She's an old fashioned family doctor that as a medical professional I find completely competent. There's APA there or an NP by the name of Michaela who is just as sharp. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She caught an issue on my high blood pressure meds that no one in the last 15 years has caught and by simply adding something to my meds it dramatically helped improve my blood pressure. I've read comments about not returning phone calls. She's called me twice already on some lab work. The first time she called Without me asking her to call she reviewed my blood work left me a voicemail. There was a issue with my fasting insulin which got me a little nervous I called back within 48 hours she rang me back and got me on the phone personally to address it. I asked her to create some new lab forms so I could have it tested again and she did it without question. I don't know what people expect from a doctor in today's world. There's the real world and there's the hypothetical world In the hypothetical world the Doctor will spend an hour and a half with you and find that every single issue that is of concern but in the real world to be able to survive financially a doctor cannot spend huge amounts of time with each patient and still stay in practice peter I ran a medical practice I could not spend any more than 10 or 15 minutes with each patient or I'd be out of business. Anyway this review is not about me it's about her Dr O'connor and her very excellent nurse practitioner Michaela. I have nothing but good experiences to say and I've been there 4 months now on three separate occasions. My refills are easy to do there's been no argument about running prescriptions for me I would give it a 10 out of 10. I'll add one other point that you might want to take into consideration when looking at these negative reviews. A doctor that has a six week to 8 week waiting list is a popular doctor, and he or she is a popular doctor for a reason. Think about that.

This doctor may be competent but the practice is a complete mess. She lets an x-ray tech run the place because that person will be rude, confrontational and dismissive. So much for patient care. There are serious issues with professionalism, patient communication and follow up. There is no patient portal; phone calls are literally never returned; there is constant staff turnover and beware if you ever have to deal with the so-called medical director who is named multiple times in the reviews as in need of replacement. I second that. The doctor will not respond to calls or walk-in appointments. Even if your insurance covers it, they will not hold tele-health appointments until you put in your credit card number. What if you have no credit card or donʻt want the world to have your cc number when it isnʻt used? "Itʻs our vendor, we have no control over it." Change your vendor. This is health care, not profit care. The Physicians Assistant will not consult on the telephone. So either find a way to get to the office no matter how sick you are, or forget about it. When I did put in my credit card for the tele-health, the PA prescribed a medicine without noting that it was off the formulary. The co-pay cost me $430. The place is dark, dingy, completely unwelcoming and looks unsanitary. There is no written material to explain to new patients how to navigate the crazy way the practice operates. Staff are polite but depressed; check out Glass Ceiling to see what the staff really think about working there; it is not good. Find another doctor. This place is a nightmare.

She truly tries to get to the root cause of health issues while also focusing on prevention. I feel like we scored with finding her. Truly a gem among a sea of disappointing doctors. And, I have read the other reviews about her staff. I have found them to be really helpful and kind. Take the time to talk to them and you will find that too. They are wonderful women.

I've been coming to dr majer for probably about 15 years…read more.. My mother and sisters are both patients as well and we could not be happier with her. We have pretty low maintenance bills of health so really only see her once a year for a physical called a Well Woman's check but each time it is as pleasant as can be. My most recent visit was a Pap & WW check and of course those are not the most thrilling - and come with their own slight anxiety - but Dr Majer and her staff made me feel very at ease the entire time. I had a 9am apt on a Friday and I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The front desk tech took my name, insurance and pre-liminary measurements - she was very kind and friendly. Then after changing in an exam room decorated with all her USC accomplishments, Doc Majer came in and we set about our apt. She is very kind hearted and soft when asking questions and took much detail on my chart about family health developments and activity levels. This lead to talking about running with my dogs and then she made herself even more relatable by talking about her labradoodle and all the fun they've had... all while performing my WW check which was great actually as there was no awkwardness as one might expect with the examination of her lady bits. lol I trust her so much I asked for a referral doc for my husband... she was kind enough to give me two and said she'd get the results to me via email in the patient portal - the office is very tech savvy as they confirm appts with an automated system, keep computer records of wellness and offer a patient portal to give you access anywhere any time. Be aware that she is great so she is ALWAYS very busy... but that really is a testament to her greatness! I usually try to visit in January as it seems to be much more relaxed than the end of the year crunch between October-December. That is definitely their busiest time as people try to squeeze in their yearly insurance visits so make your appointments accordingly and hold them! I had procrastinated on rescheduling my WW check up all year and called early Dec for an appointment - the earliest available was today - 3 weeks later. She's great. Call now and see her next month! PS The parking structure is $1/30 mins but the general uncovered parking is free (the office does not validate). The office is on the 5th floor at the end of the hallway the right of the elevator upon exit.

The receptionist answered and asked a few questions in a very short manner and then put me on hold. After 10 mins on hold the line hung up. 3rd call: The line rang for a while and an automated Verizon message came on that the number was disconnected. 4th call: 1/9/18 The receptionist answered again and took the same information. Upon asking if they had appointments after 5pm (since I saw in a review below that there was an appointment scheduled after 6) she said no. I replied I would not need to make an appointment and I heard her mumble under her breath " ...ugh Omg..." and hung up. I felt that this was very unprofessional especially since I did not show any annoyance from the previous calls and I had only taken about 3 minutes of her time.

However, my PCP was 20 minutes late. Traffic, I guess. I actually heard her come in so she wasn't just sitting in the office somewhere. I like this office for convenience but if I'm expected to be early, I at least expect the doctor to be on time, especially if they are only spending 10 minutes with me. I was there for my annual physical exam and was told to undress even though I wasn't there for a well woman exam. I do a well woman with my OB/Gyn. Well, it would have been nice to know I didn't need to undress completely. Needless to say, I was examined and then I was given a referral to a specialist when my request for additional testing was denied. The specialist would need to order the additional tests, according to my doctor. I left with my lab order for bloodwork a little miffed that I had to make another appointment but such is the state of the healthcare system these days.

They either have a poor work ethic or are mentally incompetent and can't do the simplest of tasks. All we needed is for a referral to be faxed, they can't do anything right; literally, every step of the way, there is an issue. Plus, they lie or just disconnect the call. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this office; it's not worth it, there are other options out there. Unfortunately, we as a family will no longer be going to Dr Zamani, and will be switching.
