I live only a few blocks away and genuinely wanted to support this local business, but I can't anymore. On my last three visits, the owner has made comments about my body and size. Today I finally called him out in the store because enough is enough. It's inappropriate, unwelcome, and has made me feel uncomfortable every time I've walked through the door. I'm relieved I didn't buy my Christmas tree here, no one should be made to feel that way. I'll happily drive farther for a place that treats customers with basic respect. read more

For years I've driven by Wallingford Farm in Kennebunk. Today I finally decided to stop at the farm to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a store that sells a variety of item including fresh baked goods which included, a large selection of pies, cookies,pastries and more. Giftwares produced locally and more. I purchased a Strawberry Rhubarb pie that was simply one of the best I've ever had. The pastry light and flaky, the Strawberry Rhubarb filling well balanced between the sweetness of the Strawberry and the tartness of the Rhubarb. Such a cute store filled with all sorts of things for locals and tourists alike. Inside the store feels like a cross between a hardware / gardening store and a gift shop. Something for everyone! Kiddo of course wanted to play with everything from the bucket of dry sand dollars and starfish to the kitschy bird feeders. (Ava then the past control products). The live plant selection is great too although as we don't have a home here, we weren't really looking for plants but they were beautiful. We stopped in browsing about, as one does when on vacation, and I was instantly entranced by their pies sitting out. They had one cut up for samples and it was amazing so on the strength of the sample (apple pie) we grabbed another (blueberry pie) on spec for later that evening. The pie was the best blueberry pie we've had this season. Who I assume was the owner told us that they're made by a local family and then sold in the store. They sell the pies ready-to-eat (baked) as well as ready-to-bake (refrigerated) in case you want to bake it at home. I'll be back for more pie. Bet on it. read more

Wallingford Farm is simply delightful! The owners are friendly and helpful. The space is beautiful with a lovely selection of jams, pickles, fresh pies, fresh cookies, fresh loaves, dried flowers, etc, etc. I wanted to purchase one of everything! read more

Charles, it's time to hang up your hat. We've visited several times , trying our best to buy local, but we cannot tolerate another visit. With women customers especially, the forced conversation, the asking of personal questions, the inappropriate jokes is NOT "friendly" behavior, it's awkward & intrusive. It is not your customers obligation to entertain an oblivious old man. We essentially get accosted with blabber every time we're in your store. We just can't do it anymore. We'll be going elsewhere as there are numerous shops in the area that carry exactly what you carry without the harassment. As for all other personnel there you're fantastic and deserve a healthier environment. read more

True statement! - "Wallingford Farm, where traditional New England Christmas begins!" Awesome selection of greens, wreaths, trees, memorial pieces, kissing balls, boxwood centerpieces, pies, cookies and quick breads! Wonderful atmosphere and most anything to decorate for your holiday home. Worth a stop; and free fresh baked (small) cookie for the kids. We got a tree and are very happy - the guys in the tree yard were so nice and attentive to our needs - it's our first Christmas in Maine and it began at Wallingford Farm. Patricia and Gordon were so much fun to watch as they made bows and designed/decorated wreaths; you can order custom as well. Will not patronize again. Spent more than $150.00 on Christmas tree and decorative boxwood. Had to come back a second time when the owner would not load the tree on to top of SUV because his helpers were gone. Came back to pick up the tree and had a small handful of cutting greens. Charles , the owner, stopped me and said they were 50 cents a pound. ( I had no more than a pound) I explained how much we'd spent, and reminded him that we had to drive all the way back ( about twenty miles round trip) He repeated "50cents a pound. " It's his perogative to do business that way and mine to never return. I suggest you take your business elsewhere. On our initial visit he spent time insulting another customer who he said couldn't make up his mind. Definition of crotchety old man. ( and I'm being kind) read more

Elizabeth and Charles were exceptionally kind and helpful to my wife Jamie and me. They went above and beyond excellent service. We felt we were taken care of by caring family. The raspberry cookies baked by Elizabeth's daughter are highly recommended! Amish well constructed yellow finch bird house, home made apple pie, WOW, and several other items we purchased are very high quality. Great spot to get your xmas tree, wreath, kissing ball and anything you need for the holidays. They hosted the Lucky Pup Rescue Adopt-A-Tree Festival and the staff was fabulous! The gift shop is cute & has homemade goodies and a nice, warm wood stove that adds to the ambiance. Already looking forward to checking it out this summer! read more
