I was talking about attending this New Years Celebration for over a week. My friend sent me the information about this event, it included the times, locations, and who'd be performing. I'm not sure if Mr. Kirk Franklin was a special guest but we did see him in person and he's very friendly, and rather handsome looking. He was dapper as usually. Now back to this phenomenal event. Chandler Moore has such a great voice. Everyone sounded amazing. I was late so I couldn't really take photos' how I normally do. I had to part in lot E. They had shuttles every few minutes picking up people. This was very accommodating for everyone big and small. The seating areas were packed. The service was excellent. For months, as we watched civil unrest across the U.S., Dr. Tony Evans preached and prayed about Kingdom Voting and what it means to have righteousness AND justice. His messages were complete with guidance and hope. Instead of a cultural pandemic, Dr. Tony Evans encouraged us all, to be stronger together and build unity across ALL races. It is very possible. The 290 Electoral Votes announced yesterday, was so profound. More than five MILLION people tipped the scale! The people have spoken. We want change for the better. I've attended Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship for over 12 years now. I keep going back for this one simple thing that happened my first time I visited the church. I was crying and a lady in the parking ministry reached out and was so kind and assisted me with where to park and how to get in the sanctuary to hear the sermon. For over 12 years, Mary continues to serve in the parking ministry and has not EVER seen me without making me feel loved and seen. Most all of my experiences have been like this, just being loved on through the bad and the good. I am grateful to have healed and grown to the place of now giving that back to others each week. We were traveling from Round Rock to watch the Ohio State game. This is THE most friendliest church. Right when we walked in we were greeted. Every 5 steps people were saying Hi. Even in the restroom people were chatting it up with me. Dr. Tony Evans is one of the lost biblical based gifted preacher we have ever heard. He could preach for an hour and it only feels like 20 min just because he is so intriguing and spirit filled. Wish this church was in Round Rock. read more

Great church, pastor Evans is awesome, the only issue i have is i drive almost 1 1/2 hours every Sunday to get to church before 7:00 am and the section i like sitting in there is almost always books, purses, etc. lining up the seats for people who always get to church late, i don't think it is right for people to try holding seats for people who cannot get up on time and get too church early enough to get their own seats, hopefully something will get done to stop people from doing this every Sunday.... read more

I couldn't allow my younger children at the time, and myself to be short changed by all that God's Kingdom has to offer. the LOCATION: So-I prayed and was lead to to take a leap of faith and step out of my comfort zone(..and boy did I) Well, initially the setting of (Mega Church) can be intimidating, especially for this small town gal like me. The drive hasn't always been easy for me either (1-way 42 miles) Sundays can be a 40 minute drive and Wednesday an hour and a half (that's on getting there). I live in Far North Dallas and the is located church is in South Dallas- well folks some things in life are well worth a sacrifice. [Even when gas prices went up, I cut out other things before giving up my drive]. CONGREGATION/GUESTS/HOLIDAY GOER's Don't get me wrong when it comes to 'church folks'..(well you know the story, it was a little different for me I grew up in my great grandfather's church, and most were all related)but back to church folks ..they all act funny sometimes and some may not even be there for the true experience..But its not about them...(you can easily get wrapped up in a MEGA CHURCH if your mind and heart aren't right)-There's a Cliche everywhere, even in church. I'm not perfect, just perfecting so truly, when your MIND * BODY and SOUL are geared towards The LORD, nothing else matters but The LORD. The majority are your Christian brothers and sisters that will make you feel at home. Small Groups- GREAT WAY TO CONNECT and are geared to help you connect with others in your residential/ work area martial status, gender, etc. THE EXPERIENCE: Music: Geared toward worship..not just a song to sing. Anthony Evans will appear throughout times and lead worship too. through Prayer: The church is a praying church, Pastors, parishoners, even me- some like to do so privately, but you experience an outward pour of affectionate prayer for what ever your circumstance might be. through Lessons: The sermons are tied to a series-(which are right on key) life changing episodes (that are sure to work you up, work God in and through you and whatever it is out of you) .....trust me you will experience it more than one. My children and I had visited this church a few months ago for the 1st time and we really enjoyed the sermon. The children's ministry was awesome and I asked my children what they had learned and they were very thorough in explaining that to me and had told me that they want to go back next Sunday. We are currently a few hours away but are looking to move to the area March 2020. Everyone is friendly also. As for hearing Pastor Tony Evan's Preach, he is incredible and I feel God's presence every time. I even downloaded all his apps. The only thing that I wish, is that they would have a youtube live stream during Sunday and Wednesday services. That way when I am in another state of out of town I can here him live. This is a really Beautiful church! However if you are looking to get in and out this will not be a easy task. They have three church services to help with the many members. Wish I lived in Dallas, I would Sunday and Wednesday here. Husband and I visited yesterday, and the members were so welcoming, the message by Dr. Evans educational and Spirit filled, he really knows how to get a message across. His message are real and pertain to every day life, and he speaks plainly and directly, making you get honest about yourself. Visiting this church was on my bucket list, and it won't be the last time I come here, to worship, learn, pray and fellowship with other believers. I loved it. I am not the holiest of holiest, however, I know a good church when I see one! Dr. Tony Evans is one the best teaching pastors around. His sermons are always very powerful. He uses no dramatics in delivering his sermon. He does talk about politics nor does he focus on the importance of giving all your money to the church. The congregation is massive and for the most part mixed. However, they are very friendly and welcoming. They have a school and a daycare; both are very affordable for private schools. The church does a lot in the community. They offer adult ESL courses, weight loss events, women's and men's retreats, fun stuff for the kids on holidays, homeless outreach as well as teenage pregnancy outreach. I know sometimes people are discouraged at the size and popularity of a church.. However, this church is awesome. The only downside is parking. If you're not there early it's a wrap. You have to park about a block away in a vacant lot or in the Minyards parking lot and walk or watch their shuttle. But the experience is soo worth it. read more

