It is a no-kill facility that takes pets from other shelters in the area. They take serious care of these animals and make sure to find them safe home. The animals are neutered, given shots, and groomed before being adopted. They even have their own bios. It's a little chaotic on the weekend since it's in the outlet mall but don't let that deter you if you're serious about adopting a pet. None of the animals seemed anxious or scared out of their wits. The kennels were welcoming and friendly, with multiple levels and space so the cats (with three levels) could have one level to play and sleep and another for their food & water and the bottom was for their litter. The dogs had a lovely space also, with none of it feeling like a stainless prison. There were several rooms to have a meet & greet & play with the perspective adoptee. There were areas big enough for the dogs to actually run around & play. It was really nice & welcoming. It was the first place I'd been to adopt an animal where I didn't feel completely sorry for all of the animals there. At some point I'd like to go back and get another animal. The staff was very helpful & even helped me carry some things to my car. The process was swift & easy. I can't recommend them highly enough. It was a truly unique experience that I won't soon forget. The staff I encountered were professional, but I could tell they genuinely cared about the pets in their charge. The facility is exceptionally maintained, especially for how crowded it is (come adopt and help it be less crowded) I took a look at their website, which shows they take the time to evaluate the personalities of every pet they put up for adoption. I was able to zero in on a couple candidates before showing up. If you're evaluating a pet for adoption I recommend having at least 30 minutes to let your prospective pet calm down in a "get to know you room" before making any final decisions.

I used Merrypets for group hikes for my dogs. My dachshund would come home appearing happy, and I…read moreassumed he was having a great time. Looking back, I think he was just happy to be home. I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.

An employee that went by "Smoot" (if I remember correctly) helped us out and was extremely knowledgeable about all fish and betas specifically. We were so excited after talking with her that we decided to just go ahead and purchase one today. She helped us pick out the tank, food, accessories and all the odds and ends we needed. She was so great and our beta seems so happy in her new home. Thank you so much Smoot. We really appreciated all the help!

They arrived within 3 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. They quickly made a connection with the dog. They listened to me and my wife's concerns about what needed to be done until they knew what we wanted, and then promptly got to work. Amazing! From very-hairy-indistinguishable-breed to a strikingly dashing schnauzer/scottie mix! No tranquilizer required. Wow! Aussie performed a miracle, and we're going to have them back! After multiple attempts to get our sweet girl on the books we have been left unread yet again. Such a bummer because I've provided tons of times and dates that I would love to have her groomed but they simply won't respond. Being ghosted multiple times is really quite a bummer. Onto the next one.
