Oh, Nyack Hot Bagels... I want to give them 5 stars because they really do have the best bagels around; but I have to be honest, they never get my order right. I lived 2 blocks away for a decade and it got worse and worse over time. At first it was the deli sandwiches in the afternoon. You usually don't know your order is wrong until you've already driven away. And I only really get myself a deli sandwich on days I don't have the time to go back and wait for them to correct the order. It's frustrating. After the third mess up in a short time frame I just stopped going in for sandwiches, but the bagels always had me coming back. This last time was literally the last time. Now they keep messing up my breakfast orders too, not once, not twice, but now a third time in a row. Hubby and I were the only customers in the whole store this last time, beat the morning rush for a sunrise together, ordered 2 flavored bagels w/ flavored cream cheese to keep it simple (they had messed up our Hobos the time before by skipping the condiments and sending them out dry... they weren't very good dry), and even stood close in front of the staffer so he could ask us to repeat ourselves if he forgot what we had asked for. Still no luck. Got to our sunrise spot and cracked out an order gone wrong again. It was the last straw for us. How does an empty bagel shop mess up 2 bagels with cream cheese before 7am? I don't get it. They're busy; a thriving business with great food, but they can't slow down just enough to send you on your way with what you actually asked for, so I can't call it satisfying. Baffling that they either haven't noticed or can't be bothered to care. Sorry Nyack Hot, I loved you until you pushed me away. read more

If I'm being completely honest, this is by far my most favorite breakfast spot in the entire world. The 4 years that I spent going to Nyack college were easily the best years of my life but LET ME TELL YOU, they'd be nothing if it wasn't for this heaven sent bagel shop. Nyack hot bagel has everything you could ever dream of from authentic, loyal and generous workers to warm, fresh, mouth watering breakfast sandwiches. For an area like this, nyack hot bagel is extremely reasonable with their prices if not CHEAP in comparison to the quantity and quality of the food you're getting. It's close enough to the city that the employees understand our fast paced lives. I suggest getting anything on a garlic bagel - TRUST ME on this one. Sausage egg and cheese with home fries on a garlic bagel is the answer to many things in life - your hangover, your first meal after a vigorous all nighter of studying for finals, your pre church breakfast and your own personal glimpse of Heaven. read more

Flippin amazing - enough said! This place is on our standard Saturday morning rotation. The line gets long but moves fast, as in any good bagel place. The staff is quick and direct, but friendly. Know your order before you get to the counter. If you have a question, ask quick. If someone yells next and you're in the area, go for it! I haven't ventured far outside ordering the bagels, because really, why would you? I usually get whatever flavor is steaming up the bin, but my personal favorites tend toward cinnamon raisin or poppy. Sometimes I'll be wild and get some egg and bacon on that bagel. Some days I'll really push the boat out and grab a muffin. Other faithful Yelpers mention the quality of their cold cuts, salad, flavored cream cheese, which I have no doubt is probably amazing. Had to put a star. But would put zero if possible. This place is getting zero stars. Ended my shift at the hospital and was going for breakfast for my family. This place was chaotic at best. Both doors open. No traffic control. About 20 people on top of each other. They say 10 person minimum on their site. It's bull! I spoke with the person in charge he did not seem to think there was anything wrong. They have like 10 people cooking at the grill. The should have one person monitor entry point and minimize headcount for safety. Then they have call ahead and these people just co-mingle and barge in front of you. Create a curbside pickup system like the rest of the establishments do. Stay away if you don't want to be at risk for contracting COVID even pointed out that they do not have floor markings to identify 6ft. The bagels are the best around. The place can get very crowded and busy. I hadn't been there in about a year when I paid 95 cents a bagel. I was shocked to find the price is now $1.50 a bagel. I know we are in an inflationary period , but this is a 58% increase in a year's time. I don't know of any other bagel shops charging that. read more