Funny how you can give offering 24/7 but people asking for communion can't get it even in the hallway. You make sure of the money but not the people somethings wrong with that. Is this a money organized organization or church. I came to church with a really heavy heart & deep sadness. Now today is first Sunday so communion is being served. My mother & husband were in there & saved me & my son a seat while we were parking. By the time we made it in the shut the doors on us but that wasn't the bad part. There were 2 women with the communion cart out there. I told them I needed it because that what I came for today. I've been coming here now for 5 years now. Then when I get in I asked the ushers & one of the deacons I needed one & the situation. They still said no like I didn't matter people come to church for the word healing and prayers. You all have forgotten about the up lifting of the people. read more

Pastor Evans presents great sermons. Services on Sunday are awesome. The large congregation isn't overwhelming (I've found many join but then leave) especially given the two services on Sunday. The problem is a small group of people who have been with Dr. Evans since the beginning, run the ship. Their loyalty is commendable, their quick and harsh judgement of seekers sends folks running away not only from OCBF, but church period. Be VERY careful who you become friends with or groups you join. Best to attend on Sunday, then go home. Even if you want to serve or volunteer, find somewhere else. The harsh judgements, lack of 'love one another', the cliques (one has a disagreement with you the others ostracize you), and be very careful about members asking for donations to their private ministries...some do have wonderful ministries, some it's just a way to get money for personal use... you don't have to pay for others to pray for you or visit when in the hospital. Those are things people just do... no need to collect thousands tax free monthly for being kind. Dr. Evans sermons can be downloaded and his books and cd's are available on Amazon. I haven't read or heard anything that wasn't excellent. And the price is very reasonable. So great services on Sunday, Dr. Evans is increadible. Just be careful of who you associate with or those offering to 'pray with yoh'. If there is s request for money along with that prayer, turn and walk away read more

I would not recommend this church to anyone based on the experience my husband and I had this past Sunday 5/25/2014. We had a blow out and had to park a couple of blocks from the this church between 12 and 1pm. My husband tried to change the tire but the tire jack we had was not working properly so I walked to this church to seek help while he continued to see what could be done to get the car back on the road. I was greeted by cold staring eyes and scowls when I walked into OCBF. I was dressed in jeans and a shirt but the point of my visit was for help and not a fashion show. You would assume that a church of this size would surely have a tire jack to help someone in need. I was told by security that they didn't have one available which I knew to be untrue. To make matters worse is that my husband and I were with our 1 year old son. After this unbelievable ordeal I contacted my brother who lived in Frisco. As we waited for his arrival, member after member simply looked at us and walked to their cars that were parked on the same street and didn't do as much as asked if we needed any help. It was heartbreaking because I was born and raised in this area before moving to Arlington. There was only one elderly gentleman who assisted us who actually acted like he learned something from church. He had a disability but yet went out his way to helped us. I would never in a million years recommend this church to my friends or my enemies. read more
