The party was at 5pm, was told the delivery would be at 3-3:15pm, and the special guest was to be out of the house at 2pm to ensure everything was a surprise. The delivery showed up at 1:45pm and company signage was plain as day so needless to say this was not a surprise any longer. When I booked I stated the times I needed and that it was a surprise. I explained the situation to the person setting up the equipment and he said someone would be calling to discuss. Dave did call that day but I wasn't able to answer. Today was the first opportunity I had to call back and talk and that was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Dave answered, apologized, and stated the reason they were early was due to another late booking he needed his folks to get to so sent them early to my house. Then he put me on the phone with the woman I booked through who proceeded to say I was calling her a liar as I never stated it was a surprise, times were different and then called me a liar. Also stated this was 100% my fault since if I did state all my requirements then it would have been put on the paper work and noted. Apparently there is no way she could have misnoted or forgot to put that down. She was unwilling to even simply say "I'm sorry for what happened." A simple I'm sorry was really all I was looking for. Instead for 7minutes I had to listen to her call me a liar and repeat over and over this wasn't her fault. Does it even really matter? You own a business who interfaces with the public, learn some customer service, and don't call your customers liars. Not once did I ask for a refund or even a partial reimbursement to ensue an argument. And to boot, almost 5 years to date I rented the orange Tiger for a surprise party and they showed up early blocking the driveway so the guest of honor wasn't surprised then either. I should have learned my lesson, won't make that mistake again.

The company changed my pick-up date just days before the event due to not realizing they were going to be closed on that day, forcing me to rent a U-Haul to haul the items to a different location as I rented out an Airbnb and had to be out on a specific day. They informed me the day before delivery that a key item (margarita mix) was out of stock even though I had it reserved since July 2024. While the rental items were usable, they were not in great condition. Due to these issues, I would not rent from them again.

    Tough situation, excellent customer service. We rented a bounce house castle with slide to…read moreentertain children during our daughter's wedding reception. Unfortunately, the fan blower used to inflate the bounce house failed (wouldn't turn on). We tried multiple outlets, changed out extension cords, and even plugged the fan directly into outlets. Without a working fan, no bounce house. This happened on a Saturday evening so we couldn't even call for support. When I returned the rental and told the staff what happened, they checked the fan and it worked. So I was left with the fan making a liar out of me. Extremely frustrating when it looks like you couldn't figure out how to work an On/Off switch. No explanation why it didn't work. The manager, Mike, said "If it didn't work, it didn't work, refund the full rental cost" I wasn't sure how it was going to work out, but I did not expect a full refund. Sometimes things don't work. It says a lot about this business and it's staff that they understand this and went the extra distance in customer service. Aztec Rental has my highest recommendation because of how they treated this situation. I will definitely rent equipment from them in the future (hopefully without any hiccups), and will share this experience with Aztec Rental to my friends and colleagues. Mike & Cheryl Ann were both friendly and understanding. Well done.
