I would like to begin by saying our driver was amazing and any star rating on here is only due to him. He provided us a fantastic ride despite the very disrespectful service we received from the ladies that work here. When we booked, it stated max capacity on the boat is 15 people. It did not make it clear that one of the 15 includes the driver. We booked this for a bachelorette party and when we arrived is when we learned we had to send someone home because there wasn't enough room on the boat (due to the captain being included in the 15 capacity max). We had a friendly conversation with a male worker when we returned from our ride and we expressed our disappointment in the communication of the boat capacity and requested a refund for the 1 rider. We did receive a refund which is great however the ladies that work here are disrespectful and commented to the bride when she was receiving the refund that "you have to assume that since you're from the Midwest you would know that the captain was included." Up until this point we had a fun time on the boat and a great conversation with the male worker as we figured everything out, but the comment from the young girl at the end was very unprofessional, disrespectful, and horrible way to end our experience at Oak Hill Marina. read more

Oak Hill Marina My wife Dara and I walked into Oak Hill Marina last fall with absolutely no intention of buying a boat from them. We had previously determined to purchase a competitor's boat. I knew very little about Regal Boats except my neighbor, who I truly respect, just bought one. After a short walk through a Regal on display, it became apparent to me that maybe I should pump the brakes on our purchase. I did a deep dive into Regal. It was obvious that the build quality was equal or exceeded their competition. Customer satisfaction is among the highest in the industry. I also noticed Oak Hill's boats were more than adequately powered. I grew up on the lake and there is nothing that kills water sports more than an under powered boat. Also, a heavily loaded, underpowered boat can have difficulty getting up on plane. With Regal's FasTrac Hull that is never an issue. After looking at multiple dealers, it became apparent to me that there was a plethora of new, in stock, under-powered boats being sold in the lake's region. As a dentist I tend to over study everything. I certainly did that with this boat purchase. One evening I was reading about Regal Boats and their history. The company is family owned and I understand carries no debt. I was reading this at a time when some manufacturers were going out of business. The boat I owned had been orphaned. The solvency and stability of Regal Boats matters when you're looking for parts and need support. All this regarding Regal Boats definitely factored into my decision-making process but one thing absolutely stood out. Regal as a company is distinctly different than the rest of boating industry. The company was started by a man who dedicated his company to honoring God. The company was founded on Christian family values. I remember thinking... Regal Boats are absolutely the best-looking boats on West Okoboji (so stated by a competitor's staff ...and my wife), possibly the best built, Oak Hill has an excellent reputation, and the manufacturer prioritizes family values. I wondered why would I even consider buying anything but a Regal? I bought the Regal and I could not be more confident in my purchase. Do not use Oak Hills Marina for any service needs. We purchased a jet ski from Oak Hills Marina. The jet ski did not seem to be functionally properly so took in to Oak Hills Marina for repair. Oak Hills stated the engine needed to be rebuilt. We rebuild our engine not once, but twice and the engine is still malfunctioning. After they refused to stand behind their work, and fix the engine for the third since they were incompetent the first two times, we picked up our jet ski and they had the engine I parts in rubbermaid totes!!!! We paid over $4600 to Oak Hills and still do not have a jet ski that runs and currently have the jet ski engine in parts. Stay clear of Oak Hills if you want a running machine after they touch it. read more

**Beware of vertically impaired Scuba Steve at rental** Rented a boat for our daughters birthday from 10-12. Short and sweet as younger kids don't stay focused long. They called a few days prior to ask. If we would come earlier as they have another group at 12. I let them know unfortunately we are driving a few hour that morning to get to Okoboji so 10 would be the earliest. We arrived around 9:30 checked in, signed all the papers and waited for them to pull the boat around while we waited for the rest of our party. By 10 everyone had arrived and we went out had a great time. We make our way back and from the Marina "Scuba Steve" is yelling to hurry up we are late (11:57). The boat parks at the dock at 12. "Scuba Steve" proceeds to inform everyone we are late and grab your stuff and get off the boat they have another group waiting. To the point of beyond a**h***. I informed him we are not late and the shouldn't had booked it that close to each other. He goes on with his little power trip and we all just end up walking away. I had a notification from my bank app for the gas fill up stamped 12:05. So they got my card filled the tank and charged me by 12:05 and claimed we arrived late. read more

We had an amazing time! We came with a bachelorette group. Heath had us set up and helped us take our HEAVY cooler on the boat. Chad was our driver and was the best driver we could have asked for and had many recommendations on things to do, places to eat, and some fun facts. They definitely try to run the tourists out of money... my good friend had a jet ski that need a new water pump and they told him that he needed a new motor and that the jet ski was shot but after taking it to a local mechanic he replaced the water pump and it runs better than ever and another friend of mine brought his jet powered boat to them because it was acting weird and at the time he didn't know that it would suck up seaweed and he literally watched them pull the seaweed out and then charged him $700 for 5 min of pulling out some seaweed... absolutely ridiculous I suggest going to a different marina. read more

Rented a pontoon during our family reunion over the 4th of July 2018 . When it was time to pick it up at 1pm for some reason the pontoon wasn't ready to go, so at 1:30 we finally hit the water We had young children and specifically asking for a pontoon with a canopy we decided shortly after hitting the water to unfold the canopy to protect us from the sun. We realized that after being told the former renter not only hit a bridge with the canopy he totally busted it and then it took us another 25 minutes to safely store the useless canopy. So after a short time my daughter decided it was to hot to be on the water without a canopy and decided the grandkids need to get off so we dropped grandma and the grandkids off at Bracco's and after a couple more hours we decided to return the pontoon early and informed the staff that we were disappointed that the canopy was busted and they failed to inform us when we picked it up, we were pretty much told "sucks to be you" We are very disappointed! read more

I've rented kayaks from Oak Hill for the past several years. It's been a wonderful experience! I'm handicapped, so the staff has been more than helpful in getting me in and out of the water. They have always greeted me like a long lost friend. I highly recommend Oak Hill Marina! read more
