A few things are around here. It serves the L Train. This is in Ridgewood near Bushwick and the border of Brooklyn where it's not a good idea being here late, but it's not that bad earlier though. It just looks creepy. The service is reliable because trains come every few minutes it seems. It has a couple of entrances. One is on Norman Street. There's another on Wyckoff.

This station is smaller, quieter, and not as busy. Each time, I came through here, the people ahead of me just chose to jump the turnstiles. I was definitely among the few that actually paid the $2.90 fare. This station served both the A and C lines. I mainly took the C train into midtown Manhattan and the A train to head over to Howard Beach to catch a plane out of JFK Airport.

I always get lost coming here and it's very annoying that I have to look at the signs to remember which direction I'm heading towards. Also A trains take forever to come at night. He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

The transmission was bad, the alignment and suspension were shot, and the bathroom door did not latch. The suspension was so severely degraded that it audibly bottomed out on road bumps, causing motion sickness among multiple passengers. The transmission could not maintain speed on inclines, making the journey slow and stressful for everyone on board. The windshield wipers were so worn they could barely clear rain from the windshield (a serious safety hazard). Overhead storage bins would not latch, risking items falling on passengers, and the lighting inside most of them did not work. The spare tires were stored in a luggage compartment and had dangerously little tread remaining. We paid Rally/OurBus for what we were promised would be a newer luxury coach with ample luggage space and modern amenities. Instead, we got an old bus with no electrical outlets, damaged seat upholstery, and a bathroom that reeked before a single passenger had even used it. They sent us a vehicle that should not be in passenger service. When we sought a refund, we were bounced between Rally/OurBus (the broker) and All Aboard Express (the bus company), and now neither company will return our calls. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere!

The times I've been there it wasn't busy. After work I take the c to this location usually early in morning. Never had a problem. There's always someone in the booth but I don't know if they are there 24/7. But there seems to be this little rat that I've seen twice now. It seems not to be afraid of people because it will get close to you unless you make some noise. I bang my cane on ground and it runs. If I see it again I think my name for it would be van siclen. Place for the most is maintain as there isn't a lot of litter on ground. There is a leak but I can't tell if it's from just rain or something else?? For the most it needs more bench's to sit on. There's 2 on each side and pretty much only one person could sit there.

They were clear, kind and helpful in their communication when we initially approached them and set us up with two large shuttles. Their prices were also very reasonable. We had a last minute request to add an additional shuttle to take myself, my wife, our photographer and our dog to our ceremony location at Prospect Park, which they were quick to accommodate without any question. The morning of the wedding, the shuttle arrived early, the driver Austin (who is an awesome guy and deserves a raise) called to let me know he was there, and that he would circle the block until we were ready. He was very patient and kind as we took photos walking up to, and exiting the shuttle. There was a street sweeper blocking the street ahead of us, and to make sure we weren't late to the ceremony, Austin started impressively backing down the one way street, maneuvering around cars to get us back on the road. Luckily the street sweeper moved and we could go forward, but the fact that he was willing to do that was amazing. He got us to our location on time, and was kind the entire way. The shuttles picked all our guests up promptly later in the day, and got everyone to the after party safely and comfortably. Both shuttles seemed brand new and incredibly clean. I can't recommend Brooklyn Shuttle enough. If you have any doubts, don't. Just book them and you won't be sorry.
