went there for a pre safety on my car they told me I needed sway bar links and they were brand new a week before the safety. I was also told I would need a new gas tank due to smell of gas ($2200) part from dealer. turns out it was a bad purge valve $20 part. don't waste your time here they will rip you off big time read more

When a customer respectfully expresses a reasonable complaint, Hwy 7 Auto front desk would do well to reply apologetically letting the customer know you will look into it. A reply something like, "I'm sorry you had this experience with Hwy 7 Auto and we will look into it to see if there is anything we can do better". With this response, I'd still be a customer dispite a mistake that I didn't discover until 4 months after the servicing I received at Hwy 7 Auto. I discovered the mistake when I was changing to my winter tires. I was trying to give Hwy 7 a heads up on the mistake I found with the full intentions of having them do more work the very same day. I will not delve into the pettiness that ensued but I will say it was the sarcastic comment made that helped me decide not to return to Hwy 7 Auto. Signed: Saddened & disappointed. read more

WARNING IF YOUR EXPECTING BASIC HUMAN DECENCY LOOK ELSEWHERE. Both guy at the front desk and the owner were immensely disrespectful to me and my mother when we went to pick up the vehicle. When we inquired about entirely reasonable things such as payment plans and timeframes which other repair shops in the area do often they were condescending and shot it down. The price was also significantly higher than any other place in the area we have been too in the past. With the ending bill being higher than what had been discussed not to mention work had already begun before we had agreed to it. They also almost tried to hold our vehicle hostage until payment but let us leave with a cheeky threat of a toe truck coming to take it from us in a half hour if we didn't pay, we only came as a last resort so save yourself. I cant believe people like this can live with jibbing their neighbours. read more

***** BEWARE ****** I went to get my tires changed at #7 auto in Havelock. Two out of three times that I've been there to have this done, they have damaged my bumper. This last time, April 3, 2024, I made a point of telling them to be careful when I took my car in. They were not. They told me they would order paint and repair it. I called twice to ask if the paint was in and the guy was very flippant. The last time I called April 24, 2024, he told me I should go through my insurance. My guess is he had no intention of repairing my bumper and probably never ordered the paint. My advice is take a video of your car if you plan on dealing with them, better still go somewhere else! P.S I was able to get the paint needed that afternoon from Drummond Motors in Campbellford. read more

I took my truck in late November 2023 for failed brakes. They diagnosed a brake line leak and repaired it and also tried to remove the rear wheels ut said they could not. They did not look at the front brakes or tell me I had the option of a more thorough inspection for an additional fee. Brakes seemed fine for several months until they failed again in early June 2024. This time they actually did look at the front brakes and diagnosed that i needed new pads, routers, and calipers, etc -- a full front brake job. I called to discuss this and explained that had my front brakes been looked at in November perhaps only the pads would need replacing and I would be saved a full front brake job. The owner denied all this and claimed I would have needed the full brake job regardless. I pointed out that we do not know this because they hadn't looked at the front brakes in November and they have no idea what the condition of the front brake were. I'd expected them to do a thorough job the first time but they didn't. I'm on a fixed income and their failure to do a complete brake inspection in November may have cost me several hundred dollars more. I tried to explain this several times but the owner became more and more defensive and denied failing to do a proper job the first time. He blamed the age of the truck, the time between servicing, and "who knows what", etc but would not accept that they should have at least have given me the option of paying for a complete brake inspection the first time. They found an obvious problem in November and looked no further. I asked for a partial refund and the owner said that "is not going to happen". I replied that he had lost my business and would get a poor review. He said that was my choice and then hung up on me. The owner of this garage does not take customer complaints seriously and gets defensive and angry when questioned. This was a very costly and disappointing experience. I'd advise people not to use this garage unless they know exactly what the problem is and to know exactly what to request in terms of service. Up until know the service from them has been very good and I do not understand their attitude. read more

These are the people who balanced my tires and when I took it back because the tires were making a sound as they were turning told me"you are too fat and should have been in the car when it was getting balanced". So not only did they do a crappy job but also insulted their customer. The worst customer service I have ever seen. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. read more

I'm the second owner of a 1978 Oldsmobile Regency 98 that I had this company towed to their yard just over a month and a half ago I think to keep it safe as the motor needed work and I had to go out west this company towed my car to this yard and gave it away to a complete stranger two days later and didn't call me for nothing or this complete stranger who's not a stranger to these people at all tried to steal it with the keys that they were provided by this company because there was no other set of keys except for the towing companies knowing where they were and the son of a b**** drove it across the road and it set behind the township building while kids party in it and destroyed it I'd say that this is the most crooked as f****** tow company going I'd go with the Toronto company before I call these folks you might not ever see your car again let alone they don't call or communicate with you at all even though I'm from the f****** area my parents I think it's time for some f****** epic s*** like where's my f****** car and where's all the f****** s*** in the trunk that was worth $50,000 not including the car appraised at 14 k read more
