Let me share my recent stay at this hotel, and boy, do I have some stories!
So, I flew in from the US to the UK and thought, "No worries, I'll just sort out those power outlets." But, alas, my emails about fixing the power adapter were completely ignored. Bummer, right?
Then there's the food delivery saga. They left out food at room temperature for a whopping 6 hours! I mean, come on, a fridge isn't rocket science, folks.
Let's talk cleanliness. When they "cleaned" the room, it felt more like a quick towel swap and trash toss. And don't get me started on those bathroom walls - with suspicious fecal matter stain!
Oh, and hard water? Yeah, it's a thing here. Stains on the shower doors and toilets that splash water like it's a water park - not the kind of excitement I signed up for.
As for noise, those wooden doors sound like they're announcing every entry and exit in the whole place. Sleep? Forget about it. You'll know when someone's up at 7 am or coming back at 11 pm.
And the staff? Cold as ice. I mean, I've had warmer interactions with strangers in the subway. Seriously, where's the hospitality?
Even at checkout, the front desk fed me a lie about an elevator at the Holston subway station. Like, really? I'm lugging around 2 pieces of heavy luggage here!
But wait, there's more! Housekeeping decided to play a little game of "What's Missing from Your Room?" and took 2 of my things. Cue the police report.
All in all, it was an experience, to say the least. But theft and indifference? Not exactly what I had in mind for a relaxing stay. read more
