We visited on Friday to do recognizance and make a preliminary stack of possibles as we're only in town for a few days. We had spent two days demolishing the mangled sad mess left by the previous owners and were ready to get to work. On Saturday morning we took our daughter to review our choices, and she threw us a few curve balls, but the staff was prepared. We worked with Jennifer and Richie in trees and shrubs who allowed us to quickly eliminate things that would not work in their very shaded yard. Miriam in perennials was particularly helpful in that my daughter has some very specific likes and dislikes (Those ALL look like WEEDS to me says she!!) Miriam was patient and kind in helping sort through all of the available Hostas to color coordinate several varieties. Advice on mulch and watering were administered at check out and our precious green matter was delivered at the agreed upon time a few hours later. We dug, we sorted rock, we cut old roots that we only found when we dug and after about 6 hours it was done and we couldn't be more pleased. You were all very helpful and provided exactly the service in the compressed timeframe that was required. But when snow removal for a few inches that came overnight doesn't even begin until late in the afternoon the next day, that's a problem. Especially when there's no communication. I just worry that in their absence, somebody will slip and hurt themselves. And then it's the association's problem for not getting the snow cleared. With that, there is no snow right now. It's been a couple weeks since they've been here. For some reason, we have to keep sending asks for where they are. We get speedy responses, but it's getting to be a lot of work to be their customer.
