I am rewriting this review because I cannot stress enough how horrendous my experience here was. I came in for what should have been a simple evaluation and left with pain I had never experienced before that has now gone on for a year and a half. The front desk staff was consistently rude, dismissive, and condescending. Their unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and outright arrogance was insulting. Their manager lies and laughs at you trying to make a mockery out of patients. It's sick. To leave not just without help, but with new, debilitating pain, is appalling. I don't even know where to start, as I have NEVER in my entire life been treated this way by a healthcare professional. My experience at this facility was gut wrenching to say the least. It literally had me in tears by the time I gotten to my car. I'm writing this review with the hopes It can be a step toward making sure others don't experience the same treatment, and even prompt this facility to reassess their practices. I arrived on 10/28 at 2:42 PM for my 2:45 PM appointment to see Dr. Mann for the progressively worsening pain in my neck/ back / shoulder/ elbow & both hands . I promptly filling out the required paperwork and returning it to the receptionist, I was asked to wait. After waiting for approximately 15 min, I approached the receptionist to ask if Dr. Mann was running on time. I was assured that he was and was told to continue waiting. Ten min later, I inquired again and received the same response. At 3:17 PM, I was finally brought to an exam room, where an assistant took my blood pressure, which was noticeably high. I asked how high, she said 167 over (and I didn't hear the rest).I waited an additional 10 min. in the exam room before I returned to the receptionist area to inquire about the delay. One receptionist was kind enough to check on the doctor and informed me that he was on his way. I was taken to a different Room by the lovely male assistant. I'm guessing Dr. Mann finally received my paperwork as he had questions which he asked the male assistant to ask me. The assistant walked back and forth 2 times to deliver my responses to him. I had to ask, why did he not just come into the room and ask me these questions in person. When Dr. Mann did enter the room, there was NO apology or acknowledgment of the long wait. Instead, his demeanor was brusque and unwelcoming, which made me feel as if my time and health concerns were inconsequential. Rather than addressing my questions directly, he seemed annoyed, and when I mentioned the delay, he dismissed my concern by saying, "No one goes to a doctor and be seen at the exact appointment time." He further went on to insisted he was not late as I was taken into the exam room and seen By who! the assistant who ONYL took my blood pressure while texting on her phone. Additionally, despite my elevated blood pressure, he neither acknowledged it nor offered further guidance, which left me feeling as though my health was not being taken seriously. How could you allow a patient to leave with elevated blood pressure levels. He then said there are other patients he was seeing. Fine, not an issue. I was just asking to be communicated with. I told him he had poor bedside manners and it went even more left. He even told me I'm not making the situation any better. I asked how long will this visit take as he was 45 min late. He then insisted again he was NOT late and with an attitude stated "as long as I wanted it to" Pardon, how do you tell a patient that. This interaction ended after two minutes. He stormed out the exam room left me behind & headed directly to the front desk and stated abruptly "she can leave". As a health care professional we take an oath to do no harm. Waiting for so long without updates, feeling dismissed, and dealing with a lack of empathy can make a difficult situation so much harder. Healthcare providers should show compassion, professionalism, and respect and no one should have to leave an appointment feeling worse than when they arrived. For me it was the lack of communication and empathy from that initial receptionist and doctor. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect both timely care and basic courtesy, and neither of these should be compromised, especially in a healthcare setting. I think we all deserve a healthcare provider who prioritizes not only our physical health but also treats you with the respect and compassion every patient deserves. Never have I encountered a doctor that truly does not care about her patients at all and is so purely negligent. Almost a month ago I contacted Dr. Mogilevsky's office asking for a refill on my prescription. The receptionist told me she would contact the doctor for approval and then get back to me. After waiting for a week with no contact from the doctors office I called back for an update and the receptionist had told me she emailed the doctor last week but hasn't gotten a reply and says she will email her again... This has gone on for the past 4 weeks of me calling and the receptionist telling me there's nothing she can do except email the doctor again even though she hasn't gotten a reply the prior 3 weeks! Meanwhile I am in excruciating pain. It's so wrong for a doctor to ignore and neglect her patients knowing people come to you when they are in dire pain! If you would like to get some proper care from a doctor STAY AWAY from this negligent office! They really do not care about their patients at all. read more

