Great place for toys and other items. I was surprised that it was actually decent priced. They have a little bit of everything and it was organized. The staff was friendly and I didn't feel pestered at all when I was there. Parking can be a pain but given it's downtown it shouldn't be a surprise. read more

Such a delightful toy store. Something for everyone. Okay, maybe I'm biased as someone who is a kid at heart, but even my wife who is far more practical fell in love with a Breyer horse that reminded her of her childhood and I was happy to get it for her. I walked into Greenville store with my Wife and Son. My son was carrying a Beetle (yes a live one, he is 4) and we were told that the beetle couldn't be in the store. I couldn't imagine a Toy store that wouldn't let a child walk around with a beetle in his hand. Let alone we were coming in to buy the insect cases that Toy stores sell. I can only imagine if they saw the Roly poly in his pocket. Meanwhile they allow Dogs in. Just an overall pathetic store with super left workers. read more

Neat little toy store in downtown Greenville. They have toys for all ages and board games like Catan! Great selection of stuffed animals, dolls and legos. The aisles were pretty tight, but everything was tidy and well-stocked. The prices were very reasonable. read more

HEY OP! WHERE'S ANDY? I love the name of this store because when you think of the origin of this name, it evokes nothing but good memories. For those of you who don't know, OP was the cutest kid to every grace the television screen in "The Andy Griffith Show", which is now in syndication. It is a great family show and this is a great family store because it carries something for the entire family: toys, stuffed animals, board games, building sets, puzzles and card games. No toy store would be complete without the Thomas the Tank Engine table that was set up in the back of the store. This would be the first item that my kids were drawn to when they were little. This store reminds me of those trips to the downtown toy shop. Today the owner had his young granddaughter working in the shop and she did a very good job of ringing up and packaging our purchases. A toy store that reminds me of the good ole days. It is definitely a fun spot to check out while in downtown Greenville,SC. I would have put five stars, but the customer service tends to be choppy. Some days it is great others not so great. They sit behind the counter and never come to Check on you. If you want help you have to walk up to them. Overall, a great place. I want to like O P Taylor's - I really do! They do a good job with their product selection, but due to a staff that doesn't seem to care about their toys or their customers, I find the experience totally lacking. That said, it's a stop my kids always want to make when we're downtown. I don't feel much compulsion to support them with my wallet though. read more
