Moved to Waxahachie/Maypearl area in July. Contracted Salamander Waste for trash pickup. They stated in their trash pick up all boxes have to be in the can. Roger that! Have been doing this since July. Monday did the same thing, the driver literally put our boxes in the ditch. Called the main office and asked why this happened and if they can get out to get the boxes out then why not throw them in the truck? Latasha at the main office said that simply was not true until I told her well I have a photo taken on Saturday of the can (cleaned our garage and the can happened to be in the picture). She then proceeded to tell me that the lid had to be closed, okay that's not stated in any correspondence ever sent to us, her response was, "Well we changed the rules and I forgot to tell your neighborhood".?????? So I received a text with the "new" rules and LaTasha at the office told me in a snippety tone, "if we were not happy they would refund us any services not used". That is how Salamander Waste treats their customers with uppity rude service. They aren't the only trash pick up and from the responses in my neighborhood post (Cross Fence) everyone is turning to Frontier Trash pickup. Looks like New Year and new trash service will be on its way. Salamander Waste you can do better. Choose wisely my friends. Cheaper isn't always better. read more

We have had Residential service outside of waxahachie for over 2.5 years now. They've done nothing but increase their service charges. They had a very difficult time processing payments in the beginning. They charged me over $100 dollars in addition to our service charges for the first few months for the full price of purchasing our trash bin and then stole it when our service was canceled. I suppose this is a very small family business, which I usually try and support but these owners made it very personal instead of professional in our last few conversations. We only changed service when they kept wanting to over charge us to empty our own very small secondary trash bin. Not a great experience at all, do business at your own risk. ​ read more

I just moved to Waxahachie...and had a lot of trash and boxes that I needed to get rid of. I noticed a truck with a trailer with the salamanders name on the side of the trailer. I asked the gentleman if he would take some trash that I had and I would pay him cash on the spot to help me out. The gentleman asked for my address and said he would be right there. We loaded up the trash and I was thankful for the help, I tried to pay him cash for the help and he said " that's not why I did this...I just wanted to help you out". I insisted for him to take the cash and he refused. I told him I wouldn't tell the owner...just to take it. The gentleman laughed and said " I am the owner...it's ok...." Nicest guy around.
