I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was truly disappointing. We brought our anxious pup in with the goal of scheduling a sedation grooming appointment -- something we were told required an initial vet visit to establish care first. Fair enough. We followed through, paid several hundred dollars for his vet exam and other recommended services, and assumed we were on the right track. Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect. read more

I do not recommend the grooming. I brought my dog here who has issues with his anal glands and has to have them done by the vet, so anytime I take him to a groomer I am very clear that they cannot do any expression. Well they completely ignored me and did it anyway. I then spent the following 3 days, trying to soothe and comfort my dog who was having full panic attacks and licking himself raw. The vet confirmed his glands were expressed. To me this is unacceptable and I did contact them to file a complaint. I do not recommend any place who does not take your animals needs seriously. read more

We went to the location at 12447 South Crossing Dr in Riverton. I can't get this location to pull up . This place was so compassionate & caring ! I highly recommend them . We were calling around for a place to help put our old sick dog to sleep as he was really struggling . We called several places even our own vet but no one would get us in . We called them & they said to bring him in within the hour. We had never been to this vet before . We were very upset as we could tell our dog was miserable . They were so kind . They brought us to a room with a couch & we were able to stay with him other than when they took him to the back to put an IV port in where they would deliver the medicine to him. They explained everything that would happen & let us stay & mourn him as long as we needed in the room . They were very gentle & kind . A few weeks later they sent me the sweetest sympathy card . It had kind words from all the staff & his nose & paw prints . They definitely made a very stressful, sad time more bearable. read more

Mr. Prince (the mini Australian Shepherd) has had bad breath for a bit, and we noticed his teeth showing plaque, so I made an appointment for him to get his teeth cleaned today. This afternoon, I got a phone call from the dental assistant informing me Prince was sedated and needs 3 of his back teeth pulled and they were wanting me to consent. Now, Prince eats hard dog food. He seldom gets special treats from the table and never sweets. He has and uses all the chew toys you can imagine, so that just didn't seem right, ESPECIALLY since he's only 3 1/2 years old. So I asked if they would mind emailing me a copy of the X-rays they took so I could just see what the issue was before giving the go ahead. The assistant confirmed my email address and I said I would watch my inbox. Not even 2 minutes later Joshua, my spouse, gets a phone call from the doggie Dentist, Dr Teyler. Josh answered it on speaker and the convo went like this: Teyler: Hello, is this Joshua? My name is Dr Teyler, I'm from Copper View and my tech just spoke with Samantha. Prince is needing extractions done but she didn't give us the go ahead, so I'm calling to see if that's something you can authorize. Me: Um, I'm right here, Prince is my dog and as I told the tech, I want to see the X-rays before I authorize anything. Teyler: So you're questioning my recommendation? Me: Well, he's my baby and what you're saying doesn't make a lot of sense given that I know his lifestyle so I'm just asking to see the X-rays via email so I can make an informed decision. Teyler: I can send them but will you even know what you're looking at? After looking at the X-rays (and consulting with a TRUSTED vet my family has used for years back in Montana), I elected to not have Copper View do anything else to my little man. I don't fault any vet for making suggestions, but it was incredibly unprofessional for them to turn around and call my husband when I didn't give them the answer they wanted to hear. Then to condescend to me by asking me if I would "even know what I was looking at" (for all she knows, I could be a dentist) and her power trip statement of "you're questioning my recommendation" leaves me to believe she does not have my animal's best interest at heart and Copper View has officially lost my trust and my business. read more

Love the staff at this facility! I boarded my cat over the summer, and they were very attentive, kind, and courteous. I felt as if my cat was very well cared for during his stay. I had also booked a reservation for December (the week leading up to Christmas), but there was no record of it when I called to confirm. As they are very busy during the holiday season, there were no available boarding slots. This was stressful for our family, since we are new to Copper View, and had found (in Copper View) a boarding facility that we trusted and relied on. Since we were planning a last vacation with our critically ill son, this created additional challenges trying to find a facility as nice as Copper View. Although we were not able to secure a reservation for the holiday season, I would very much consider them for future boarding needs. They are great :) read more

I've been going here for years with my two golden retrievers. All of the vets are exceptional, as well as the techs and office staff. Dr. Steffanoff, Ustach, , Kershinik, and Schmitt are top notch. Very easy to make appointments. I feel like they work well to fit you in last minute. Nice you can drop off before work, if necessary. My puppy has spondylosis of her spine at a very young age and all of the vets have been so caring. They've grown bigger lately and moved to a huge new location and the old one serves as an urgent care for animals when there's no appointments available at the central location. Is this the cheapest place? Maybe not, but I have never questioned the care my goldens have received. read more

