This store has some of the rudest and most incompetent phone shop staff I've ever dealt with. And that's saying a lot when you live in London.
I bought an expensive phone and the guy dealing with me couldn't be more rude and disinterested. He couldn't do his job properly and kept wrongly advising me on how to set up my phone. He also kept wandering off into the back room instead of helping me while I was clearly struggling. I also needed Wi Fi to set up the phone, but he didn't even bother telling me the Wi Fi password. At one point, when he was sat in front of me, he started scrolling through his own phone and laughing to himself. I honestly couldn't tell if he was low-intelligence, stoned or perhaps had special needs. His behaviour was extremely peculiar.
I encountered various issues while setting up my phone, and had to wait ages for this staff member to return from the backroom. I felt like I was doing his job for him as I ended up problem-solving several of these issues myself.
Even after leaving the shop, I still had issues with the phone set-up, and it's taken me 3 additional days to solve them with the help of 02's online chat.
Management at The Strand branch desperately need to examine their calibre of staff and make some drastic improvements. read more
