The birdie goal at every Irvine course has been achieved. The course is beautiful, with a challenging layout. The fairways and greens are well-maintained. Located in Rancho Santa Margarita, it's a 22-minute drive without traffic. Overall, the course is very good . The blue tees are 6618 yards long, and the red tees are 4950 yards. The front nine is flat with many artificial landscaping and water hazards. The back nine features canyons, natural landscapes, and a significant "two-nine" layout. The front nine is more challenging. The back nine has many canyons and natural vegetation, including many old sycamores, oak trees, and giant cacti, creating a beautiful natural landscape. The only problem is that the secondary rough areas along the fairways are too large and dense. With the fall and winter leaves, finding the ball is very difficult. Several of my teammates' shots landed right there. I just couldn't find it. The course restaurant is pretty good though. Overall, the course quality is similar to Tustin, but closer to nature. Normal, nothing special.

Decently pretty course as well, with a few good water shots. Staff are nice, and pretty laid back. The meh: pace of play was brutal, to the point of being laughable at times. I believe they have golf clubs basically everyday of the week so 3:20 on a Tuesday took just under 5 hours. Literally every hole had a group of at least 4-5. Course is very close together considering it is an executive it's understandable to have errant shots; but pretty much every 2 holes we had a ball drop right near us....on a green. Overall: Marshall could be utilized better, did not see a beverage cart, but again it's an executive course I didn't expect one. Price is relatively cheap for the great course condition. Somewhat challenging for short game but still fun, I'm excited to come back.

The whole building is full of built-in character, so you'll need little to no decor. But if you DO need decor, Angela maintains a closet of leftover wedding decor that you can repurpose for your own celebrations at no additional cost. Our decor budget was close to $0 for this reason, yet we had so many beautiful tea lights, artificial flowers, signs and trinkets all available to us! And Angela...what more can we say about her. She just gets it. She has a calm demeanor and puts you at ease with quiet confidence. She knows when to let the couple be themselves, and then she also knows when to weigh in with great opinions that just magnify the couple's ideas to the next level. If you have an idea, Angela makes it happen! Our day had so many moving parts: a luau complete with whole pig, Vietnamese lion dancers and even a drone show! Angela acted like it was all a piece of cake! Our wedding day was PERFECT, and the guests said it was the best wedding ever. They were right -- it was. Very little parking and the back leads into an alley way. There was a lot of guests so we were told to park in the residential area which had sketchy surroundings when walking back towards the event space. When we entered the space, it felt like an open layout house. Fairly modern design. Useful space. Two restrooms for guests. There was a small connecting area with a fridge for storage. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. Needs to be replaced. The AC was very cold on a 67 degree day. Two stars docked for the limited parking. inconvenience and the odd location in a commercial/residential zoned area.
