Fun track with a great clubhouse and food. And what a value at about $45 for 18 with a cart! The holes here are very straightforward with just a few blind shots. There are two courses, the Executive (par 3) course and the Championship course. The Championship is best if you want to use all of your clubs but the Exec is nice and short for a quick round. read more

I was there last evening for a family wedding. The servers were on point and very professional. I had a chicken breast that was pounded quite thin, breaded and served over mashed potatoes and covered with vodka/tomato sauce. So often chicken breasts can be so dry, but because this chicken was more like a schnitzel pounded thin and covered in sauce. My husband had a pork chop. It was two bones thick and very very flavorful. It had a cranberry sauce over the top, and he devoured the whole thing. The staff was outstanding in regards to the wedding party. The bride was as cool as a cucumber. Nobody was stressing out at all. It ran right on schedule, with nobody complaining at all. Excellent food, great bar tenders, and the room looked fantastic. I haven't any idea what the final tab was at the end of the night, but it was totally worth every penny. Good Job Oak Glen!!! read more

My first experience at Oakglen was very good. The course was in wonderful shape and the weather was about as perfect for golf as you can get. The greens were tough with many pin placements being on a slant or in a peninsula of a very wavey, non-traditional, non-round or non-oval green. The sand was very rough and grainy but I did have probably my best out-of-the-sand shot I've ever had here. The signature hole might be #10 with water on the left and a second shot over the creek to the green. Golfing in mid afternoon it was fun to see many 'regular' groups golfing, eating, and socializing together. We played 18 holes in about 3.5 hours which is faster than most public courses. Nice afternoon and I'd definitely come back to play again. read more

I live in NY but grew up in nearby Mahtomedi, and we come back every summer to visit family and friends, and always play Oak Glen with my brother. It's always a pleasant experience, but this year the course was in spectacular shape. Staff is always pleasant - place is clean and welcoming. We'll be back next year! read more

I was at the range. Literally just saw an employee come and yell at family with little ones. Obviously there was a mistake but she handled it really poorly. Asked them to leave. Rented the electric bikes so cool, so convenient Was nice not being stuck in a cart with another person and had to follow him to his ball and then we had to go to my ball it was nice you could just break off our own electric bikes and go to her boss I can't wait to go here again its so awesome, The course is beautiful and well-maintained it's funny I seen a picture of one of the trash cans overflowing it's impossible to keep up with all of you drunks read more

I visited Oak Glen yesterday. The folks in the pro shop were great. The course was in pretty good shape. But this is where my day took a turn. Out on the course, the beverage card stopped by our group. They didn't take cards at the cart unless you started a tab. No problem. I gave my card to the woman working the cart. We proceeded on our round. The second cart came around, and we were able to add additional drinks after my round I go out to close my tab, And they can't find my card. Their system shows that she logged my tab so clearly she had my card and brought it in at some point. They checked everywhere but my credit card is nowhere to be found. I locked my card as soon as it was clear. I visited this course as a part of a long weekend and I was over 100 miles away from my house. It's 6 PM on Saturday, so obviously banks are closed. A woman introduced herself as one of the general managers made a comment about well sometimes things just happen. I thought that was a poor attitude. I eventually leave, and about 30 to 90 seconds after leaving I get a notification that the bank blocked a transaction by the golf course. They tried to run my tab after I left after losing my credit card. It really rubbed me the wrong way. I noticed that about two dozen cars were in the register. So my advice, be very careful with trusting them with your card. If you choose to go there bring cash. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place, unless you want to play a six hour round. They allow six-somes with spectators and don't care about pace of play. Tee boxes slope and are torn up. They have the driving rage placed with three holes surrounding, so the fairways are riddled with range balls! read more

This course is always in great shape. It provides a good mix of short par 5's with some longer par 3's. There are some target holes and holes where you can unleash the beast. Very friendly staff. read more

Everyone who works there is disrespectful it's unprofessional....I got kicked out of my friends celebration of life bc of them. I do not recommend this place at all, especially events there the manager and bartenders are extremely rude never seen anything like it in my life. read more

If you want to wait 5 minutes between shots and 15 minutes on each tee box , then this is the course for you. We waited at least 20 minutes on the 16th tee box, and played the hole in less then 10 minutes. Tee times are to close together and no ranger to keep the pace up. i have played there many times and this is the slowest course I have played, I keep giving it chances, but it only seems to be getting worse. No more chances. Will never play again. read more

We had a reservation to use the golf board scooters - special occasion celebrating a birthday. They called shortly before our tee time to tell us the boards were double booked and that we would not be able to use them. When I booked the reservation I had called to follow up ensuring we had the boards reserved. Poor execution on their end and unfortunately a poor experience for us that will be shared with friends in the golf community. read more

Oak Glen...a few nice holes wedged into a residential neighborhood...so go to the bathroom before your round and prepare to "camel" your bladder. Course is rather tight, and numerois holes where you're better off wearing a helmet as there's a shit pile of "kill spots" on the course. Be prepared to duck and cover for 18 holes! read more

Solid Golf Course, Great Conditions, Great Staff! Some of the best greens in the area, one of the Best Values in the entire metro.

The course is easy to find and was in very good condition. The course itself, however, was not very player friendly. Just about every hole was either a blind tee shot, a dog leg, or both. Houses line the holes and are very much in play. The overall layout of the course leaves a lot to be desired. I'd say the better experience would be Loggers Trail up the road. read more

I came here visiting from out of town and I was VERY disappointed this time!! It was a Tuesday late morning and there were maybe a total of 8 groups on the 18 hole course and we waited on each hole. No ranger in sight to keep the play moving ahead of us. Also, there were maintenance workers all around which was very distracting! One was on the green blowing sand off right in the middle of our play, another hole a worker raking the bunkers and another mowing around us. Hole 10 was filled with range balls. So much for a relaxing round. I went in and asked the gentleman behind the counter where the manager was and he said he went home already. I told him our experience and he said sorry we are short on staff because they are all on summer break. Maybe think about hiring retirees during this time??!! read more

Corporate ownership is ruining this course. When it was family owned the staff were nice, course was in excellent condition, and you were treated like a customer. That's not the case anymore. I guess I understand, you have to make money. But you will no longer make any more off me. read more

Matt Huth was awesome. We had our wedding at Oak Glen this past June and I am so thankful. Everything turned out perfect. To be honest, I was a little concerned after our rehearsal, it wasn't the prettiest sight (but aren't they all)? However, when the big day came it was PERFECT. The communication from start to finish was great. My calls were either answered or returned quickly. It was an absolutely GORGEOUS venue. All of the staff that worked there were so incredibly nice and were there to answer questions or help with anything at all times. The grass was green, the sky was blue, the pictures looked great in this setting. I would highly recommend Oak Glen to anyone having an outdoor wedding. You won't be disappointed.
