Sure, the painting came out great but they put so much more into the work than just painting. They vacuumed while they sanded and vacuumed again at the end of each day, washed all the light switch and outlet plates before putting them back on, cleaned the windows and even replaced the seals on the entry door because they had paint on them from the previous painter. The Zero star is for Jim, the…read moreowner. 3 1/2 stars for his painters, Jim did nothing, except show up at my house and bully me into the job that I was having second thoughts about. He wanted a massive deposit from his overinflated quote and wouldn't leave my house until I paid him. I should have called the police. I was feeling incredibly violated in my own house by a stranger!! I told him I didn't have the amount he wanted, he got pissed and says FIRMLY, "how much can you give me then?" He's obviously hard up for cash and took full advantage of me. So I gave him the amount he wanted but it was very stressful because I had to find a way to move money into that account. I felt committed because he drew up a contract and it made me nervous, but now I'm like that contract was as good as used toilet paper. He violated me, invalidating the contract. I should have put a stop payment on the check when he left my house but I was so nervous. Jim cashed the check before the ink dried. He makes you very uncomfortable and he's intimidating. He must have worked in TimeShare because he's pushy and gets mad when you ask questions that are totally appropriate to the job. He was just a complete angry asshole. Clearly trying to hide that he has no idea what he's doing and has no idea how to run a business. When he was at my house, he said he knows a guy that could replace my kitchen counter with corian! LOL!! Really? I wasn't Looking to have it replaced!! And Corian??!!, hey Jim what decade are you living in? When I told him no, because I just had the counter replaced that week with granite!! He looked at me in total anger. He's a horrible person. He uses a scare tactic to drum up his business. Anyway, after seeing the overinflated quote and materials I was paying for that should be factored in the price during the job, not before, totally shocked me. He could have given me a rough idea of the cost of the materials. Instead he was already charging me for materials not purchased yet. How does he know what they cost? He just made up a number! A huge number!!! He's a terrible human being, very sleazy. Steve and Ed are nice guys, those are his painters also, "supposedly" skilled in remodeling, but I had my doubts when they didn't seem confident in some work that was to be done. So we skipped it. Jim offers remodeling, but it's sketchy. Jim will try to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge. Anyway Steve and Ed are hard workers, mostly painting, but a little sloppy and rushed. Probably because Jim treats them like work horses and they need to move fast to get to the next job. They should go work for someone else. They can do way better. I found a very serious complaint against Jim on the Better Business Bureau too, very similar to my experience. . I'm considering adding my complaint to BBB My very stressful several months are over, I'm out thousands of dollars, sadly. I had to take that money from my kids savings account and a small portion from my dad's inheritance. I'm sad I had to do that. I'm sleeping a little better at night knowing there's a special place in hell for Jim Sargent. You low life!!!

Called Ron and scheduled a time for him to come out and look at having our gutters and trim painted…read morein mid-October. He came out and gave his assessment. We needed trim replaced due to water rot from the gutters and he suggested we use some PVC trim boards. He also noted other concerns with some shingles that should be addressed soon outside of the trim painting. His estimate was so low, half of what others estimates were, I thought he might use inferior product, but was assured that they use a quality product and they don't like to price gouge customers like other contractors do. Ron doesn't talk to you like a contractor looking for a paycheck, he talks to you honestly like a family member. Ron and his crew came out in November and power washed all my trim, repaired or replaced any rotten boards and gave a good coat of quality paint. He even had our small back deck power washed at no extra cost, as he already had it out for power washing the trim. Fast forward 7 months, and the trim and gutters still look like new. Even painting in colder November, the paint held up with no cracking or peeling after going through winter and now that we've had some 80+ degree days everything is standing up. I couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Bigley Professional Painting.
