At first I thought Nuvision was the best thing since Apple Pie. Then I got a mortgage with them its been downhill since then. They made me pay mortgage insurance to get the loan that has to be paid for a extended amount of time although I have never been late on a single payment in 4 yrs! In those 4 years my mortgage has gone up just short of $100.00 each year. I am paying $388.00 more a month from my original payment. On a fixed loan! They blame it on my insurance and taxes. It is totally ridiculous! I just want to get out and refi. with someone else but the interest rates are ridiculous these days also. I could swear there is some shady things going with this credit union. I used to bank with Wells Fargo and we know what happened there! On my mobile app I can see all the activity with my other accounts with them, my savings, my subsavings, my credit card and my checking account but when I click on my mortgage it says no transactions available! What a Joke! They have all this AI options when you call now but can't let you see your mortgage transactions!!!!!! I swear there are some shady things going on with this credit union! Opened a CD - deposited $2,500 that was immediately taken from my account - tried to finish application but then suddenly they required I open two more accounts. What? Nope. I immediately emailed them - they said I had to call them to get my money back. Called them - they have no record of me. The money is out of my account. They have no record of my name, address, social, phone, email nothing. Said the receipt number they gave me and the SUB number showed nothing. Really? Cuz I have a receipt that says otherwise. We have been scammed twice by what we believe are the employees. I am trying to get the manager involved but not having luck. It's a long drive for me but I have to do this The customer service department ask for my social security number and my drivers license number and my date of birth and my user id for my online banking and my beneficiaries. Horrible service. The chat function does not work. was on hold for a very long time. No clear way to reach customer service. I had to go under "cards" to see an 800 number. And i don't even have a card for the account. I was just clicking on every tab out of desperation. The website is bare bones with very little information on how to get a hold of anyone. The nearest branch to me is 300 miles away. I did not voluntary join this horrible bank. My former credit union dissolved and they took over. Do better. Make your website more functional and transparent so customers can reach you easily or find help on the website. I am just about ready to move my money out and close the account. Several weeks ago I tried to open a CD at Nuvision but it didn't go through. I called and was told I needed to unfreeze my credit reports which I did. I tried again and still no luck. I called again and was told my account was under review and would hear back within 24 hours. After 2 days I called back and was told I would hear back in a few hours. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and when Nuvision, originally Denali bank, moved to their new location they installed virtual tellers on an atm machine and there are no public rest rooms. When i asked to speak to a real person, the lady nearly rolled her eyes at me (months ago) and the teller seemed annoyed. I tired the atm and you have to speak loudly about private account info cause they cant hear well, cause its a machine. Its so awkward and just, why? Idk if these tellers are in Alaska, are the jobs once offered to locals being outsourced? Why is a bank, a place in the literally money business take away a public bathroom? My kids needed to use the bathroom and it felt like a dystopia. I like humans, sort of, definitely more then machines with a human on a tv screen outta the 90s who asks me to count my money to make sure the machine didnt mess up. Please, just bring back humans, get a friggin bathroom, and create local jobs, dont take away from them. (The background of the teller is still in a bank, so assume there is no added benefit to the employee like being able to work from home.) We are loyal as the day is long but have finally hit our limit on poor service from Nuvision Credit Union. The last words with the branch in Lake Forest/ Laguna were we probably would be happier at a different credit union. Fair enough One of the ongoing frustrations was that unlike every other banks/ credit union they did not follow the process that at the end of the day credits would go in first then debits. We never did understand how their process worked but they seemed to love charging the $30 per item for overdraft protection Without getting boring I will end with , if you like frustration and irritation, Nuvision is the place for you. read more

I got a mortgage through them, and they broke the contract by writing it for the wrong amount. They then rejected my payments, didn't send me back the money for almost 2 months, and tanked my credit score. They refuse to fix my credit, or "find" the missing payments. They sent one check back, but told me not to cash it, re-applied the payment, but reported me late to the credit unions. They refuse to fix it when I call (they have been "looking into it" for almost 3 months now, and won't return my lawyers calls (yes I hired lawyers). I can't refinance the house for a lower rate because my credit score is now too low. I can't buy a new car because my credit score is too low. Allan Le, my mortgage broker, was trying to fix this but it seems he has failed. His manager says he will get back to you, but never does. I would avoid them if at all possible. read more

I've had a savings account with NuVision for over 10 years. They used to be McDonnell Douglas Federal Credit Union back then. They are a small community credit union with a few locations located in Orange County and strangely Mesa, AZ. I opened a free checking account with them recently because they are offering $150 to try out their checking services. Only new checking account customers may take advantage of this offer. The first $50 is for opening the account, the second $50 is for setting up e-statements, and the third $50 is for setting up direct deposit or using your debit card at least 5X a month. You must have an active account for 90 days in order to collect all $150. That's doable. Even better is if you refer new customers to NuVision, you will also get $50 per referral. That's some extra $$$ to be made. The membership fee to join is $5 and if you leave them, they will give you your $5 back. As for ATMs, you are allowed to use any ATMs in the CU network and that includes the ATMs at 7-Elevens.
