He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I had to book a round trip from central NJ to Newark airport and forgot…read morethe name of the car service we used previously. My wife was at work, so I couldn't ask her to remind me. I called MetroPark on April 3rd for a pickup on April 4th and spoke to 'Sid'. He seemed like a nice enough guy although he couldn't seem to either hear or understand what I was saying part of the time. He told me what the price would be for the pickup at our home and for the return trip, I gave him my credit card info and email and he said I would be receiving an email or text confirmation. By the morning of April 4th, I had still not received any confirmation but what I did receive was an almost $400 charge on my card from them. The agreed upon price I got on the phone was $120 each way. I called the main number back at 8:10 am on April 4th, got a different person, told them I had not received confirmation and asked why I was charged so much extra. He was rude and condescending, said it was sent and that I should check my spam email (which I had already done prior to calling), told me the extra fees were for gratuities and other expenses and added that I shouldn't book them if I can't afford it. Keep in mind that this comment comes from a semi-literate working at a taxi stand. Needless to say, I emphatically told him to cancel the service and hoped this would be the end of it. I then called my bank to give them the heads up about these charges as I would be out of the country for over a week. They explained that the charges were still pending, but I at least wanted it to be on record that I contacted them immediately. As I write this on April 13th, the charges were still on my card, so I filed a fraud complaint with my bank and the charges will be taken off. Also, we went with the car service we had previously used and they were honest, charged less, had a clean, new car and were top notch. Even our driver was a pleasure. To summarize, it is much easier to be an honest company who treats their clients with respect and good service than a vampiric parasite who tries to cheat honest people out of their money. You are only hurting yourselves in the long run through loss of business and reputation. MetroPark, are a few extra ill-gotten bucks really worth it?

Driver said thanks and keep them posted. I notified them 3 more times by text and talked to the driver on the phone and he said not to worry, keep him posted. So I did. He said he was at a party, no problem. Never did he tell me I was being charged from the original time. I believed that because I gave over 2.5 hours notice, I wouldn't be charged. I paid $193 for the trip from Metropark to Rumson. They billed me an extra $180 the next day. When I questioned Sid, he was extremely rude. He sent an email threatening to sue me if I write a bad review. I felt that his driving was very safe, and the car was clean and comfortable. Not only was the driver fantastic, but the price was so reasonable. I paid exactly what quoted (plus tip, of course), and it was well below quotes I received from other services. Finally, I noticed other reviews where others were unhappy because they couldn't use a credit card. Fortunately, I was prepared with cash, but my driver mentioned that credit cards are normally accepted, but cannot be used on Sunday because offices are closed and they cannot call in for authorization. I think that's reasonable, and I will definitely use Classic1 Limo next time I need a car service in Manhattan.

One star for him actually showing up on time. 0 stars for everything else…read more Why, you ask? I'm generally a very nice guy, and can tolerate a lot. Not this. 1. The driver was sick. Not sniff sniff sick, but cough hack cough gross cough sick. I'm just glad his window was open most of the ride so we did not hang out with an incubating virus. I'm going on vacation, not taking a trip to the CDC. 2. Who drives through the Lincoln Tunnel and purposely opens the window all the way? Any NY or NJ resident can attest to the questionable air quality down there. 3. He was texting and emailing while driving. Seriously? Illegal. Unsafe. I want to live. Every time his iPhone made a noise (text, email, whatever) he unlocked, looked, and addressed it. 4. He drove like we were very badly losing an F1 race while driving in a Suburban. Routine 3-lane shifts, tailgating, playing chicken with busses. Topped out at 87mph. Seriously? What the hell is the rush? SLOW DOWN. 5. See number 4, add number 3. Even more emergency braking because of this. Exponential amounts of stress. 6. Did I mention he was sick? Yup. 7. My quote from Hoboken to JFK was $88. Not $104. 8. $8 charge to use my credit card?!? What now? Why was that not in the quote when I explicitly said I was charging this? 9. We got there. I was livid. I argued the $104. I finally said whatever - and then he said "that doesn't include tip." OH? I threw a few bucks down in cash and left without saying anything. 10. Went thorough security, livid. Called the company, they were nice. Took a very detailed complaint and said the manager would call me back, he wasn't in yet. I'm out of the country right now (vacation in the DR) but I hope, for their sake, I have a voicemail and direct contact information for the manager on my phone right now. 11. They must have then called the driver to tell him I lodged a complaint --- because then he called me. On my cell. From his cell. To yell at me. And say he was not texting. To say he drove fine. To say I was rude. To say he left us alone the whole ride. Let me repeat - the driver called me. To bitch. At me. Don't call me - that's your manager's job. This is the definition of unprofessional. This is a service business. Your job is very literally to drive me to a place. Safely. Not like we are racing. Don't play with the traffic. Quit swerving around. I paid for a relaxing ride to JFK, not a race in a death trap. 12. I called the company back again and told them the driver called me. I want a full refund. This was a nightmare. Judging by the generally positive reviews, I'm sure there are better drivers. But at the moment - under no circumstances do I recommend this place. Maybe we'll talk when I get a full refund and a coupon for a large % off my next trip, should I ever choose to try them again. Update: the manager texted me and is aware of what happened. We will talk when I am back - and we'll see what happens. Update 2: Got charged for 60% of the total trip and I have a free ride to EWR if I want it....nah.
