Have been going here for years. They have a great selection of plants. Most recently I requested a…read morespecific plant and asked if they could get it. It is a bit unusual, and wanted a larger size one, so I wasn't sure if they would be able to get what I wanted. Just 2 weeks later they called and said it was in and ready for pick up. The plants are exactly what I wanted. A few things to note: 1. They don't take plant orders, but they do take requests. I think this is because there is no guarantee they can get it. 2. You have to pay over the phone if you want them to hold on to for you. I couldn't pick it up for about 5 days so I paid over the phone and they held on to it for me. 3. They are a bit pricey, in general, their prices are a bit higher than other nurseries, but the quality is also very high. I'll definitely keep going here for my specialty plant needs.

Fifty dollars for a small perennial is exorbitant especially close to the end of the growing season . Simply too expensive. Broadway gardens in South Portland is more reasonable with prices clearly displayed. Case in point: for the same selection and number of perennials total was $280 at Estabrooks versus $124 at Broadway. A huge difference in pricing.

It was huge had 2 big white roses , lilies and was so big that we had to make a new bouquet that the bride could carry for the simple wedding from OTHER flowers we had purchased elsewhere to decorate the house. The HUGE bouquet was used as a floor decoration. A small hair barrette was also ordered- it was specifically to be tiny with no baby's breath but just two red rose BUDS. It was white and it was not roses at all and was large. A friend remade this with , again, flowers we had purchased for other use elsewhere. The groom's boutonniere , which was to be one small red rosebud, was a huge white rose. One wonders if there was some agenda here or simply poor service. These were all carefully ordered. The blossoms used were all reasonably fresh but this caused us to need to call a friend in at the last minute to fix the flowers.

I searched desperately and when I called Shelley's Flowers and gifts, I was greeted with a very calming and reassuring voice saying that she would do everything I had requested! I was updated throughout the process and it warmed my heart to know that my dear friend was given exactly what I knew she wanted! When I called my friend to see if she liked everything, she said that she had already been enjoying a glass of wine and that the flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Thank you SO very much for taking care of my dear friend and doing such an exceptional job of it! I wish I could give you 10 stars!!!

The scuttle is still nicely warm after I dry it to put away for tomorrow's shave. I highly recommend getting one to improve your shave.

This morning, after nearly ten years of solid, loyal work from my beloved little clay scuttle, I looked down at it as I lathered up and decided I needed to both show my gratitude for this fine work and to let others know what Dirty Bird can offer. If you are a wet shaver and you like to use creams and then whip them with a badger brush to a perfect consistency lather, you need the perfect scuttle to achieve the right size, surface, and thermal transfer properties. You need a piece that is crafted as thoughtfully as it is artfully. You need a piece as beautiful with the rest of your shaving kit as it is well-engineered to the purpose. You need a dirty bird scuttle. Because as the users at B&B well know, no other shop big or small has nailed it like Julie has. The walls are the right thickness and material to warm the cream and hold the temperature for the duration of your shave. The available color combinations are drawn from thoughtful palettes and are an attractive match for most bathroom decor. It has a nice heft and weight to it so the water doesn't knock it around when filling and it stays put when you dip into it. The handle is contoured so it's ergonomic and it doesn't get too hot. And of course the key feature - the contours and texture that lathers the bottom of the bowl - work exactly as designed (though they have since been updated to an even more effective waffle pattern since I bought my spiral model, both are good). In short, you won't find a more attractive or functional shaving scuttle for creams - anywhere, at any price. And it will last you a lifetime, they're durable and I've moved with mine a half dozen times without so much as a chip. And even with this, the price is quite reasonable, Julie makes and ships them out in a jiffy (beating promised times), and she's a joy to talk to, to boot. Nothing not to like here. I suspect the other pottery is also good. If you are looking for the perfect gift for your wetshaver, though, you're done.
