    Bagels and Carvel Icecream
    Brian P.

Evening treat and pickup breakfast for the morning. Horseman Bagles and Carvel Icecream an interesting combination in Historic Sleepy Hollow. Looking for an evening Icecream we came across Horseman Bagels. Lots of traditional Icecream soft serve and hard Icecream but also a non dairy option made with oatly. On the other side you can pick up bagels and bagel chips. Very nice staff can assist with both sides.

Bagel with Egg and Cheese. Everything bagel was too salty. Sammy needed a condiment.

The reviews are so high because they're the only game in town. The food is fine. But don't except anything above average. And service is insanely slow. Expect to spend an hour here if you get in line at 8:30am or later on a weekend. The bagel selection was limited, but the bagels themselves had a good texture. The everything bagel was so salty I couldn't eat the top half. The bagel sandwiches don't have any condiments. They're just plain egg and cheese. A little mustard would go a long way. The service was plenty patient and friendly, especially given how busy it was. The worst thing is how slow it is. There were only maybe 5 orders ahead of us in line, and it took 30 min to order. The problem is the person who takes your order is also the person who makes your food and checks you out. 3 people were working. It was inefficient. There are only a few tables inside and out. But since it takes so long to order, there'll likely be empty tables by the time you are ready to sit down. Lattes on the menu but no lattes. Bummer. TL DR: everything bagel too salty, get a sweet or plain bagel with schmear not a sammy; plan to spend an hour here on a weekend morning.

Been an active TooGoodToGo user recently and love trying new spots! Though this bagel place has been open for a minute, was glad to pick up a bag that I was able to store in my freezer (tip: slice your bagels before storing!) These bagels are fairly large, they almost didn't fit in my bagel cutter! Not really a fan of the rainbow bagels but all the other flavors were perfect! Definitely will be back, especially to pick up a schmear!

I found this restaurant on my Too Good To Go app. I decided to try it out because I like bagels and I like sandwiches. I went one morning after work. I wanted to see what the hype was about. The entrance it pretty confusing if you don't live in Sleepy Hollow. This restaurant "appears" to be next door to the Carvel Ice Cream Shop. You actually have to enter through the Carvel Ice Cream Shop. I was immediately greeted and given time to think about what I wanted to order. I grabbed a Snapple Fruit Punch from the open fridge. I ordered an Egg and Cheese on a Bagel. I requested my plain bagel be toasted with butter and then spread with grape jelly before topping with the egg and cheese. I must say the sandwich was good (not like I make my egg and cheese bagels at home). The bagel was toasted a little too much to my liking, so the bottom was hard to bite and the cheese was not mixed into the egg. My sandwich was wrapped in aluminum foil and placed into a bag. They had no napkins available at the time (which is crazy because they had been open for almost two hours before I arrived). There's not much seating inside, but they also have some seating outside. (Which is nice for a sunny day or when the weather is good). Not too many inside, so it was nice and quiet when I placed my order. Will try again and next time ask that my bagel not be toasted too much. I spent like $8.50 for the bagel sandwich and drink.

Back again for bagels now they are re-open. Carvel also carrys many ice cream cake options. They currently offer gift certificates for any one interested in gifting local treats. Sayeed helped me today and is friendly and warm and happens to be one of the owners.

    Everything Bagel

I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese but got another kind of cream cheese. I think it would've been 5 stars if it was just plain cream cheese. Never tried this cream cheese before it's not too bad but does leave your breath stinky hehe.

Horseman Bagels has the most incredible bagels I've ever had! They are hot and fresh with the most perfect soft, doughiness while still having the perfect soft, yet crisp outside! We devoured plain bagels and rosemary garlic bagels. They were out of this world! The flavor was amazing. The tuna salad and nova were very good, too. The customer service is top notch! The whole staff couldn't be kinder, especially Saeed. They are personable, helpful, and patient. I highly recommend Horeman Bagels!! I would give it 10 stars if I could! If I lived nearby, I would come here for breakfast every single day.

I ordered a plain bagel, with lox and sun dried tomato cream cheese, I forgot to add red onions and that would have been the cherry on top but I can hardly blame them for my absent mindedness. My husband had a cinnamon raisin bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese and both of them disappeared into our respective bellies. Apologies to the New York bagel police but we did get them toasted, sorry not sorry. The actual bagels were very good, with a great texture and were not stodgy at all. They really put the bagels we get in California on notice. Next visit i'm going to try their egg salad, a particular favourite of mine. And while the menu inspired me to try so many options, I was corralled into only a precious few since nearly none of those options were available. Black garlic spread? Nope, not available. Honey jalapeño spread? Sorry, we're out. But the Green Goddess spread, described as "herbacious", sounded good atop my Himalayan blue poppyseed bagel(!). The amiable woman at the counter somehow intuited I wanted tomatoes and for good measure I added capers. And then she kindly offered to make it open-faced and to bring it to me at their outdoor table. Wonderful, caring service. Nice! My friend wanted coffee, and drip - his preference - was available (others were not). He gave the coffee a solid thumbs down: watered and weak. I preferred a hot tea and at first was denied because something - I don't recall what - was broken (backup microwave not available). But ha! The kind lady then offered to "run the water" through the latte machine to get that hot cup going. And her intuition again arose to offer me an Earl Grey, my preferred flavor. But let's go back to that bagel (see photo): a bit small, or traditionally-sized, if you prefer. The spread had the consistency of crème fraiche, meaning it was thinner than cream cheese. That's fine, though it wasn't particularly herbacious as described, perhaps just delicate in flavor. However it was pleasant. My biggest disappointment was with the gravlox serving, which was decidedly tiny. That was a letdown and may ultimately decide whether to return. Honestly it seems ownership may have bitten off more than they can chew. The grand aspirations of the menu were hardly to be found, offering only a distant glimmer of what could have been. And machines do break, but sheesh, you absolutely need access to hot water if you're going to serve the morning crowd. If I do return I'll have to ensure I'm less hungry, for starters. And I'll need to go with a different friend, as my companion today will not return due to the coffee. While I appreciate their approach, there are some rough spots that will require flexibility.

Even though this was not a vegan dish, who could pass on a collosal cheese biscuit. The egg was a nice accompaniment to this cheese biscuit also. The lady that gave me the biscuits said, wow!
