    It was terrible I got bullied the first day as well the staff there isn't good I already learned half of this things and they act "better"

Today, my children witnessed and video recorded a yard duty/proctor harass a group of students that were in line for the blood drive. Ms. Kathy asked them to step out of line, and to"come here," as she put it! She wouldn't advise them on what the issue was, then they were directed to the office and humiliated and physically searched by a dean, Sabrina Merrick, because they were out of class! This dean even insinuated that the students were acting as if they were on drugs, because they were upset for being targeted and harassed! Understandably so!! As a parent, I was quite disgusted to hear of their rude behavior as administrators of children. The incompetence of these adults and their inability to show human decency is astounding. I also was advised that the young ladies are being targeted and forced to change their clothing if this mentioned tyrant proctor, Ms. Kathy feels that a crop top, tank top, tube tops which are appropriate for 90+degree weather. Mind you there are students on the website and on campus as we speak wearing tight fitted short shorts, pink leotard with no straps just today! I will be taking further action as I find it necessary to provide the video of this incident to their parents. How Disappointing it is to see our educational staff and their bitter tyrant yard duty conduct themselves in this manner and talk to the students as if they're not worthy of respect. Our children and families deserve better representation and respect from an atmosphere that is teaching our children life skills. The Hatred is felt by the students and now observed by the adults.

A child works hard to make good choices despite circumstances out of their control then a staff like mz Conner takes it away unnecessarily. My daughter has worked hard to go to State Skills competition for the 3rd year in a row hoping to gain achievements that will help her with future education and career goals. She was given pizza to eat with no alternative choice and no option to go get her own food. And it made her nauseous. The School District is aware of her allergies and food sensitivities. Her allergies are no longer as severe as when she was younger, but they're still present and the school is aware. They've had documentation of that since she started at Pinon Hills Elem in Kindergarten. The skills staff were also aware because she was sick on the previous year's trip for the exact same thing. They acused her of throwing up even though no one actually saw her vomit. No student, teacher, CTE Coordinator, arena staff, or stranger saw her vomit! No one asked her. Mz Connor jumped to conclusions and over reacted and had her removed from the trip. No one would even listen to my daughter when she tried to explain over and over she wasn't sick. She even broke down crying and they still wouldn't hear her. Once staff realized they overreacted, they tried to justify making her leave for the safety of the other students on the trip. But how is her nausea due to eating dairy risk anyone's safety but her own? Where was the concern for my daughter's safety? When they figured out they messed up again, their concern was only about damage control, and making justification to protect the school. No concern for my daughter. Now she not only missed the experience of this trip but she also missed the opportunity to turn her hard work into an achievement that will help with college admissions and scholarship applications effecting her future. She had no fever, and despite the accusations she was not vomiting, she was coherent and present and behaving normally, she had no other symptoms. She shouldn't have had to give up this opportunity simply because Ms Connor had the title of CTE Coordinator and needed to flex on a child. Connor overreacted without even having the intellect to assess, ask questions, or even see my daughter for herself. She made the decision without ever having seen my daughter with her iwn eyes. Then when I was angry she called a principal who would rather agree than put any effort at all into considering what's best for the student. I wish I could say this surprises me, but this is not the first time Mz Hansen has shown this trait. It's not even the first time in the last 30 days. Shes shown this again and again. Im posting here because when you go to Snowline Joint Unified School District to be heard, your told the principal has to address the issue and the Superintendent rarely if ever overturns the principals decision. That is a direct quote from the Superintendent secretary just last month when this same school tried forcing my son to take a class that he didnt want to take, and didnt need credit for to graduate high school but was a wasted grade so it would effect his transcripts and his awarded academic scholarships. No wonder the Principal doesnt put in the effort to consider the best interests of the students, no one will disagree with her decisions. I realize staff are humans and can make mistakes too, but not once did this person take accountability or try to make it right. And why would she, when the principal won't put in any effort and the district backs her up. We try to teach our children about integrity, accountability, perseverance, and the importance of hard work and making good choices for their future. Just for staff to step all over them. I went to Serrano, I went to several schools in Snowline district and so did all my siblings and cousins. There use to be staff that valued it's students, advocated for its students, and taught them valuable life lesson instead of stomping on them. That's not the case today. I know this cant be fixed for my daughter. I know both the schools and the district's only action will be to cover themselves. But maybe this will help someone else advocate for their youth. Maybe if enough of us share concern change will be made to help other students.

When I had questions they were answered with kindness and everyone has a great attitude. The special education department is really good. It is amazing to see how the students and staff treat the kids who have disabilities. I've been to a lot of schools where the special education students are shunned to a corner of the school. Here the kids all eat together in the same area and are well received. On the physical education fields the kids all get along well. Middle school is a hard age for kids and it is nice to see a clean campus where everyone seems friendly. I was walking out of the gate and some of the students asked if I needed help because my hands looked full. It was nice to see the respect.

Don't work. I've seen people smuggle in knifes and air-soft guns STILL with those time consuming metal detectors. The school its self is very ghetto and I would really not send your kid here. The teaching curriculum is that of one that was simply taken from online and there's no creativity or hands-on learning experiences. They fire most of the school counselors especially if a student is bonding with them in a healthy way, and they do not know how to handle a crisis such as a school shooting, or a threat of. I would really much rather anybody reading this would send their kid ANYWHERE else.

We went…read morethe day before the test (Friday) to familiarize ourselves with the grounds and ensure she knew where to go on testing day. The staff were so cute and friendly. Some of them were dressed up for the holidays in movie character costumes. The front office was decorated and the atmosphere was so cheery. There were other students and parents waiting in the small space near the front office desk. On the day of the test (Saturday)- The school has a large parking lot but it is shared with Victor Valley College (VVC). We weren't sure if we needed parking passes so I purchased a $3 pass for the day at one of the VVC ticket machines. The school appears to offer transportation to students as we saw several buses on the Friday we went. We also saw what appeared to be armed security guards wearing black. It's understandable with the recent school shootings in America. Overall, my daughter said her test taking experience was very good. She was able to find an outlet in the classroom she went to and plug in her laptop. Were very blessed and grateful to have had this school as a location for the test. Thanks Excelsior!!!

I never got in trouble or got a lunch intervention in anyway but during my 8th grade year we had the Grad Night field trip to universal studios. I got in trouble right before that for telling the truth about something that happened. I was the only one who got in trouble as well. I had to get taken out of my leadership class, get all my classes switched, I got suspended, and my field trip taken away that I payed $120 for while the others girls still got to go. This is a horrible place to be. In my 6th grade year I had to get a pedo teacher fired and sent to prison after 12 years of harassing little girl, me being one of them. The school handles nothing and never listens to their students. There have been countless times where teachers or subs have been upright disrespectful and rude to student saying things like "you should go k*ll yourself." This school offered me nothing but insecurity and depression. Every year I have dreaded going back. Do not put your kids through the things I had to go through.