My second visit related to a problematic knee and the care was just as professional as the 1st visit. I asked specifically for Dr. Schechter who treated me last time and his manner, knowledge and professionalism was just as terrific as before. if I could rate this place zero stars then I would. Their lack of concern for their patients is mind boggling. The front desk is managed by 2 people who are so lost in the sauce they never send ur messages to the provider. Then the doctors claim they cannot be reached by phone to even prescribe medication.. and the front desk refuses to send ur messages to doctors voicemail. Also it's very evident they have a true lack of concern for their minority patients. I've been back and forth 3 times because it was the closet place to go to and each time I felt less and less motivated that they were going to try an help me. This is a great clinic in a convenient location, with good appointment availability and friendly staff. I've always returned to this clinic because they are the best. The doctors are very knowledgable, and always explain your options so you can agree a treatment plan together. I'm always seen on time, but it never feels rushed. Horrendous experience. I booked an appointment with a doctor and confirmed ahead of time that they accept my insurance. I went to my appointment and was seen by a different doctor than the one I booked with. Since that doctor was not on my insurance, not only could he not do anything for me without me paying an exorbitant amount out of pocket (they were asking for $1300 for today), but the appointment couldn't even count as an initial consultation necessary to get insurance prior approval before the next appointment. I'd have to come back and meet with another doctor just to have a consultation and then come back again to begin treatment. It's really unconscionable to jerk someone around like this when they are in intense pain and therefore extremely vulnerable to the point that I almost considered shelling out the money to get some relief. (I was also turned off by the doctor's condescending tone. I happen to be a PhD-level scientist, yet the examination was so brief and the explanation so vague that I had almost no idea what the doctor was recommending other than wanting me to shell out a lot of money. I was treated for sever Sciatica Pain by Dr. Mogilevsky and I couldn't be more happier with the results. I came in hopping on one foot and was driven in a horizontal position. The pain was so bad that even the prescribed ibuprofen 800 wasn't helping anymore. From the time I called for an appointment to the moment I WALKED out of the facility was a great experience. Throughout the entire time they set expectations by letting me know what will take place and all those expectations were met. Dr. Mogilevsky was terrific and made the actual procedure go smoothly. She's everything I could want in a Dr. If you are looking for a pain management Dr. in Brooklyn, she is definitely a great choice. My spine is a mess from a car accident and she can always pinpoint exactly where my pain is coming from and what I need. I had an appt. fixed with Dr. Mogilevsky for Friday 9/15/2017. I mentioned at the time i made the appointment that I was looking for a second opinion on a course of treatment being that i was with the same Dr for over two years & not showing positive results or a plan of action other than to repeat what was already attempted. I mentioned that I had in my possession two MRI reports for 2017 alone & other MRI & surgical reports dating back to 2011. This evening I receive a very unprofessional phone call from Dr. Moglievsky's office advising me that the Dr only treats with injections and nothing else. Not sure what that was supposed to mean, as i didn't ask for treatment just a second opinion of my condition. I would've considered making a change if I liked what I heard. The office staff was kind and helpful with scheduling and insurance. The medical assistants, PAs, and Drs were all very kind. I never had a ton of time with any of them but didn't feel like I was missing out on it or being rushed. Dr. Aalai and his team are absolutely outstanding! And I consider myself highly critical when it comes to client services. I visited his office for chronic back pain and on a whim randomly chose this office due to convenience of location. I made the initial appointment online which was seamless. Within hours I received a call from the receptionist confirming the appointment for the very next business day. No hassle. I was seen as soon as I walked in. Doctor spoke to me and was very transparent about what he does and what he doesn't do. He gave me options and ultimately let me make the final decision. They treated me right on the spot. The anesthesiologist was extra attentive and caring and informed me exactly what he would be doing. Usually it takes multiple appointments of consults, MRIs and extended waits between appointments. This is not the case here. I am on the mend due to this 5 star team. They even use a service to ship meds directly to my house and had a service that called me directly to book a MRI for me. At first I thought it was a fluke but I made a second appointment and was met with the same high end service. Dr. Aalai is clearly passionate about what he does and it is evident in the experience that the patient receives. This place is awesome. They helped me when no one else could. I cannot believe how lucky I was to find Unique Pain Medicine. For years I suffered from really bad back pain to the point where walking was difficult. Dr. Mojilevskly was able to have me pain-free in no time. My wife suffers from horrible headaches, neck pain, and back pain. They have provided her with help no one else has been able to, nor even tried to. As a result, my wife is no longer suffering like she was. But, wait, they went the extra mile, when my wife was losing weight, they did what they did not have to do, and got involved, recommending that she see a doctor for the weight loss. Furthermore, they recommended a neurologist for the headaches that my wife suffers from beyond the help they are already providing. They did not have to do this either, but this is just part of how much they care about their patients. The anesthesiologist is a trip, he cares greatly about his patients, but at the same time, will make certain you are comfortable and safe, all the while keeping you smiling and laughing so that you are not worried about your procedure. He is the only doctor I know who can actually find the vein the first time. Yep, the first time, no digging, no searching with the needle. One entry, and he's got it. Amazing, right.
