I fell in love with NYX cosmetics last year when I realized I could get good quality, cruelty free products at a super reasonable price. So when I passed by this store in the mall, I was absolutely thrilled! This ain't no Target or CVS display. It's wall to wall products complete with testers for everything. This means you can try out all their funky colored cosmetics with no risk; lime green mascara and bright blue lip gloss has never looked so appealing! One of the coolest things I saw was a create your own palette bar. You can actually hand pick eyeshadow shades to make your very own palette instead of buying a premade one. Revolutionary! The best part? It won't break the bank. The products only go for about $5-$6 a pop. I bought 6 items for only $33 including tax. At Sephora that would've been the cost of one, maybe two items at the most. Looks like I know where I'm going in the future for my cosmetic hauls! I've been a fan of NYX cosmetics for years and am so happy they opened up their own store in North Jersey!!! I used to go to Ulta to purchase NYX products, but this store has waaaaay more selections so it's worth the extra miles for me. The quality of their makeup is comparable to certain brands in Sephora, but offered at a lower price point! Today I stopped in specifically looking for a shade in their Lingerie lipstick line. I saw the color sampled online and wanted to go in store to try it on. Since the demand for this shade was so high, a store associate informed me the color had been out of stock since the beginning of the month. She was nice enough to "replicate" the shade by blending a bright lavender matte lipstick with a dark shade in the lingerie lipstick line. I came into the store the two employees were both working with someone so I stood for 15 minutes waiting patiently. Someone else walked in and was helped 5 minutes later... I stood for 25 minutes and she was helped after 5 . I was ignored. The only reason I'm giving 4 starts is because the woman who just started her shift came and help me right away and was extremely nice and very helpful. Her name was Shaka if that's how it's spelt. Went there for the makeup 101 session. Which was basically getting your makeup done at no cost with the purchase of items worth $50 or more. It was for my baby shower and not only am I generally VERY picky about how my makeup is done, I was also dealing with a lot of discoloration in my face due to my pregnancy. My makeup artist for the day was Melissa Falco and I couldn't have been more pleased with the service I received. Not only was she super sweet and made me feel comfortable, she was very patient with me and let me know if I didn't like anything I can always tell her and she can switch it up. Welcome to the first East Coast NYX Professional Makeup store! I attended the opening today and had no idea NYX had such an expansive product line! Although you can get NYX products in taget or ulta, it is still worth it to check out the store. They have a beauty bar in the center where sales associates will do your makeup. They're so knowledgable about NYX products and provided useful suggestions. I also appreciated that most of the products had testers and samples available. I will definitely be back for my makeup fix! read more

Finally a physical location on the East coast for everything NYX! It's in a strange location (Wayne, NJ doesn't seem as glamorous) but worth the trip from the city (30 mins by bus from Port Authority). The store is small and feels a bit cramped but not because of the set up but because of how many people there were. It reminds me of how cramped MAC stores usually are. It has a great selection (the entire NYX collection) which surpasses what you would find in Ulta or Hashtag. The staff are very friendly and helpful but busy. My advice is to go on a weekday when you'll be able to peruse without a crowd. I'm definitely coming back here! If you have the chance its better than doing your shopping online. read more