Horrible business practices, especially their management and front office staff. We have been with them for about 18 months and have not been pleased with their handling appointments and medications, but remained with them because we liked their vets. Today was the last straw. If you go with this vet hospital, this is what you should expect: 1. You will wait for an appointment for at least two weeks, which is fine if you're looking for a well check appt, but unacceptable if your pet is ill. Going to an ER Vet, which I had to do because I could not get an appointment within a reasonable time, is extremely expensive. 2. I made an appointment three weeks ago for my dog to get a vaccination. As I was getting in the car to drive to them for my appointment, they called and said that they had just run out of the vaccine, and informing me they might get it later today and we would have to reschedule. I was told that this does not happen "often", but it does happen "sometimes". After being juggled between people and spending 20 minutes on the phone, they said a tech would go to another vet to get a vaccine and that I could drive over. When I asked if I should wait until they have the vaccine and asked if I might end up waiting for an hour or longer, the staff member giggled and replied, "I don't know." I am leaving out other frustrations with lack of direct responses to questions, but I was able to get my pet vaccinated after a cluster of an experience. When I asked about either getting the vaccination for free or a discount because of their mismanagement, I was told I will be paying full price. I paid the bill and told them that we would use a different vet hospital in the future. They could not have cared less and did not ask for feedback to improve, I assume because they really do not care. 3. We have had other unpleasant experiences, but I am not going to spend the time to detail them. If you care about your pet and your time, go somewhere else. Bottom line: go at your own risk, you've been warned. read more

Cost me 300 dollars brought dog to get spayed, and when I went to pick it up they charged me another 400 on top of it. Don't be fooled by puppy package it's not worth the money you spend. read more

They have been there for us for puppy shots and care growing up, they have helped us when life didn't go as planned, they worked with us to find the best treatment and in the end they held our hand and cried when we did. We have a puppy that is very sick with Parvovirus. We had to take him to a 24-hour place over the weekend and had a horrible experience there. On Monday I called Copperview to see if they would see him and give him subcutaneous fluids, because it was so expensive to keep going to the other place. Not only were they incredibly kind and so much more affordable, but they saw him and taught us how to do the fluids so that we could do it at home! I finally feel like I can do something to help my sick little guy! I am so grateful they gave us a chance to take at least some of the power back with this awful virus. Dr. Stefanoff, Mindy, the vet tech and Cindy the receptionist were all life savers to us! We will be life long customers! The only criticism I have is their website doesn't ever seem to work. I came in a few weeks ago with my dog. He had a 2:30 pm appointment and I was the only person in the lobby. I waited 35 minutes and have yet to see the provider. My pet was there for a dental consult, so I thought the appointment would be a quick 30-minute visit. I politely let the receptionist know that we were leaving due to the wait time and that I would call back to reschedule. I called about an hour later and was told the soonest they could get me in for the consult was a month from now. It was a little annoying, but I had no choice, so I rescheduled a month out. I randomly received a phone call from the clinic manager, Lisa, a few days later. She was very attentive and asked about my experience. She even offered to squeeze my pet in sooner and went ahead and reserved a spot for his dental. My Marley was 6 years old when I took her to Copper View Animal Hospital and was diagnosed with PLE and later found she had Glomerulonephritis. During COVID it was an extremely hard time to feel hospitality while the facility would take my pup and do the check-ups and doctor visits without me present. Not only was I not able to be in the facility I never even had the opportunity to speak face to face with the vet. The office seems to be extremely busy and doesn't have time to give critically ill animals the attention they need. Every time the vet did a urine test, or blood work it would take week to just get the results, and this was with me calling multiple times to get the results and the front desk saying the results were in just waiting for a doctor to talk to me. When Marley needed a compounded medication the vet told me was the answer to her abdomen not filling up with fluid I was told to follow up with them if I didn't get it by Wednesday. When I heard news that the medication would take a week to get I called the office and the PA Melody made me feel bad for following up on the meds like I was an major inconvenience. I was told that the vet would call me to go over the dosage and would never receive a call from the vet to tell me what medications to give my pup. The vet sent me home with 5 medications and didn't tell me how long my pup needed to be on each one. My pup was only 6lbs and the vet had her on blood thinners along with a slue of drugs. Ultimately Marley didn't do well with the medication the vet ordered for her abdomen. After taking the medication on top of the steroids and everything else she passed away 5 days later. I called the vet and she didn't think the medication had anything. to do with Marley's reaction to the Meds. I do not blame the practice for the passing of my pup, however I do believe that I would have had a little more time with her on this earth if her treatment plan was done differently. Prior to her passing I was able to get a second opinion from another veterinarian I know now that the steroid could have been used alone and increased for the first week then urine analysis to find if the steroid was working before giving your animal an additional medication. I have to say the PA Lisa was great she always took care of me and never made me feel bad. The vet did apologize to me for the service provided after my sister called her to complain. She also followed up on a Friday super late in the day and I know she cares for animals but I still had to share this experience as overall I want anyone in my situation to know what they are getting themselves into with this hospital. read more

