The court through out my parking ticket as the Chicago ordinance states " It is illegal to park a vehicle on any roadway if the registration plate or other registration material fails to comply with this subsection." Parking in Lot G extremely was frustrating. I contacted the parking lot by phone (after sending an email that said I should call) to clarify the bus or ATS service from the parking lot. They couldn't confirm anything. Online info was bus to ATS, then ATS to terminals "starting in June" (2022? 2023?). When I got to Lot G, the bus took us all the way to the terminals directly. On the way back the trip was worse. At the arrivals for Terminal 3, it was very dark, no signs, no persons, not sure exactly where the bus pickup was to be near door 3E. We waited 25 minutes and finally a poorly marked bus showed up. Very disappointed that after years of ATS delays, management can't find the time to post current information online and at minimum have a sign in the bus drop-off area to make it clear where to wait and pick-up frequency. Did not enjoy standing around in the cold in mid-December not knowing if a bus will perhaps show up. Not worth $15/day. read more

As others reviewers have mentioned, do not waste your time with reserving a spot ahead of time via flychicago.com. If the gates/barriers to level 4 are closed, which they often are, you are out of luck and you just paid for a parking permit you can't use. The middle paying lane when you first enter has plenty of signage indicating this is the lane you go through for "reserved" spots. Great. Did that. On the instructions on the parking permit you need to print out, it says to go through the "center right lane" for level 4. Well, guess what? Blocked off and not accessible. If you take the far right ramp, it takes you to level 3 instead. Sometimes you can enter through the "center right lane", but level 4 is still blocked and you need to go up another level. My advice to the parking personnel at O'Hare: Do not take people's money. If you want to save this "pay in advance" program, make it clear on what to do if someone shows up at the airport with paid permit in hand and the area where they paid to park is inaccessible. read more

$2 Buck Chuck...maybe afterwards but for the cost of parking and picking up someone at ORD, I'd hit it. For picking up someone at the airport, this is definitely the main method of any cheapie. For $2 you're bound to park it in the main lots of A, B and C and make your way into the Baggage Claim to basically claim your arrival. Getting inside and out of the lot is a breeze, especially considering how chaotic airports i.e. ORD can be. The signage points you in all the right areas and for the life of you, mark down where your car is parked and what Lot you are in. Parts of the floor is split up and rows are separated. Picking up a late arrival...late as in pretty much 1am late, my mind was elsewhere, the contacts were on heavy overload and that being the de-flowering of my ORD arrival experience I was a little nervous and busted out the camera phone so I could remember where the car was parked. Not so much fun coming out of the airport itself and losing the row, but if you do find yourself in such a predicament, there is a lovely attendant call booth at each elevator station that will get you some much needed assistance. Upon exiting, this was the only drawback but it made for a good laugh. The attendant could have cared less that I was there with her snap happy fingers waiting for the parking ticket, she was spitting words of death metal into the phone and I seriously would not want to have been on the other end of that soap opera. Awful customer service!!!! We paid for our parking at the pay station inside the terminal. When we tried to exit the garage the ticket reader would did not work and the gate would not go up. The cashier attendant at the ticket window was casually chatting and laughing on the phone and refused to assist us with exiting thru the gate. She said she was closed and instructed us to back-up the car and try another ticket reader. The second ticket reader was malfunctioning and would not let us exit the gate. The same attendant instructed us to back out again and try another one. The attendant displayed no customer service and refused to help us with the issue. We paid $36.00 because we were over the time it is allowed to exit the parking garage because we spent an 10 minutes trying to get assistance with the malfunctioning card reader. This has happened before in less than a month. The cashiers lack customer service skills and are not helpful! read more

Alright, not stellar- you never know if it will be full (after 8 am on Monday- Tuesday almost guaranteed)-but can be extremely quick. Try to park on the 3rd or 4th floor. No need to walk through the underground maze- you can always exit the elevator at the 4th floor and take the sky way across! Does not matter if it is United or AA- still works-Perfect- and QUICK!! Take it from a frequent traveler- there is no faster way to get in and out of ohare-Limos take forever at pick up BUT... When the garages are full, they try to send you to the 12Th ring of hell- park, take a bus to a train to the airport-parking lot and give you no notice. This only happens when I am running really late- and have a 20 minute window to check in. AND- it is not incredibly cheaper! - You can head for the international lot, more $ but quicker than the alternative. You still have to take a train, but no bus, and you are closer. read more

