A stone throw away from La Place de la Contrescarpe, and Hemingway's apt at 74 Rue du Cardinal Lemoine (the place where Verlaine died as well), I can assure you that the voracious writer would have devoured many a shawarma, kastas or falafels, as these are indeed "moveable feasts" that you can savor on the go while on your Paris explorations, without being rattan chair bound elbow-to-elbow with other Parisians, as you surely will be (and should be) eventually. This little hole in the wall has indeed the best shawarma I've ever had in three continents, and it's a must have for those on literary pilgrimages in the area.
