we certainly won't be returning.

My wife surprised me by purchasing a massage for me here at 10 O'Clock Health and Wellness. I was slightly nervous because I recently had surgery a few weeks ago, to repair a broken bone from a fall. I wasn't sure if it would be a great idea to lay flat with my injury because I have been sleeping on my side ever since the accident. My appointment was with Cailen and I mentioned my concerns to her when I arrived. She was very friendly and welcoming. She explained that my wound would not be a huge obstacle in getting a massage. She politely explained that she would be able to support me laying flat, by providing support to that area of my body, with a folded towel or two. She reassured me that she could work around my injury. I was nervous and proceeded anyway. It ended up working out very well for me, thanks to Cailen's knowledge, professionalism, and comforting care. The massage I received was INCREDIBLE! The relaxing and hypnotic music gently playing in the background transported me to another time and place. The gentle, yet firm and physical massage I got was just what I needed! All of my problems, worries, anxieties, or any stress I was holding on to completely vanished and hasn't returned yet, thank goodness. I honestly feel like a different person after coming here. It's difficult to put into words how my experience on the table/bed was somehow transformative. I don't know how else to describe it. This place provided me with a healing experience I was not prepared for. The facility is very clean and serene. The feng shui of this joint is spectacular! Everything in the building is inspiring and works well together. The octopus motif is very peaceful and inviting. The colors used in the rooms for decoration go well together and are beautifully selected. The venue is set up perfectly for this type of service. It's quite impressive for a humble town in the U.S. I wish this place had a location in Los Angeles too. I would go as often as I could afford. The waiting area was actually a husband's waiting room, complete with a bar. Lol I met up with my friend there and we had a minute to chat before we were called back for our service. We were each seated at our own pedicure station and asked what we would like to drink. They do have complementary Mamosa's, but I am unable to drink orange juice, so I just got a glass of champagne. We sat with our feet soaking in catching up for about 5 to 10 minutes. I absolutely loved that part of the service as the places I typically go to immediately start working on your feet. This was great that our feet were able to soak and we were getting a chance to relax and get settled in. The entire experience was very relaxing and enjoyable. The young woman who was doing my pedicure took her time on painting my nails, and they still look great a week later. My friend and I have already agreed that we are definitely coming back again to get facials and pedicures.
