I had a General Tso's platter, Mongolian beef, beef fried fried rice and shrimp and pork egg rolls. The platters and rice were both pretty good, but the egg rolls were the worst I've ever had! The cabbage filling was mushy and they really had no flavor at all. I didn't even finish them. The restaurant itself is tired looking and the people who took my order and gave me my food (to go) were not friendly AT ALL. I was told 20 minutes for food and it was more like 30 minutes and they were not busy at all, there was only one other customer. Just moved to the area and tried this place out tonight. I got their vegetable Mei fun, which was good, but lacked some flavor. My fiancé got the lo mein, which is always good. First time trying this place and so happy to say it was all delicious! We ordered veg. Lo mein , moo shoo chicken, veg. Fried rice and tomato pepper steak. First of all it's so hard to find tomato pepper steak at other Asian restaurants! So we were ecstatic they had it on the menu and it was delicious! I discovered this place at a friend's recommendation. I must say that for a place as sparsely populated as Windsor Twp, PA, they have 2 really good Chinese restaurants but this one is my current favorite. My go to items here are the chicken with cashew nuts and the egg drop soup. I can not recommend these items enough, they are the best I have found and I have eaten Chinese food from the island of Guam to Copenhagen, Denmark and quite a few places in between. My new favorite place for Chinese in the Dallastown/Red Lion area. If you have not tried this place you must and you will probably switch.

It's so utilitarian and improvised feeling, it almost lends it a cheesy kind of charm. The backlit menu board, plastered with dated food photography, lines the wall of the entrance way to the front counter. It's completely surrounded by signed polaroids of previous smiling diners. The dining room tables look like they were set up that morning for a church basement potluck dinner, but with a huge faux oriental landscape painting hanging on the otherwise bland wall. Drinks are by the can from a self-serve cold case. The plasticware/condiment station by the door is fully stocked with everything you need down to the box o' fortune cookies. If you didn't get enough duck or soy sauce to overwhelm your egg roll beyond recognition, it's your fault- not theirs. No complaining necessary. Sturdy forks too- not those ones that usualy bend up on a wonton. But the chow is chock-full of Chineseie goodness! In a place that looks like this, it could go either way, but this one lives up to its name sake. It's got all the traditional Chinese-American favorites (Orange chicken, General Tso's, Lo Mein, fried rice, etc.) but with the pungent, bolder than usual flavors associated with Szechuan style cooking. And portions! Wow. I got carryout and the containers were packed to the brink of critical mass. Good luck finishing one of the lunch specials in one sitting without do yourself an injury. Perhaps a tad higher than average price for Chinese carryout but you probably get a lot more. I recommend this place for a first date! Second time I placed an online order and they did not begin to make the food until I showed up over half an hour later. Meanwhile others were showing up and getting served their order right when they paid. I do not understand. Also the foul mouthed kids playing Minecraft were quiet rude mannered. I was skeptical when I walked into our favorite Chinese food restaurant in the Red Lion/Dallastown area and saw all new staff and wall menu. I'm guessing the restaurant is under new management. I was pleasantly surprised. We moved back to this area from Lancaster to be closer to family, and miss all the great restaurants on the other side of the river. We haven't had Chinese food this good for years. My wife had won ton soup and shrimp and broccoli. I had sesame chicken. The chicken was larger chunks and less batter, while the veggies were crisp and fresh. I hope they keep up this food quality, as we'll be back to try some other favorite dishes. If I could give this "resturaunt" zero stars, I definitely would. I typically don't write reviews let alone bad reviews, but we have been sitting here for 15 minutes past our pick up time and they have like 4 children running around the restaurant screaming curse words and being absolutely so obnoxious to the point where I don't even want my food anymore. They're some hard working people that run this place and I've been going there for years and never have they missed a beat in the quality factor. We've been getting Chinese take-out from this little strip mall place for many years now. The food has always been very good - not terribly spicy, but very good. And it's very reasonably priced for take-out Chinese food. Walking into the place is like walking into a time-warp. They have lined the wall from the door to the ordering counter with polaroid pictures of diners from years gone by. It's fun to look at the wall while waiting to see if you can find anyone (did find Mr. Bull, a RLAHS teacher now, back when he was probably in high school himself). The menu boards are all faded and yellowed, the dining area looks pretty dark and uninviting. May not be the best place to go out for dinner, but if you want some decent Chinese take-out food, that you can bring home & serve up, it works very well. My girlfriend and I recently dined on Number One Szechuan. Both dishes had good flavor, but the meat quality was disgusting. Most of the "meat" was actually pieces of fat. I would imagine that the veggie dishes would be pretty good. read more

SINCE my last review of number 1 szechaun....I have breaking news....breaking news....breaking news.....update: update:....I went into this restaurant Friday...and the regular family that works there was switched out with a new wu tang clan....I was like whaaaattttttttt...no O.D.B....but I had just smoked...so of course I still ordered. Probably the best Chinese take-out in York/Red Lion. We've been going here for 10+ years and the same people are always working. Not the fanciest location for dine-in, but consistently good take-out. The General Tso's could be a little spicier but it's tasty. read more

The food here is great. The sweet and sour chicken is amazing, the white rice is also pretty good. Pork Eggrolls are really great, the food overall is probably the best Chinese food in York County. Service is pretty good as well, food can be a little slow out of the kitchen but that's not terrible given the food quality and freshness. I recommend this restaurant highly. read more

This place use to be alot better years ago. Went there tonight (1-3-2013). What I usually got cost me $21 and some odd change. That was a month ago. Now it's almost $30. The food is even getting worse. The crab rangoon was soaked with grease and very bland.
