Arriving a half hour before opening, I was taken by how many folks were already lined up, fortunately I made an appointment. The tall thin black employee whom you will see upon entering might be tbe rudest person in a processional environment that ive ever witnessed in action. This individual really needs some career counseling as he'd be better suited having no contact with people in the office. I watched him bark at people, be dismissively rude, just a low class personality. However, the agent assigned to me upon being called to a specific room, was extremely helpful, kind and effective. Having come prepared with a mountain of paperwork, she calmly and patiently sifted through all of what I had with me. Upon completion, assured me that all files will be sent to the appropriate party for processing. Her five stars and that other guys one star brings the average to a total of three stars. See what a bad employee can do to hurt ones star rating? So unfortunate for all the others.

    OK thanks for been helpful

I went back 1 week later and the officer told me fill up some papers. never give me a copy. wen back to pick a report and give me a clean slip to call back for the complaint report. calling several time and no body answer. finally got someone and she pass me the report number. Now, the slip has no dates, address or type of crime writing. I write de complaint number. And that's is all? . I request a copy of my complaint, she told me they don't give it!

This is how and why I found myself in front of my sisters apartment building, with my suitcase, the temperature dropping, and no idea what to do next. The call had come a few days prior and I found myself speaking to an officer of the 112th Precinct. Unable to even get into the building, and knowing it had been sealed by the police, I headed to the agreeable close station. There the desk Sargent on duty and civilian present (I assume a community service officer) were sympathetic and were able to help me understand what I needed to do to get a court order to enter to get clothing for my sister and go from there. It was a bit of relief to go from unsure to having a mission that I needed to accomplish. 3 days later I was back. This time it was to wait for an officer (or two) to escort me and supervise my time int he apartment) which would be under seal till the court declared me an administrator. They again were friendly, professional, and sympathetic. I would have to wait. Unsaid was that this was not a high priority. So I waited. It took many hours, but they were able to free up 2 officers to head over with me. Again the officers who escorted me were friendly and professional. It was appreciated in this trying time.

THE LAST TIME YOU GET YOUR SAY IS TODAY!…read more It's Election Day Tuesday November 3, 2020 in the Covid Pandemic nightmare we live in. I'm posting this again just to stress the need for everyone to VOTE! I'm at a loss for words when trying to explain why I feel it's so important. I just feel like no matter how much we protest, if we don't vote, change isn't going to come. It's the bottom line when all is said and done. It's how your VOICE is HEARD! A Year ago I attended my NYC First Day ever using Early Voting. I went the first day which was a Saturday shortly after they opened. My designated location is in East Harlem at the Jackie Robinson Center. Back then it was so easy, no line, electronic signature and they print the individual ballot. I had a great experience because I set aside the time to get my Voting done. I was anxious to see how it would be for the 2020 Presidential Election. Flash Forward to Early Voting 2020 during the Covid Pandemic and Presidential Election. I'm giving the Board Five Stars for enormous improvement over the years. It wasn't long ago the system was antiquated compared to what I experienced in other States. I had a good experience in 2020. I thought last year was good. The 2020 Election brought huge lines on the first day of early voting. It was a Saturday again. Voting doors opened 10am. There was very little confusion about where the lines were headed. The disabled had a separate line. I saw lots of Poll Workers that stopped to speak to us. Everyone was so nice and hard at work. Once inside I was completely comfortable with social distancing and the signature process. At no time did I need to touch anything that had been touched by another voter. Since my daughter and I were together they kept us together and we were directed to a separate line for a speedy sign in. If you have the voters card that comes in the mail they photograph it. The workers don't touch anything and you don't either. They do hand you the ballot only. You're given a pen and you keep it. As we entered and exited we were greeted and guided by friendly volunteers. Even with their masks I saw the smile in their eyes. They were happy we voted. We were happy it was only two hours from the time the polls opened until we were on our way home. We arrived a half hour before the polls opened. People coming later waited much longer! There are people complaining that changes need to be made. They say more polls need to open with more volunteers. They want more money spent on more voting machines. It's my opinion that after the Presidential Election and the pandemic is over complacency will return. Deal with the lines, the wait, and show up to VOTE! I couldn't ask for any Board of Elections to do a better job than My Home in New York City! You don't need to fear for your health when you vote. They have our safety as a priority. I haven't heard of anyone fighting or violence at the polls so far. There weren't any NYPD on duty at my polling place. Maybe they will make their presence known on Election Day. I'm glad NYC Voters are showing a true representation of how the majority of us behave. Let's keep the PEACE no matter who wins this election!!

There are clearly employees at the counter who have no idea what they're doing. I've lived in Forest Hills for 25 years. I'm usually a very patient person and can tolerate a lot. But what happened today was completely unacceptable. Yes, I know lines at the post office can be long and require patience. But this crossed every line. Today, Tuesday, July 14th, a little after 10 a.m., I joined the line. By the time the woman three people ahead of me reached the counter, I had already been waiting over 30 minutes. What I saw at Window 4 was shocking. The customer was trying to point out a mistake the clerk had made, but the same interaction repeated more than 10 times. The entire line was stunned. People started loudly booing -- something I've rarely seen. Even I, known for my patience, got seriously irritated for the first time in my life. It was beyond ridiculous. It was downright inhumane. The clerk simply couldn't understand what the customer was saying, no matter how many times it was repeated. Any other employee could have handled it in 30 seconds. After being forced to wait over 35 minutes, it was finally my turn -- only for the same clerk at Window 4 to suddenly announce, "I'm going on break," point toward the other line, grab her coffee, and walk away. Excuse me? A break? You haven't actually done any real work yet -- you've just spent the entire time making mistakes! Was that supposed to be breakfast? The Forest Hills USPS office is, without a doubt, the slowest and most incompetent post office in the world.
