But showers, two buildings, a 'pro shop', ice, water, multiple bathrooms, good courts and nets, lights, a huge backboard, bleachers with shade, grandstands for a single court...are almost unheard of for public courts. Even the parking was excellent for being so centrally located. I have nothing bad to say about this facility at all - granted, I played a tournament hosted here with a single entry fee, no hourly fees. Apparently it's $7.25 per person per hour during prime time.

Many moons ago, this area just had the tennis courts and one or two tables. Now, it has become a nifty hangout spot for the tennis players and others in the area. In between both tennis courts, the park sports benches, picnic tables, a small children's playground and smaller tennis court. There are signs announcing tennis tournaments, which have been played there and plenty of sitting. So much seating, in fact, that may have been created specifically for the tournaments in the signs. There is a clubhouse, though at the time of my visit, it was closed. However, there is an attached porch that has an immense amount of picnic benches and what seemed to be a water and ice machine. This must be some active park during tournaments. It also seems that, at some point, food or bevarages are served there. All in all, the place looks great, whether one plays tennis or sits and enjoys.

They also have vending machines that' allow you to buy water or Gatorade for 1.75$ they take card and cash! Also, something I figured out half way through the match is you can sit on either side of the fences to sit closer to the person you know playing.

My kiddo has been to 2 camps this year. Both times, she almost didn't want to leave. That shows you how much these kids enjoy being at the ranch. Her game has definitely improved and is more confident on the court. Add to that the friends she has met from all over. I hear the food was pretty good as well. Yes, the accommodation could use a little sprucing up, but they are clean and safe. I have to say Fossil Phil and his team are an awesome group. My daughter is already looking forward to attending her next camp.

Located just outside of San Antonio in New Braunfels, I got some serious Dirty Dancing vibes with the scenery and amenities. The conference room was large enough to fit all of my students and the specific seating required for our retreat purpose. The courts, basketball and tennis, were great for team bonding and competition! The food was amazing! I enjoyed pasta night and the savory breakfast tacos. But my favorite meal was the salmon, which was actually my first time trying! It was sweet and tangy, but not as flaky as other fish. The snacks were also amazing, hummus, cookies, tea, lemonade, veggies, so many options. Really well done! The condos/cottages were very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, I slept so well! Overall super great experience!

Extremely disappointed with our experience. We prepaid for my son's tennis lessons, and not once,…read morebut twice, we showed up at the scheduled time only for the coach to never arrive. There was no communication, no courtesy call or message, and he completely ignored our calls and texts both times. It's incredibly frustrating to get a child excited for a lesson, make the time to be there, and then be left waiting with no explanation. Being unreliable is one thing, but taking payment in advance and then disappearing without any communication is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this coach based on our experience. If you value professionalism, reliability, and respect for your time, I would look elsewhere.

As I am not from the city and work full time, it can be difficult to meet new people and make…read morefriendships. After my husband and I moved to the Sonterra area, we explored the option of joining the Club of Sonterra as it would allow us to have a place to workout plus play tennis and meet new people. After being members approximately six months, we have utilized our membership to the fullest degree and have enjoyed being members. As for the gym, it is outdated and small, but it does have all machines that one would need. There are treadmills, elliptical machines, and bikes as well as mats to do crunches or other floor activities. There are also a myriad of weight machines plus free weights to aid in all weight lifting goals. The free weights have a variety of weights for both light and heavy hitters. My favorite part of the gym is the ladies locker room which has both a hot tub and a steam room, which are great after a long workout. I would say the gym is overall fine but nothing to brag about. The majority of the time, you can catch us at the tennis courts. We both play in the in-club leagues plus we also play together in a mixed doubles league as well on week nights. The leagues exude comradely, and we have been able to make many friendships through this. So much so that we also joined USTA weekend leagues with many friends we have met. There are many tennis courts, so it is usually easy to squeeze into a court albeit there have been times when it is full. There is also a stellar brand new ball machine that is a great companion for practice but it does cost extra to utilize. As for the food, we sometimes have an after match snack or meal. The food is not five star but elevated quality to fast food. I love the salad, sweet potato fries, and mozzarella sticks while my husband swears by the chicken tenders basket. Their finer dining restaurant is okay, but the price is steep and I prefer others restaurants so we have only been there once. The Tennis bar as well as the bar in the main clubhouse are also great, and the price point is great considering. We sometimes grab a drink after evening matches with friends, and it is a great place to socialize outside around the Tennis area. The bar in the club house is nicer and has a large selection. We have gone to a few mixers here, and it is great space. I cannot attest to golf as we don't play and haven't been to that area. In summary, we enjoy being members and have utilized the various areas to the fullest!

It's…read moreran by our HOA so it's for our neighboring residence and their guests only during their normal business hours. There's plenty to do here for everyone such as swimming, the playground, basketball courts, and the tennis courts. The area is very clean as always and is not very crowded, except during the summer around the pool. Sometimes there's a lifeguard on duty, but don't depend on them as a safeguard for your little ones. They do have a separate area for the smaller kids to play in their own pool and a larger one for the grown-ups. There is no doggy park, unfortunately =(