This is a review for the main lots A/B/C. I still remember the first time I had to park at O'Hare; I was terrified. I found it the most daunting experience, before I actually parked, that is. Parking in the main lots and getting to where you need to go could not possibly be easier. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The prices were another shock. You can actually park for only $2 (for 1 hour). It's $5 for 3 hours which is still very reasonable. Valet and day rates are something else, but they're comparable to other big cities (a la LAX). I never had trouble finding a spot and was able to park and get to the right terminal within minutes of entering the garage. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON RESERVING A SPOT with FLYCHICAGO.COM!!! Paid $17 to reserve a spot only to find out after I paid that the amount paid does not go towards the parking fee and is literally ONLY to reserve a parking spot close to the elevator and when I got to the airport for my allotted time couldn't even get to that area because it was coned off and still had to pay an additional $24 for parking. A complete and utter waste of MONEY! Management was completely useless in helping and basically told me to write customer service. What's the point of offering a service, if you can't offer the service. Worst customer service ever. Super disappointed, especially since I have to park here 3-4 times a week. After waiting for our luggage, we had a longer 30 minute wait for a shuttle bus to G lot. In the mean time 2 empty E lot shuttles passed, and terminal transfers were non-stop. When the g shuttle finally showed up,a 2nd bus was right behind!?!? read more

I'm not sure how a parking lot could have been any more disappointing. I returned to Lot F after a six-day trip with my wife to Florida in early February. The back window of my Honda Civic was shattered. The side panel was keyed heavily, bearing a message I couldn't understand. But it sent another clear message: "You will not pay much to park here ($9/day) but you may pay an extremely high price in the form of a shattered window and a ruined paint job." It was charming to drive around the suburbs at 9 p.m. on a Friday night without a back window. It was seven degrees below zero. On the bright side, no one stole anything from the car, although there really wasn't much to steal. It appears someone decided his or her baseball bat needed some practice and somehow got into an allegedly secure outdoor parking lot adjacent to the airport to take a swing at my window. read more

Economy parking Lot G is the most affordable and not inconvenient at all. I researched everything else around and you can't beat $10 a day. I was able to park close to one of three bus pickup stations. I missed the bus by seconds and only waited 2 minutes for the next. 7 minutes later I was dropped off at the tram. Again I missed it by seconds and again I waited only a few minutes for the next. Within 12 minutes I was at my terminal. I will do this every time. I don't mind the extra 20/25 minutes before and after as opposed to paying almost four times the amount to park across the street. It's free and easy and totally worth it! read more

Having lived here for the last 10 years of which 8 were employed and 2 retired, I've used most every lot at Ohare. Originally, mostly short business trips found me at the daily parking garage. It can be confusing at first. Different prices and different lots depending on which terminal you're going to. At terminal 1, just remember, floor 4 and walk across. Also, if you drive a Ford F-150 or similar truck with a Sat Radio antenna mounted on top, the first time through the gates and into the roundabouts to climb to the upper floors has one of those "we're not going to fit" moments. On my truck, it probably clears by about a 1/2 inch. Now, retired, I use parking lot E on short trips and lot F on weeklong trips. The only trouble I've had at F occurred one time early in the morning around 4:45am when the bus drove right on by Stop 4 even though i was out in front of the little glass stop waving my hands. Then, as he blew right on by, I was waving my finger. Another bus came along about 10 minutes later. Lot F has the cell phone waiting lot in front of it and also has a transfer station for the Metra. I've thought about using that for much longer trips but the schedules have not fit well with my flight times. Lot F is the cheapest lot at $9 a day. Lot E is next in line with $17 a day. The daily lot at the terminals can be expensive. read more

Main parking garage area v. Economy parking F lot (one person's experience and opinion) I think most of us can agree that O'Hare in general is not the friendliest or easiest place. For me the main problems are due to confusing, missing, or unclear signage. The parking is an example of that. I have parked in the F Lot, economy parking, several times. Each time I think: man, what a hassle. You have to find a spot to park, then either walk all the way to the tram or walk to a bus pick-up and wait 10 minutes or more for a bus to take you to the tram. Then you have to walk from the tram stop to your terminal. All in all, this can add 30 to 40 minutes to your trip time. If you have young kids it will take even longer. Add in winter cold and it can be downright miserable. You've got to be a careful planner if you want to park in the F Lot. Of course, at only $9 day it's a great deal and sometimes necessary if you're going to be gone for a while. Just be sure to build in the extra time. Recently I parked in the main parking garage area for the first time. Driving in, I noticed that the signs for the parking lot are somewhat confusing and are combined with signs for terminal information. You do need to know which terminal you're going to so you can park in the right spot. Note that the main parking garage area is referred to by O'Hare as hourly parking (I think they try to discourage folks from parking there at the daily rate). The exit for the main parking garage area was on the left side. I was leaving out of Terminal B so I headed that way. Then things quickly became confusing. There was a big parking garage ahead of me, but also an outdoor parking section, with separate gates for each. Luckily there were no cars behind me so I stopped, read the signs carefully, and realized that if I parked in the garage it would be $51-53 per day, whereas the outside parking was $31-33 per day. So I chose the outdoor, of course. There were plenty of spots and it was an easy walk to one of the elevator banks. Later I went back to the parking info on O'Hare's website (http://www.flychicago.com/OHare/EN/GettingToFrom/Parking/Parking.aspx): "The Main Parking Lot consists of a six story garage and two outdoor lots located adjacent to the Domestic Terminals (Terminals 1, 2, and 3). All levels of the Garage make up Lot A. The two outdoor lots are Lots B and C. The Main Parking Garage and lots are designed for easy walking access to the terminals. These lots are recommended for parking of short duration (less than three hours) or daily parking when close access to the terminal is preferred. These lots are not recommended for extended overnight stays. The daily rate for the first floor of the Main parking Garage is $53 on week days and $51 on weekends. The daily rate for the Main Parking Garage floors 2 through 6 and the outdoor lots (Lots B and C) is $33 on weekdays and $31 on weekends." If you're parking in the main garage for the first time, you should memorize this info. Basically, the rate depends on where you park - outdoor or indoor, and which level. None of this is explained clearly at the actual parking area. Overall I feel that the convenience of the main parking garage area was worth the extra cost BUT this is only because I was traveling with a family including little kids, which meant there was a lot of stuff to carry. No matter what, I really wish O'Hare would work on having clearer and better signs everywhere. read more