We have been taking our dog here since we bought her. Over 6 years ago. The Vet's and Medical Staff and Receptionists are very kind and welcoming. They do not guilt you for your medical choices for your pet, or any emergencies that happen, and they do X Rays, DentalWork, Grooming, Boarding and Vaccinations and Immunizations for your pet. Boarding is 22$ a day usually, depending on the time you drop your dog off. The staff is wonderful with our little timid and cuddly, lovable Dog- and they take them on walks and give them hugs. read more

Per requirements ( due to COVID) called from parking lot to get the required curbside dog pickup for scheduled grooming and could not get any one to answer the phone. Called over 7 times and no answer. Finally got an answer and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Then rude receptionist said we dialed the wrong extension, when "option #1" was clearly indicated on all parking lot signs. Wasted over 45 minutes just trying to check in. Love the vets here but just experienced a pet emergency and called to get a quick appointment. Zero compassion from the receptionist, she interrupted me to say they were booked two weeks out and should try to find some kind of emergency clinic. When I asked if that was going to be very expensive she said "how am I supposed to know". Called 5 other area vets and every one of them were extremely helpful and concerned, they could either schedule us within 24 hours or offered to help us find a vet that could help us. Unfortunately, we won't be back to Copperview. I have to find a vet that can be there for us when we need them not just at their convenience. read more

I came her with my dog for the first time yesterday for my dog's eye infection. They were very friendly and professional and took time to answer my questions, and they were gentle and comforting with my dog. There was little but of a wait but nothing that I didn't expect since it is a doctors office. Our follow up visit on Friday won't cost any extra either. I have 2 cats I had been going to a different clinic and decided to change. When I called copperview the staff were very nice and said if it was a concern to me it was a concern to them. I first brought my Maggie to see Dr. Amesbury she said Maggie had been sick because of the cat food she ate. Dr. Amesbury put Maggie on a prescription food. Maggie has not had a problem since. In May My second cat Sammie got really sick so I brought him in to see Dr. Stefanoff. Dr. Stefanoff has been very helpful he answers all my questions and calls to check on Sammie. Too many frustration to list. Thought they were an office of caring people when first taking our dog there. Now they are nothing more of a full of excuses , that are not valid excuses, for their lack of any sort of professional attitude for the job. Lip service to get you to trust but lack of action is so much louder. I would love to know how many of our fur babies have been the victims of Dr Tyler. I suspect that she believes that the Pet Parents are ignorant and clueless. Why would a Dr 'guess" about a possible urinary infection if they have had 2 separate blood & urinalysis test done recently. Send the test on to the parents for now on so that they can read them and inform the Doc of the situation. Goes on & on. Ridiculous My dog only began having serious problems AFTER being medicated by Dr Tyler and her not having the time to contact back for over a week later. We tried email, phone, etc. left to make our own judgementS what to do. read more

When our playful 4 month old kitten wasn't acting like herself and cowering under the couch, my mind went to the worst. We chose this hospital because it was close to the house, not knowing how incredibly friendly, helpful and fast the services were. There was a bit of a snafu with the online appointment request system (I requested an appointment on their website, not knowing that it was just a request and not an actual booking) but the front desk receptionists saw our online request and accommodated us on the spot. We got right in to see a veterinarian assistant and doctor and they immediately calmed our nerves, gave our kitten a thorough examination and gave treatment options. There really aren't enough words to adequately describe CVAH. Dr. Stefanoff, Mindy and Rachel made a horrible, sad decision and moment bearable. We had to put our 12 year old cat to sleep and anyone who truly loves their pets will understand what a heartbreaking moment that is. We arrived and were taken to a private area where we could be with Dexter in his final moments. Mindy and Rachel were exceptionally kind and compassionate and it was clear that they truly care about their profession. Not one time did I feel rushed or out of the loop with what was about to happen. When my little hell cat decided he wasn't going down without a fight I was asked if it was ok to give him a little bit of the sedative to help relax him long enough to get the IV into his leg. They didn't have to do that. I wouldn't have known any better. But they sought my permission and that speaks volumes about the people you are entrusting your pets final moments with. Rachel and Dr. Stefanoff stayed by my side as he was given the sedative and then the one that stopped his strong, feisty heart. I was all wrapped up in holding my magnificent, proud and gentle Dexter as he left so I didn't see the reaction from Dr. Stefanoff, but my 12 year old son did. Dr. Stefanoff clearly isn't indifferent to the passing of animals or the heartbreak of people. He hasn't been made cold by doing this time and time again. You would be doing your pets a disservice to go anywhere else. Thank you CVAH... my heart is hurting over our loss but I am comforted knowing he was well cared for in his final moments. read more

Best staff and doctors (dog-tors ha!). They always work to give us options, up front about costs, and love our pets. The doctors and staff know how important our pets are and how stressful the whole process can be, and they work hard to give us peace of mind in every situation. We had to put our cat to sleep and everyone in the office was so understanding and kind. They even have a special room and requested quiet in the office while we said goodbye. They even sent us a condolence card- its probably standard, but it still meant everything to us. We have been going there for about 6 years and will continue with all of our pets. read more
