This place is trash. Under staffed. Very unprofessional in their approach to parents. Couldn't get my kid out fast enough

The teachers here are wonderful. Admin was always very responsive. If we didn't move away, we would have absolutely stayed here. The tuition price is pretty decent too compared to others in the area. Please check this place out if you're in need of a daycare - it did not disappoint! PS. My daughter would have probably still been struggling with her potty training if it wasn't for this place haha

With both of our little ones having experienced multiple classrooms--from Infants and Crawlers to Younger and Older Toddlers--we've had the pleasure of seeing firsthand the consistency and dedication of the entire staff. Every teacher we've encountered has been warm, nurturing, and genuinely invested in making each day fun, safe, and enriching for the kids. One of our favorite features is the splash pad during the summer, which is such a thoughtful and fun way to help the children beat the heat. The new, clean building is another standout--each classroom has its own door leading directly to a fenced-in outdoor playground, making outdoor play both easy and secure. We also really appreciate the rubberized matting on the playground, which adds an extra layer of safety and comfort for active little explorers. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this community and highly recommend The Stork's Nest to any family looking for a loving, well-designed, and engaging early childhood environment. The friendly staff are an incredible perk! You can drop your kids off confidently knowing they are going to be loved and cared for like they are the teacher's own kids.

We have taken our children out of Early Learning Center, and I encourage you to do so too. This…read moreplace is absolutely terrible. We gave them a chance for a year, but day after day things seemed to get worse. They are severely understaffed which is immediately noticeable. The layout of the building is not designed for a daycare and there is a lot of confusion as to which room the kids of each age group belong in. The existing staff is just trying to make it through the day. They have little to no curriculum, and what structure they do have is impossible for the staff to follow, due to the lack of trained personnel. At times when I picked up my kids I would count 15-20 kids (ages 3-5) with one staff member. My daughter WAS in the process of being potty trained but ended up regressing due to the inability of the staff to maintain a bathroom schedule. Nearly every day I picked her up with a messy (and disgustingly full) diaper. I witnessed children fighting while staff sat inattentive on cellphones daily. Toys and play equipment are in poor repair and are borderline dangerous. The building is in horrible condition and definitely NOT up to code, with broken metal railings and exposed sharp edges. After a year of kindergarten our son was reading and writing full sentences. Now after a summer of their program, which is supposed to promote a learning environment, he is entering first grade and behind in his studies. Their summer program was pretty much sitting on iPads watching videos all day. The staff is only working with what they have, the director/owner is 100% at fault and should be jailed for the lies told and mismanagement of this facility. My heart goes out to the struggling staff and these poor children.

This happened at Stork's Nest Child Academy in Smithfield. My daughter absolutely loved her teachers Miss Victoria and Miss Jessica! She loved going to school and could not wait to see them and her friends. They did wonderful activities and my daughter never wanted to go home or leave early. She learned so much. Miss Celina the director is very knowledgeable and always got back to me right away. Amazing program!

Ms. Lori and Ms. Michele took such good care of my son, I truly feel I could not repay them for piece of mind they gave me. After moving out of state, and now experiencing other daycare, I truly can appreciate how wonderful of a place storks Nest is! The teachers continually work each day in the same classroom so that the children see the same faces each day. They can tell you exactly how your child's day went from start to finish because they pay such great attention to the children in their class. My son came home with new words, songs and signs language daily (started daycare at 7 months, left storks nest at 19 months). Nothing in our new state has even compared to the care we got at Storks Nests!
