A second marriage for both us, we engaged Laura, prior to our wedding not due to any acute crisis but to become more mindful of our own histories and how these might impact the relationship. One of the many insights gained working with Laura over the years is that each partner is responsible for 100% of their 50% of the relationship (LOVE that!!). We were also familiar with the book, Getting the Love Your Want by Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt, best known for co-creating Imago Relationship Therapy. Laura is a certified practitioner of Imago, blending it with her unique style of facilitation. Imago offers many relationship building blocks, such as mirroring and sharing appreciations that fundamentally changed how we communicate. In many ways, Laura is like a relationship coach, holding us accountable for our respective 100% that we each bring to the relationship. Our marriage continues to thrive and benefit from our time and investment with Laura!

She creates a safe space in which we can share our most challenging feelings, anxieties, hopes and joys. She engages with curiosity, humor and empathy. I trust her and value her insight and support enormously. I am very grateful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone seeking to explore couples counseling or premarital therapy with the goal of building a stronger, more satisfying and loving union.

HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE!…read more From the owner to the so called manager of Recruitment. Never experienced anything so unprofessional before in my life (now I have seen it all). The owner called me and ended our conversation by saying they are calling me and never called back to end our session properly. Appointments were made that were never kept and even emails received confirming information that was never followed up on (what the heck). I was okay not building a permanent relationship there, I guess the owner didn't know that. I was doing my best to remain professional about it. Consulting was all I was willing to do. The way things start gives you a good idea of how it goes. RUN FAST!

The person they call their "psychiatrist" on the other hand is awful (Dr. Wancier). The first time I met him, he made an obscene amount of comments about my weight. "This isn't good for your self image" "You need to stop eating chocolates and tarts" "Your medications will never work if you are this heavy" And so many more comments... I explained to him with tears rolling down my face that I am trying...and that my weight is something I have struggled with all my life. He continued to dig but I thought he got the point that this was no longer something I wished to discuss. I came back for 2 more appointments and the last time was the final straw. He just wouldn't stop talking about my weight! I was beyond upset, especially after telling him I had lost 25 pounds. He told me "I'm glad I said something to you before or you wouldn't have lost that weight" I told him he wasn't my primary care provider and that I was here for my mental health. He still didn't understand as I was in tears yet again. I will not be back to him and I suggest if you are overweight, you don't see him either.
