Even returning to a red sunset and stopping off anywhere for a stroll along the coast(especially between Dun Laoghaire and Booterstown). Keep an eye out for the odd bit of poetry printed around the inside walls of your carriage, and more recently, the occasional massive billboard with prints from Rasher. "Hey....whereabouts are you going?" Says the driver. "Shankill" says I. Its plausible that I did not look like I was going to study politics and human rights today. To cut it long stories short it turns out the bus was only going as far as Belfield. The bus driver being a total pro refunded the cost of the journey back onto my leapcard (whilst I stood there in a total k.o stance not unseen in a Mortal Kombat video game) before furnishing me with details of the correct bus in 2 minutes and wished me a good day. Yes I was one of those dickheads that would have passengers who actually read the front of the bus tutting this morning, so I said I would leave a 5 star review - the bus I am on now is clean, it has wifi and plenty of seats. Perhaps the day will come where I am cruising in my Ford Mustang down the N11 but today is not that day and I am happy to use this service for the forseeable future!!

It was a very dirty bus inside and the windows. When we reached Cork and our bags were unloaded there was oil all over our bags, as well as many others. The oil smelled of gasoline and the fabric of our suitcases absorbed in the fabric and zipper fabric. Luckily we did not have any major damage to our clothes but it took some time cleaning it up (the last thing you want to deal with after a long day of travel). We would recommend this option if you're trying to stay within a lower budget. Otherwise the train or renting a car were much better options.

Pretty sad--but karaoke taxi made it not so sad. Last time it was singing Tom Jones on the way to the airport with my in-laws at 5am. Made a horribly early flight much better. The security staff ACTIVELY look for tourists who are unaware that the trams that run on rails in…read morethe streets require riders to tap their Leap card on a card reader at the tram stop before boarding the tram vs on the tram itself (unlike the busses and trains) and to tap again when they get off. Failure to do this may earn you a €45 fine or even €100. My wife and I asked two black clothed tram security workers if we were at the correct location for the destination we wanted. They said yes and asked us if we had Leap cards. We did and we showed them. Once on board the tram and underway, they scanned our cards and said we owed a €45 fine for not tapping in before we boarded. There's no lienency or grace. It seems the Luas system is designed to ensnare the unsuspecting and ignorant tourists to make up for the real scofflaws that don't pay for rides. Ireland and it's people were awesome except for the those that conspired to create and operate the Luas Leap card system and it's zero tolerance policy around tapping in and tapping out. The tram riding process isn't well documented in public. It might be online but I didn't procure my card so I can't comment on that. My advice, walk. It's better for all aspects of your health vs letting a little Luas infect you.

Taxi arrived late, got lost, did not know the way, had a small accident did not turn the taximeter OFF, so I arrived late to a wedding, and payed 55 euro instead of the 40 euro agreed. (previously I have checked on national taxi meter calculator, and it was priced at 40 up to 45 euro, depending on traffic....) Then I called the taxi manager, and he was even worst, no respect at all for the customer, saying that I am a liar, and taxi drive did nothing bad. Do not use this taxi compagy, they are many other taxi company much better and honest.

A problem arose where the nursing staff nor I could figure out how to disable the breaks on the wheel chair. Stephen saved the day. He went from his taxi into the hospital ward and managed to disable the breaks so we could take my granny home in Stephen's wheel chair equipped taxi. He's a legend and also has a great sense of humour. Would highly recommend this service to everyone.

Its a bus, what can i say? its got 4 wheels, a driver and lets passengers on and off from the…read morefront door. Certainly the transport in Dublin could be better especially i am sorry to say on the northside which does not have the benefit of the Luas and now will never seemingly have the metro but losing buses from the city just is not going to answer that problem and so few of the buses even go anywhere near my job anymore so i have no choice but to use my car. The 83 bus trip has become a bit of an around the world because recently they got rid of the number 19 bus and now the 83 has tried taking in its route too which means you are sitting on the bus while it goes up and down extra roads which were not previously on the route but at least they have free wifi on the buses so now you can spend time checking out what is going on in the rest of the world.
