When a "senior" stylist attempted to curl my hair and it fell flat, she said "oh wow I guess your hair doesn't hold curl. I'll take the charge off for the style," then took my cape off and walked me to the front to usher me out. I've never, ever met a hair stylist who couldn't curl hair. I was baffled. My second visit I made sure to book a different stylist, yet my experience was 10 times worse. I asked for reddish brown hair and we picked out two swatches together she said she would mix 50/50. Instead she dyed my hair BLACK. She told me she had added in a third color that we never discussed - a neutral that clearly was not only way too dark but completely canceled out the warm tones and red tones. The next day I had to spend 5 hours having her attempt to fix it. I asked her to please Just lighten it as much as possible to get it close to the color I came in with, as I did not want her touching my hair anymore. First she tried a lightening treatment that did not work. Then she did a BLEACH bath, then a toner. Hours later my hair had lightened, but completely unevenly. I left with brown hair that had streaks of black in it. Naturally, I asked for a refund for this absolute fiasco. Not only did I not get what I wanted or ask for, this girl essentially destroyed my hair, wasted my money, two days and hours of my life while I now have to live with this awful hair or pay double to find someone who will attempt to fix it for me. The owner texted me and doubled down on the fact that she would not give a refund because I had a "corrective" service done. Corrective for who?? it did not correct the fiasco that is now my hair. I am not only out time and money but you destroyed the way I look, and damaged my hair with all of the extra treatments. And you're doubling down on the fact that your policy is to not offer refunds? For a problem your stylist created in the first place because she had no idea what she was doing, then was unable to fix?? These girls can't curl hair and they can't color hair. Thank God I did not let any of them near my head with scissors. And the owner is a joke. The salon itself pretends to be high end offering organic services, yet when you walk in it's run down and in need of paint and basic styling. You're offering organic hair care but your mini fridge is stocked with Pepsi for guests? Do not go here. Do not let these girls touch your hair, and do not support an owner who refuses to do the right thing when given the opportunity.

I thought I'd give it a few weeks for the rest of the ends to fade but the roots are definitely much lighter than the rest of my hair. If I paid over $120 for a cut and one process color, I'd expect a great job at least. My hairstylist, Dasha replied and offered to correct it for free but sadly, I decided not to go back and go somewhere else. I'll have someone else correct it because I fear, it will be repeated. I feel like I finally found it! Originally, I just needed to find someone who could cut hair and be consistent. That turned out to be Rachel. I tried two other salons and a barbershop--three cuts at each place (nine cuts) and all nine cuts were wonky. Rachel fixed what the barbershop guy hacked up. Now, through about five cuts with her, she's given me a youthful style that has looked good every time! It's more than just a haircut that keeps me coming back. I wanted to get my wife something nice for her birthday, so I got her the 'Deep Release' pedicure and bought a visit for me, too, so we could do it as a couple. We got Hanna and Amanda and they were great--so friendly and fun! The sugar scrub, foot mask, massage and even polishing (yes, I did--why not?) were relaxing and enjoyable. Oh, and the wine they served us was also quite delicious! That was in fall and my wife wanted to come back, so we were able to sneak in another pedicure just before the holidays. After another enjoyable visit, we knew pedicure season would be ending, so we booked facials with Hanna and Amanda--neither of us had ever had a facial. Now we have enjoyed two really great facial visits that were great ways to find relaxation at the end of stressful work days.
