The potato pancakes were stellar. While not crispy, they were mostly firm on the outside, so they stayed together pretty well, and the flavor on the inside was an array of potato, onion, and spices. I made a good choice and they make a good potato pancake. The beer battered cod was good, though the third piece on my initial plate was getting a little soggy on the bottom by the time I got to it due to the grease in the breading. The rest of the fish I got during my meal didn't have that problem. I was impressed with how quickly they were able to get additional plates of cod out, although I would have preferred the option of more than only two pieces at a time. Even though the banquet hall was getting full and I only saw three people waiting tables, the person waiting on me seemed to be pleasant and in good spirits. The chef took her life story and fashioned a menu that honored her as a German born and raised in Brazil. To say that the food was delicious would be an understatement! Coordinators Olivia and Hailey made the planning a breeze, and they were so gracious in making modifications to control costs. Service during the event was stellar! The customer service was so far above and beyond my expectations. They took care of every detail and made sure everyone went through the buffet and was pleased. I didn't have time to stop that day for lunch, so I did the next time I saw they were open. I ordered a cheeseburger with just lettuce and a side of mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks are the thick battered kind full of black pepper flakes that you can get in large bags from the freezer section of most grocery stores. Walmart stores with delis sell these in their hot food bar. They hit the spot in a pinch, but there are better mozzarella sticks out there. An order of six was $6. The burger by itself without being part of a combo was around $6. I didn't love the seasoning on the patty and it was fairly strong. Still a better deal than the Quarter Pounder at McDonald's a few blocks down the road. The bars in the area have better burgers, though at a higher price. The menu at the truck is all hand written, so there's no pictures of the food and it doesn't show the prices ala carte, only as meals. The food truck menu with ala carte prices can be found on their website and I thought that was easier to use than looking at the hand written menu.
