My husband and I have moved 15 times so this was not my first rodeo. When choosing a moving company, you want to concern yourself with how the movers handle problems such as broken items or broken promises. MM did not have any negative feedback on Yelp or Google. Obviously I considered the fact that they seem rather new which might account for the lack of complaints but also that they are working hard to build their online rapport. So, I crossed my fingers and booked MM through Yelp. Alex responded to my inquiry and agreed via Yelp. A few days later, he emailed me a Docusign estimate which did not require a deposit, another advantage over competitors. On the morning of the move, Richard called to give me an accurate ETA which was much appreciated. MM showed up with 4 men and TWO trucks. I was already impressed. Richard, Q, Dre, and Andre got started immediately wrapping every single piece of furniture in blankets. We lived in a very challenging, 4-story condo but this did not discourage their effort or attitude. We have lived in several different condos and the old movers took doorframes off, put holes in the sheet rock, and damaged the furniture all while complaining how much it sucked. Mountain Movers were courteous and professional and DID NOT damage ONE THING nor did they make any damage to either property. This is HIGHLY unusual as almost every move we've used movers there was at least some damage. Movers in the past also required that we leave a 5 star review before they would give us a "discount". Mountain Movers is a diamond in the rough; they were EXTREMELY affordable AND the best movers we have ever used in our 15 moves we've done over the years. We are so grateful and thankful to them for their professionalism and excellent service. Not only were these guys free for a Tuesday move but they were only going to charge me $85/hour. Yes!! You read that right. $85/hr for 2 movers and like an 80 ft moving truck---(don't think it was really 80 ft but you catch my drift...The truck was big as hell!) I corresponded with Alex regarding all of the moving details. Super patient, professional and thorough. He sent me over a service agreement to sign and I was booked---no deposits or anything. I had a scheduling conflict and had to delay my move one day. "No worries, see you on Wednesday!" Alex exclaimed in a text to me. Flexibility is an understatement! My move time was at 9AM on a Wednesday. The guys were at my door at 9:02AM. That's on-time in my book because they had to get through a security gate as well as 3 flights of stairs. The fellas were masked up due to COVID-19 and called me by name when speaking to me. Talk about stellar customer service! They are located in Arlington but have no problems traveling to Dallas. And they don't charge a mileage fee--nor a stair fee, folks! They do, however, charge a service fee of $65--which I certainly didn't mind paying. These gentleman were the truth!! They charged us an additional $1500 ,more than they said they would. They broke numerous things ,antiques , things that were my grandmothers, my great grandmothers, my mothers, my aunts, etc. They don't know how to move ,they don't know how to pack things . Who packs plants in a box tapes it up and doesn't write on it what it is? They do !!! A few of the employees were rude, and would whisper . They are very unprofessional. Save your money Please. Find someone else . You do not even want to hire these people. There's a reason they are so cheap. I found out to late.
