It is a large office with many rooms. Appointments can be made via text. From my experience, there is a difference between Chinese, Japanese and Korean acupuncture techniques and healing. The type of needles differ as well. Herbal medicine is a bit different as well. Not everyone uses the same techniques or formulas to treat patients. Some may work better for others as we are all made different. He uses Korean acupuncture techniques. I have seen Dr. Inho Kim three times. Each time he has been good at providing explanations in detail and reasoning for the type of acupuncture points. I've received acupuncture from other places and also from my father who did it on the side for family and friends throughout my childhood and adult life. I admit some of the sensitive points of my hand and feet did make me yelp. But it has been effective/helpful and you know the old saying "no pain no gain". Highly recommend! read more

This acupuncture clinic is a gem in midtown east for all those lucky to work near or pass by. Dr. Kim just raised the bar on the acupuncture game for me! My work requires me to be on the laptop for long hours and I had developed a pretty bad neck & shoulder knot one morning, and it was so bad that I could not concentrate on work. I look through and found this clinic that I hadn't found before (prob. because I was searching for massage those times) and it was literally half a block away! Now, I live in Jersey and have my acupuncturist there who's excellent, but since my needs were immediate, I called and made an appointment. To my surprise, he was a Korean gentleman and did a superb job communicating via text where the clinic is and even checked to see if my insurance covered acupuncture. (it didn't - i knew that because my insurance sucks :P ) Upon arriving, I found an immaculate waiting area - his practice is one of many in this "group" practice - and he soon came out with a warm smile to lead me into his treatment room. He was professional and warm in asking questions about the symptoms and a bit about my background then got to work. He recommended an 1.5 hr session since this was the first treatment and I agreed. I really liked that he explained what he was doing time to time, sometimes letting me know ahead of the time if one needle was going to hurt more than others. He engaged in little small talks and answered sincerely when I asked practice-related questions. Once acupuncture was done, he gave me a sort of deep tissue massage on my neck/shoulder area which I hadn't expected and he explained that this is a technique that is gaining in popularity in Korea called "Do Soo method", which uses the strength of the hand extensively to alleviate muscle pain. He basically used the weight of my head to unwind my tense shoulder and neck (by lifting top of my shoulder up with both hands) and used strong fingers to target and loosen the deep knots. It was so incredibly refreshing and healing! He explained that acupuncture needs to come first, then massage, making me remember the few times I just went to a cheap Chinese massage places around the office only to get half-baked massage that didn't resolve the neck/shoulder aches at all. Well, duh, now I know better! Bill came out to around $150 which reflects the higher price in NYC and follow-up treatmens would be $100, he explained. Once the session was done, I noticed that I could turn my head much more easily and without feeling like knives jabbing my neck! He let me know the pain should be gone by tomorrow but to expect some bruising from the strong massage. I got up next morning and guess what? The pain and the knots were gone completely, with only some bruises left. M.A.G.I.C., guys! So if you're around midtown east and got muscle issues, don't waste money going to cheap places that do not know what they are doing and go see Dr. Inho Kim at Mind Healience! read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Mind Healience Acupuncture. Whenever I am sick or I feel uncomfortable, I always stop by Dr. Kim for an acupuncture session. Every time without fail, I feel so much better. Dr. Kim is an amazing person. He is very professional, knowledgeable and his treatment is very accurate. He is also a very warm-hearted person. I always feel very comfortable there. A few days ago, I felt seriously dizzy. Whenever I would lay down or tilt my head, it felt as if my head was spinning and I felt nauseous. After I received treatment from Dr. Kim, the next day my pain decreased by a lot. On top of that, Dr. Kim always follows up with me after each session to see how I am recovering. On a different occasion, a few months ago, I couldn't lift my left arm because I tore two of my tendons. I decided to go to an oriental hospital to receive acupuncture instead of the usual physical therapy. I found him, and his acupuncture really worked well. At first I was wondering why he was applying acupuncture on my big toe, however surprisingly the next day I felt much better. After another session, I fully recovered from the pain. There are many doctors who specialize in acupuncture, let alone it's hard to find a doctor you can trust. In all my time at oriental hospitals, I have never met someone of Dr. Kim's caliber. I had the most pleasing and satisfying experience with Mind Healience Acupuncture, and I would like to recommend it to others. I had been suffering from allergy my entire life. Anti-histamine allergy medicine temporarily relieved my symptoms, but I wanted a more effective treatment. After doing research on my own, I decided to try acupuncture. I looked up a number of places and heard some outstanding feedbacks about this place. First of all, Dr. Kim is very friendly and his touches are very gentle. He has a very soothing demeanor which helped relieved my fear of needles. On my first visit, he checked my pulse and told me that my lungs are weak. I had pneumonia in the past, so I realized that he knew what he was talking about. He went on further to connect the dots and told me that I am suffering from allergies because my respiratory system, including my lungs, nose and airway, is weak. His accurate diagnosis won my trust, and I proceeded further to acupuncture. He inserted thin needles along my arm and after a few min he rotated them to penetrate the skin at a greater depth. Dr. Kim explains everything kindly during the procedure. For example, before inserting a needle, he would kindly explains to his patients the procedure he is about the perform. I've been suffering painful period and heavy flow after delivered my second baby. I always feel diziness and fatigue all day long. When i visit my OB/GYN doctor, he just prescribed hormone drug(I don't remember what is exactly). It does not work at all. One of my friend highly recommend Dr. Kim and i visited his office. I suffered from sneezing and itchy eyes, I couldn't sleep well at night. I had to take Zyrtec almost every day but Zyrtec only helped temporarily relieves my symptoms.