Ord is a very busy airport nonetheless they have made economy parking hassle free for travelers. We parked our car here for 5 days and had no incidents. It's totally secure. Park your car here and the shuttle takes you to the tram which leads to each terminal. Fast. read more

Hip hip horray for "F" lot! Getting into the lot was easy as pie, the shuttles seemed to come around pretty often (I was initially dismayed when I saw one right when I drove my car in the lot & knew I'd miss it and figured I'd have a wait, but then another came around within 10 minutes). It was a quick shuttle ride to the "Kiss n' Fly" lot where we were dropped off to catch the tram the rest of the way to the airport. Upon my return, it was a quick trip on the tram, and there was a shuttle waiting to take us to the lot. Pretty painless, and for $9 a day, not bad at all!! read more

O'Hare economy parking is extremely poor due to the fact that the train from lot E has been out off service. I travel two to three times per month. My typical wait for a bus back to the lot on my return trip is 20 to 30 minutes. If you have other options, I would recommend that you use them. Unfortunately, I have no other options. read more

The economy lots at O'hare are not horrible but there are a lot of private run lots about a mile away or so with free shuttle services that are close to half the price. There are at least 3 different sections of economy, sometimes I have seen the further away sections be cheaper but at other times I have not. The shuttles driving around the lots are kind of spurodic and the tram can have issues sometimes, it is sort of hit or miss. Lately I have been going to the paid private lots with the free shuttle service instead but it is up to each person to decide. read more

Been a longtime user of Chicago Authority Airport Parking, typically the economy lot G. However, in two recent trips, starting to wonder if there is a "bait and switch" for the airport authority to generate more parking revenue by steering people to higher daily parking lots E, F. Our recent trip suggest something odd is going on with "Lot Full and Temporary closed" signs on Lot G when its plain to see they have parking spots available in Lot G. So we get steered to Lot E and F at $17 per day versus $10. We'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

We reserved a space on the fourth floor of one of the covered main parking garages for $10 per day through Park Mobile, as directed from O'Hare's website. When we arrived, the ramps to get to the fourth floor were closed. We drove in and out of the structure to find a way up, but with no luck. The only open kiosk was staffed by someone who was sleeping, who was very rude to us and not helpful in any way. We ended up giving up on the reserved space in order to make our flight on time as we searched for an open spot on the second floor. Just got off the phone with Park Mobile to explain the situation and seek a refund for our reservation. They stated that because I did not cancel our it 24 hours prior to the start of our reservation, they could not issue a refund. After I explained the situation multiple times, they agreed to speak to a manager and call me back. We're going to pay slightly higher flight costs to fly out of our own city's airport in an effort to avoid traffic and high parking fees at O'Hare next time. read more

Worked for me as a charm! Lot F. For $9.00 a day, this is the best value at O'Hare. Bus/train combo is perfect. From the moment I parked to the check-in line on terminal 1 (the furthest one) it took only 20 min. I guess 30 min should be planned. Leaving the lot was also easy and fast. read more

IMO the $9/day is also high, but it is sometimes better than the alternatives, such as if your flight is not at prime time. On paper, parking lot F is fantastic, $9 per day, plenty of parking, and a bus that gets you to the tram. The potential problem (which I'm guessing not that many people had to deal with or the lot wouldn't be getting 4 and 5 ratings) is when you actually have to leave. This took me 25 minutes on the night of May 11. The lot holds hundreds if not thousands of cars, yet there is only one fully functional exit lane (there was an unused one for some sort of self check out I guess for frequent travelers), it shouldn't take a city planner to figure out this is a recipe for disaster. I wouldn't risk parking there again, it's not worth saving a few bucks to be trapped for half and hour. read more

Make sure you are not paying for your parking within 5 minutes of the time, they will find a way to hold your ticket and then make you pay the extra dollar. Sure you can call the customer service number as I did right away and I was told that they left at 2:45.