This place has really gone downhill. Went in today for a bagel and an eggwhite turkey bacon and cheese in a scooped out bagel. The woman rushed me when I spoke and said "yea yea what else" I said again scooped out bagel. After my order I asked politely for an iced coffee and she legit huffed! Ummmm.. I'm sorry I'm asking you to do your job! Was charged 15. Stopped in for some freshly made bagels. There was a long lineup to order. Menu is displayed on big board on the back wall with prices. Your bagel is made fresh when you place your order. All the ingredients looked fresh. You pay for your order once your bagel is made. Our bagels were phenomenal. Haven't had a bagel that good in a really long time. Would totally recommend this place. Just had the most disappointing bagel here. The lady with the dyed pink hair was supper disappointed about her job and really took it out on me. Just wanted a simple toasted everything bagel and cream cheese with a large coffee. She cut the bagel and put it through the toaster and somehow burnt the bagel. Then cut the bagel into quarters before throwing on a glob of congealed cream cheese. This caused two problems, the cream cheese was a blob so it was gross. Second because she cut the bagel into quarters then applied the blob, I could not break blob and separate the bagel without a knife. Her much better coworker next to her warned the person behind me that the bagel were fresh and would burn if toasted. She also applied the cream cheese with a spreader before cutting the bagel. She also told the pink haired lady that she should spread the cream cheese. Pink haired lady rolled her eyes and said no. Spectacular fail on a very simple bagel and cream cheese. read more

The bagels here are warm, soft, and fresh from the oven if you get here in the morning. My everything with cc was flavorful and hot, which really took the terms "fresh from the oven" to a new level. The line was long but it moved quickly and the staff were very friendly and fast. read more

Nyack Hot Bagels...why are you in NY and not Maryland where I live? Every time I come back to Rockland to visit my sister we always make it a point to come here. Actually, it is just going to happen being that Sunday is "Bagel Day" in my sister's house so with tat said... The bagels here are as good as it gets. So fresh and they freeze beautifully. I always get a dozen and bring them home to freeze and eat later. They make their own egg/meat/cheese sandwiches here, along with tons of fresh salads and cream cheeses. The lines are always long, so be prepared to wait. It's worth it through since you really are getting the best. read more

Hole in the wall local family owned place, walked into super long line and reviews online said it was cash only so I was a little scared after seeing the ATM but someone in line and they said it was credit card as well. Just any other local bagel please only differences here you order your food wait for your food then you come back and pay. Little weird because usually you order pay and then come back for your food. Bagels look pretty good but when I got it, it was a little thin not as thick as usual local bagels. Had a bacon egg and cheese with home fries with Hot sauce and ketchup on everything bagel toasted. It was decent, you would expect with hot sauce and ketchup for it to be not dry but it was pretty dry and the potatoes were not really seasoned. Bacon was cooked well and the egg and cheese were good. Would want to stop by and try the cream cheese on a bagel instead next time. read more

The bada bing! The f*^% bada bing! I'm sorry but I always have ordered this from here! It taste amazing! The cuts are thin and plenty! It's a hit or miss with the vinaigrette. Some times the bread is a bit soggy and you sammich fall apart when you wait to long to eat it. Lesson learn. I have had the Italian too (stole some ones half) also love it. They have a great variety of Bagels, I've had a taste of a few of their specialty spreads, they know how to use salt! Honestly it's sad to say since they're the only bagel shop in nyack, but this place is such trash it is insane. The bagels- they're okay. But every single time I place an order for pickup something is awry. The time before last I asked for a ham, egg and cheese on a hero only to find when I got home that they put cold ham, and cold cheese on a hero with salt and pepper. Today, I asked for a chicken cutlet hero with lettuce tomato and Mayo with oil and vinegar. It came with no Mayo and no oil and vinegar. I went over the order 3 times with the girl over the phone and now I just think they're doing it intentionally. The most interesting thing is there is an ARMY of people behind the counter. I've never seen such an inefficient disaster. And the owner is standing back there pouring coffees instead of delegating his staff. Don't waste your time on this trash heap. The bagels here are so good, you would easily get a 5 star rating if you had a better system for placing orders. Every time I go here my order is wrong. It's crowded and the person taking the order doesn't write it down, can't expect them to remember what you said. Store is always packed and when your order is done it's placed by register, problem with that is nobody knows who that bag or pile of stuff belongs to, since they don't ask name and attach it to the order. Then they are opening all the wrapped sandwiches at the register to see what they are. It's just a giant cluster f every time I am there. Such an easy thing to make more simple and efficient. Too many mess ups and have waited over an hour if not longer for delivery a half mile from their store. Also we get charged different prices depending on who answers and takes our order- they don't honor the menu.The last time we ordered from them there was a huge piece of plastic in my soup and a hair on my co workers.
