Friendly customer service and very nice folks. Great prices. The business is easy access and they have plenty of parking.

Service. Nice store very clean. There is one rude blonde older woman, I encountered for the second time in as many weeks. I try to be friendly, last week I even gave her a compliment as she was cleaning the shelves; she is just sour on life. Gruff. Just a real downer. Went in today with a friend who caught her in the aisle before I could stop him. She couldn't be bothered. When I saw my friend approach her, I knew it was not going to be good. She has the personality of a women's prison guard; tough, mean, stern. My friend asked her about getting empty liquor boxes for an estate sale. She point blank lied to us, said every box they have, they fill it right back up to sell. Incredulous, I asked her if they sell big volume, .because that would be amazing. She would have us believe every single customer goes out the door with a cardboard box of liquor. I owned a liquor store. I know we received deliveries 3 days a week, and what was not immediately restocked on the floor, would be placed in the storage room, in unopened boxes, or individually on the shelves. At the end of the day we always had empty boxes. We used to gladly provide boxes for people whenever people would ask. The rest had to go into a recycle bin. This stupid lie was just insulting. These guys Rock! Exceptional customer service. So attentive and knowledgeable. I came in just looking for wine, but ended up buying craft beer and spirits from their wonderful and large selection. Michelle was friendly and patient, as my husband and I asked many questions. He watches "moonshiners", and was excited to get some good options to try here. Butter pecan anyone? Yum! Wow, what a great liquor store! As bourbon drinkers this was a home-run. So when you come in the store you are greeted and asked about your membership. You can shop without one but I don't know why you would. They have great deals that you get informed about and nice discounts. They had a decent selection of tequila and Mezcal. Their liquor selection was great and also reasonably priced. They had several bourbons selections that are hand-picked by the staff. There is also a really big rye selections. Most of what you want during any normal time of the year for bourbon. I am sure during peak bourbon times they also have the seasonal products that you can't always find. These guys are new to the area (apparently from Rock Hill) and built just behind the well established Blue Ridge Wine and Spirits. They advertise as wholesale liquor. My wife and I went in to see what the hype was about. The selection was standard fare, some shelves were pretty empty for anything that would have interested me, and the staff didn't appear very knowledgeable. During our visit one staff member was trying to up sell an older couple on some over-hyped and overpriced (not very good quality) bourbon. The couple had stated that they were trying to explore different bourbons and whiskeys and weren't very well versed. In the future, I'll just save myself some time and go to the well established Blue Ridge Wine & Spirits just down the hill (next to Burger King). The staff and owner there have always made great recommendations and the prices are better on most products that I commonly purchase. The owner at Blue Ridge is a fountain of knowledge, and will often talk me in to a better value than what I was looking for because he actually wants to make his customers happy. O'Darby's is a disappointment to me so far. While it's always good to have options in a small town, they will be my last option. read more

I've shopped this store for a few years. I go a bit out of my way to get there but they were the only store around that carried my favorite wine in the larger bottles. When I stopped by just before Christmas I didn't see this wine on the shelf, and there was no label. I asked a manager to get it for me, and explained why I wanted to order it as I cannot get it in the larger bottle anywhere else. She said she would. It took awhile to come in, almost forgot about it. Amanda called to tell me my wine was in. I was ill, so I called and they promised to hold it for me to the next week which I thought was great. When I got there, it was the small bottle, not what I ordered. They called the manager out from the back room and instead of taking responsibility for not getting in what I ordered she stated they didn't have the large bottle in stock. Why wouldn't she have told me that when she called me to tell me my order was in? I can get the small bottle everywhere, and she knew this. I was going to take them anyway but the price was higher than the grocery stores so I declined. She did say she was sorry, but quite frankly I'm so angry I don't think I'll go out of my way to go there anymore. read more
