The new murals and hallway college banners are awesome. This year my daughter participated in an awesome SBAC parade! It has been a great year. I feel we should have pride for our community and school and not post negative comments. I'm sad to read that someone would say negative remarks about the school. I have not had the same experience. As a parent, it is important to know my child is cared for academically AND emotionally. The fact that classes have a "calm corner" speaks volumes about the schools support for the children. The staff and administrators are professional, approachable and supportive to families. I have the option to register my child to the school 2 blocks from my home but because I love this school I opt to drive miles to have my son attend KIPP Pueblo Unido.

I'd sit with him to work on some spelling/math workbooks before and he would give me a hard time, now that he has homework he actually asks me to help with homework or to do "mommy's homework". His teacher, Ms. Beltran, is easy to like, I met her twice and feel comfortable that my son is in her care.

Me and my sons mom were separated and the mother of my child was abusive to my son and somehow the office workers were always on the moms side. They would make it hard for me to get information from the nurses and permanent records when they would always give to mom easily. They treated me like a bad father and criminal, even when I showed up with a court order and warrant from CPS saying I had full custody they still questioned the authenticity of the paperwork and made a big deal when I tried to unenroll my child from LAUSD.
