Decided I wanted to do something different with my hair and chose this spot. I wanted to treat myself after salons being closed for so long. Not a good idea, I honestly feel robbed. Keep in mind this was my first professional salon experience where I went to color my hair and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I showed a picture of what I wanted (3rd picture, I wanted the color and to go lighter, nothing crazy, was told it could be done as a partial balayage at the lower layer of hair and single process pull) and I left the salon after 3 hours and felt like literally NOTHING changed in my hair color other than like 6 added streaks of highlight. I paid $190 + tip to come out looking exactly the same. I don't really write reviews at all but I've never had such a disappointing experience before. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait a few days to see if MAYBE it would get lighter but it stayed the same. I didn't ask for anything extravagant. As a customer you want to feel amazing after leaving the salon and I just ended up feeling super stressed out because it was basically $200 down the drain. I'll be honest, the atmosphere was really nice my stylist was super sweet but I didn't get what I wanted. I reached out to them for a refund or some sort and they agreed that it didn't come out as expected, they weren't able to offer a refund but they did offer to redo it for free, but I declined because I really didn't want to be disappointed for a second time. I was never mentioned to me that I would have to maybe, possibly come back or that my hair wouldn't lighten in one sitting. I took a gamble going the first time but I don't think I'll come back again, wouldn't recommend to anyone either. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Firstly, I hate those sinks where they wash your hair because they pinch your neck and make me feel like I'm choking. But not here!!! They've got these awesome supports that hold up the BACK OF YOUR HEAD and I could fully relax for the first time EVER. It was amazing. Nicole and I clicked. She's fabulous. The staff was super nice and very intelligent (not to mention had wonderful hair). When I asked for something g new but had no real ideas, Nicole helped me out. Made a consultation with gabby so that she could order the right hair for my extensions got my extensions done and paid 450.00 plus tip . Only to find out 4 weeks later that one the extensions didn't last as long as she said it would . Two I had 4 different colors in my hair . I went to two different salon to see what they could do about the extensions to come to find out I had 4 different colors and 4 different matierals of hair both salons told me that she didn't order my hair for me but gave me what was left over total unprofessional. I had to go to another salon to fix my extensions and fix the color because the job wasn't done right . I will good back there . Completely waste of money . read more

I walked in to the salon to first inquire about prices and met with Gina, who broke down all of their services and gave a really detailed explanation of all of the facets of hair coloring. I went back a few weeks later and had Baylayage done with Gina. My hair looks amazing! She's really talented. The studio itself was super friendly and in general, it was a really relaxed environment. Dominique did my balayage and cut my hair. She did an amazing job! She explained everything to me as she was about to do it. Her prices are also super convenient and her salon feels like home, she is always funny and attentive and her staff is great. All of her stylists are 100% professional and are dedicated in taking the time to listen. I had the best experience at Colour Bar today. Everyone was super friendly. I had a makeup tutorial with Julianna and she was incredible! She is very talented and able to work with different complexions, skin types and features. For our tutorial, she asked us to bring our own makeup so we didn't have to work with products and tools that were unfamiliar or spend hundreds buying new stuff and guessing if any of our existing products work into our new routine. She took us step by step through our existing make up process and taught us new techniques that improved the impact. The improvements will definitely help us save money over time too by not wasting product. She also gave us great recommendations to expand what we use if it makes sense and offered drug store brand alternatives so we didn't have to break the bank. I wasn't an expert but she helped me practice and even if you are pretty proficient at making yourself up, she has many tricks up her sleeve that will make it come out sooo much better!!! She knows her stuff and I can't believe i waited so long to learn how to do makeup properly. read more
